Obituary of Wesley W. Rohring
Wesley W. “Sonny” Rohring, age 79, of Wilson entered into rest on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Wesley was born May 10, 1942, in Wilson, NY. He is the son of the late Wesley R. and the late Elsie (Zastrow) Rohring. Sonny was a graduate of Wilson H.S class of 1960. He married the late Carol Cecala on January 27, 1978. Sonny served in the U.S Army from 1961 to 1964. He was employed by the Operating Engineers Local # 463, also Hasley Construction. Sonny enjoyed building houses, construction and helping others. Surviving are his children, Samantha (Bill) Kennedy, Tamara Rohring and Susan (Eric) Hyjek; his siblings, Yvonne Gruper, Robert Rohring and Sally Brown; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sonny is predeceased by three siblings, Nelson Rohring, Dolores Allgeier and James Rohring. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 5 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. A prayer service will take place at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ron Haefer. WILSON, Nov. 9-Former chair-
man of the Town Board of Assessors,
William C. Rohring, 82. of
Lake Ave., died yesterday (Nov. 8,
1955) in Ransomville General Hospital
where he had been a patient
for several weeks.
Born in Germany Dec. 5, 1872,
Mr. Rohring came to the United
States with his parents in 1885. The
family took up residence in Brayley
Rd. His parents were Charles and
Wilhelmina Rohring.
Mr. Rohring married Reka Kraus
of this village in 1893. She died
in 1931. He was married to Cecilia
Kiegler, Buffalo, in 1933.
Survivors include his wife; five
sons, Elwood, Glenn,-.Clarence,
Wesley and Levell Rohring; a'
daughter, Mrs. Mabel Urtel, all of,
the Town of Wilson; two stepsons
August Kiegler, Buffalo, and Paul
Kiegler, Hopewell. Va.; 20 grandchildren
and 28 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Wilbur-
Rohring. All his children were
born during his first marriage.
Mr. Rohring operated a farm in
Town Line Rd. until 1926 when
he retired from farming. He served
as tax collector for two years, as
superintendant of highways for 10
years and as a member of the Board
of Assessors for 20 years, 18 of
which as chairman.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Friday at thc residence,
and at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran
Church. North Ridge, at
2:30. Burial will be in the Lutheran
Cemetery. North Ridge. The Rev.
Carl W. Oldach will officiate.

Besides the husband Mrs. Rohring Is
survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel
Urtle, of Wilson, six sons, Ellwood,
Glen, Clarence, Wesley and Lilbert, all
of Wilson, and LeVell, of Niagara Falls,
14 grandchildren, one sister, Lena
Schcffler, of Wilson, and one brother,
John Kroff, of Grand Rapids, Mich.

o'clock and from St, Peter's Lutheran
