    Butler, Scott M. - Age 80, of the City of Tonawanda, July 31, 2021. Husband of 59 years to Roberta (nee Fire) Butler; father of Robin O'Brocta and Christian Butler; grandfather of Katelyn McCadden, Scott O'Brocta, Ryan O'Brocta, Ashley Bump, Andrew Butler and Spencer Butler; great-grandfather of Penelope, Nathan and the late Lennon; brother of Dorothy Mercer, James (Andrea) Butler, the late Sharon Trentini and the late William Butler; also predeceased by his parents H.McKey and Rose Ann (nee Loree) Butler. Scott was a longtime employee in the parts department of Gambino Ford where he received numerous awards for his excellent service. He also enjoyed his helping role at Nana’s Creative Development Center. Calling hours will be held Wednesday August 4th 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.), Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 5 at 11 AM in St. Timothy R.C. Church, 565 East Park Dr., Town of Tonawanda. Everyone is welcome. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at ROTHFUNERAL.com

    Mr. and Mrs. Scott McKey
    Butler have returned
    f r o m a wedding trip to
    Maryland and are at home
    in 344 Hinds St., Tonawanda.
    The bride is the former Miss
    Roberta J. Fire, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Robert A. Fire of 360
    Tremont St. Mr. Butler is the son
    of Mr. and Mrs. H. McKey Butler
    of 64 Grove St., Tonawanda.
    Their marriage was performed
    recently in a double ring ceremony
    in Ascension Church, North
    Tonawanda. The Rev. Francis A.
    Hunt officiated. Pompons and
    gladioli adorned the altar for the'
    ceremony.
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a gown of imported
    Belgium Chantilly lace
    over satin designed with a pearl
    edged neckline and emphasizing
    an Empire waistline. The full princess
    skirt extended into a chapel
    train. Her veil of illusion was
    caught to a crown of lace
    trimmed-pleated tulle petals with
    teardrop pearls on the forehead.
    She carried white roses and pompons
    centered with an orchid on
    a white prayer book and crystal
    rosary.
    Miss Laura Ann Brandt, maid
    of honor for her cousin, wore a
    magenta satin sheath dress with
    a full overskirt of matching fabric,
    and a short circular veil held .
    by a satin petal cap. Her bouquet
    was of yellow roses.
    The Misses Marie Fire, sister
    of the bride, and Carol Nuchereno,
    bridesmaids, wore sapphireblue
    satin gowns and headpieces
    and carried bouquets of y e l l ow
    roses. Miss Carolyn Fire was flower
    girl for her cousin.
    Michael Loree, the bridegroom's
    cousin, was best man. Ushers
    were Robert Sommers and Gerald
    Mosey. Guy Gane, cousin of the
    bride, was the ringbearer.
    Mrs. Fire favored an orchid
    wool sheath dress with complementary
    accessories. Mrs. Butler
    selected a silver-gray and white
    brocaded dress and jacket with
    white accessories. Both wore corsages
    of yellow roses. Mrs. Leroy
    Zaggel Sr., grandmother of
    the bride, Mrs. H. McKey Butler
    Sr. and Mrs. G. Scott Loree,
    grandmothers of the bridegroom,
    all wore corsages of pink roses
    to complement their attire.
    A breakfast for the immediate
    families and an evening reception
    for 350 guests were given in the
    American Ukranian Hall, North
    Tonawanda and a buffet luncheon
    was given during the afternoon at
    the bridegroom's parents' home.
    Among those honoring the bride
    at pre-nuptial parties were Mrs.
    David Fahmer, Mrs. A r t h u r
    Brandt, Mrs. Robert Fire and
    Mrs. James Friner. A dinner party
    was given by the bridegroom's
    parents in their home for the
    bridal couple and their attendants.
