    Obituary of David L. Haseley

    David L. Haseley went to be with the Lord November 9, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born November 25, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Max F. and Irma Haseley.  David worked for Grand Island Sales & Service for 37 years retiring in 2007.  He loved farming, David worked with his father on the Max Haseley & Son Farm and after he retired he worked with his cousins Don Walck and Andrew Milleville at the A & M Farms.
    David is survived by his wife of 21 years Joanne (Genet) Haseley; children Cheryl (Michael) Newton, Daryl (Rachel) Haseley, and the late Shawn Haseley; five grandchildren; sisters Diane (late Russell) Frerichs and Shirley (Howard) Walck; also several nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Nov. 12th from 11 AM to 12 Noon with funeral services following at 12 Noon all at the Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, 8590 Rochester Rd., Gasport, NY 14067.  Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the church or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.

    Jane Marie Nichols, 79, of Ransomville entered into rest on Friday October 1, 2021, at Roswell Park Cancer Inst. in Buffalo, NY. She was born on January 17, 1942, to the late Alvin and Lydia Haseley Stoelting in Niagara Falls, NY. Jane was baptized on February 01, 1942, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz and confirmed at the church on April 29, 1956. She was a 1960 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield and was employed by the school district and Johnston’s Restaurant retiring in 2006. Jane was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Fellowship Committee, the Ransomville Rural Retirees, and the Red Hat Hatters of Niagara. She loved being together with her family, gardening, cooking, antiquing, and watching New York Yankees baseball.Jane is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Newton; her grandchildren Jason (Ashley) Scarf, Justin Scarf (Jennifer Hubachner), Nicole Newton (Matthew Miller), Nathan Newton and Jayson Newton; her brothers Roy and Larry Stoelting and her niece Christine Stoelting. She is predeceased by her son Shawn Haseley, her loving companion Louis W. Wiepert and loving friend Thomas Hillman.Calling hours will be held at the Hardison Funeral Homes Inc. 3648 Ransomville Rd.     Church, was the setting for the. marriage
    of Miss Jane M. Stoelting and David L.
    Haseley Saturday (Nov. 26, 1960).
    Rev. Robert F. Jaeger officiated- at the
    double-ring ceremony uniting the daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stoelting, Sy
    Road* Niagara Palls, and the.son of/Mr.
    and Mrs. Max Haseley, Saunders Settlement
    Road, Lewiston.

    GIVEN IN marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a white peau de soie gown
    with appliques of Alencon lace and pearls
    at the scoop neckline and circling the
    bouffant skirt. .
    A large bow accented the skirt back
    which continued to a chapel train. A crystal
    crown held her pearl-edged scalloped
    veil, and she carried a bouquet of white
    pompons, stephariotis and an orchid.

    MRS. JAMES Doebler was matron of
    honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Marlene
    Haseley, Diane Haseley, Suzane Walck
    and Cecile Camann. Miss Shirley Haseley
    was a junior bridesmaid.
    The attendants were similary attired in
    gowns of periwinkle blue with bow band
    headpieces and bouquets of yellow and
    white shasta daisies.
    Iris Haseley was flower girl gowned
    in white silk over periwinkle taffeta with
    a bow headpiece and yellow and white
    daisies.
    Donald Walck was best man. The guests
    were seated by Roy Stoetling, Edward
    Wendt, Marvin Beutel and Roy Milleville.

    A RECEPTION immediately following
    the ceremony was held at the Bergholtz
    Fire Hall.
    When Mr. and Mrs. Haseley return from
    a New England wedding trip, they will
    reside in Saunders Settlement Road, Lewiston

    TOWN OF LEWISTON - Max F. Haseley. who retired from the Niagara County Highway Department in 1980, died in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Tuesday (Feb. 16, 1988).
    Haseley, 70, pf Saunders Settlement Road, was a native of the Town of Lewiston and a longtime member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn.
    He is survived by his wife, Irma H. Haseley; a son, David Haseley of Sanborn; daughters, Diane Frerichs and Shirley Walck, both of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell. Burial will be at church's cemetery.
    Contributions to the church's memorial fund are acceptable as tribute.

    Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on  Monday, October 30, 2017, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was born in Town of Niagara, NY, on April 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Anthony and Hulda [Kroening]  Haseley.
    Mrs. Haseley was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family , grandchildren, great grandchildren , who were the love of her life. A life long member of St. Peter's Church, she always talked to everyone about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
    She was the widow of Max F. Haseley, who passed away in February of 1988. Mrs. Haseley is  survived by a son, David [Joanne] Haseley, two daughters, Diane M. (late Russell) Frerichs and Shirley J. (Howard) Walck, eight grandchildren Cheryl Newton, Shawn Haseley, Daryl (Rachel) Haseley, Kim (Bruce) DeVantier, Kelli (Randy) Kaminski, Kristen (Greg) Schuey, Brent (Andrea) and Bruce (Jennifer) Walck, also sixteen great grandchildren, one great  great granddaughter, also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edwin and  Harvey Haseley, Frances Walck and Hilda Wendt.
    Her family will be present on   Saturday from 10-1:00 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Thomas Thorstad officiating.
    A special Thank you to all the staff at Our Lady of Peace 2 West.
    Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Peter's Church or School.
    Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Sanborn, NY.

    LYDIA A. STOELTING, age 97 of Wheatfield, NY was called to her heavenly home on June 18, 2019 at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. Born in the Town of Lewiston, NY on December 19, 1921; daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley. Lydia was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she had been an active member in the Ladies Aid, Alter Guild, Sunday School teacher, and Holy Ghost Seniors. She was also a member of the Wheatfield Seniors. Lydia was employed at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, and later for the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, retiring in 1986 as the head custodian. She served as a past president of the Niagara Wheatfield Non-instructional Association and a member of the Niagara Wheatfield Retirees. Lydia enjoyed doing Wonder Word Puzzles, reading, traveling and cooking.
    Survivors include three children, Jane Nichols, Roy Stoelting and Larry Stoelting; grandchildren, Cheryl (Mike) Newton and Christine Stoelting; great-grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Scarf, Justin Scarf, Nichole Newton, Nathan Newton and Jayson Newton; sister in law, Gladys Haseley; and many nieces and nephews.
    Lydia was predeceased by her husband, Alvin H. Stoelting on July 31, 1961. They were united in marriage on January 11, 1941; brothers, Norman (Myra), Marcus (Lizze), Wallace (Cordia), William (Irma), Richard (Helma), Benjamin, and Albert (Althea) Haseley; and sister, Esther (Irwin) Beutel.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday, June 21 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Saturday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street, Bergholz. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
