    William A. “Bill” Pierangelino, Sr., 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 23, 2021 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Silvio and Maria (Burnetti) Pierangelino.
    Bill was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1956. On August 19, 1959 he married his beloved wife, Patricia D. “Pattie” (Moore) Pierangelino in the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Mrs. Pierangelino predeceased him on July 3, 2018.
    Bill began working at the New York Power Authority, as well as various local factories prior to working alongside his brother, Pierre. In 2000, he retired from the New York State Parks & Recreation Department as an electrician after 20 years.
    Bill was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church and its Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247 and a boy scout leader in his younger years. Bill was an avid dice player, enjoyed going to the casino, and enjoyed small craft projects in his later years.
    Mr. Pierangelino is survived by his children, Laurie (James) Fasciano, William A. Pierangelino, Jr., Christina Pierangelino (Jerry Carella); his grandchildren, Maria (Vernon) DiCarlo, Daniel (Safah) Fasciano, Katherine (Max) Sokolov, Marisa Pierangelino, Janelle Pierangelino, Amanda (David) Wylucki and was predeceased by one granddaughter, Kayla Ackerson-Pease. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Margo and Vienna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his siblings, Elmita (late Nick) Petrillo, Rose (late John) Pennington, Andrew (late Mary) Pierangelino, Albert Pierangelino, Guido (late Josephine) Pierangelino, Dr. Rudolph Pierangelino, Henry “Pierre” Pierangelino, and John (Jan) Pierangelino.
    Mr. Pierangelino’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29 at 12:30 PM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Military honors and entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bill and his granddaughter Kayla to the Epilepsy Foundation, 3540 Crain Highway Suite 675 Bowie, MD 20716.
