Richard E. Lemke age 88 of the Town of Wheatfield Sunday February 3, 2019 in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Richard was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a member of the Rescue Fire Company in No. Tonawanda and St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. 
Beloved husband of 67 years of Virginia (Andrees) Lemke; Dear father of Richard (Val) Lemke of No. Tonawanda, Debra (Richard Severson) Lemke of Ft. Myers, FL, Wayne (Julie) Lemke of Strongsville, OH, Wendy (Jeffrey)Binkley of No. Tonawanda , Jeffrey (Darlene) Lemke of Pryor, OK, Jayne Lemke of No. Tonawanda, Robert (Tracey) Lemke of Delmar, NY and Rebecca Barry of No. Tonawanda; Grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Virginia Lemke (nee Andrees), age 90, of the Town of Wheatfield, suddenly, September 27, 2021, at her home. Virginia was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Rescue Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Lemke, who died in 2019, they had been married for 67 years. Dear mother of Richard (Val) Lemke Debra (Richard Severson) Lemke, Wayne (Julie) Lemke, Wendy (Jeffrey) Binkley, Jeffrey (Darlene) Lemke, Jayne Lemke, Robert (Tracey) Lemke, and Rebecca Barry; Grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Sister of William C. (late Dolores) Andrees and the late Edward (late Arleen) Andrees,; aunt of several nieces and nephews. William C. Andrees, 100, a retired employee of the Wurlitzer Co. and a charter member of the Adams Fire Company and the Volunteer Fireman's Benevolent Association, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) in the Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo after a brief illness.
He was born in Wheatfield, where he worked on his parents' farm and attended St. John Lutheran School.
For 42 years, he worked at the former Wurlitzer Co. in North Tonawanda as a lumber handler and as an assistant supervisor. He retired in 1965.
Andrees was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
His wife, the former Florence M. Heschke, died in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Edward W. of North Tonawanda and William A.; a daughter, VA Lemke of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, Ward Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

William married HESCHKE, Florence Freda on 27 Jun 1920 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. Mr. and Mrs. William C Andrees
of Wheatfield celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary Thursday
Mr. Andrees and the former
Florence Heschke were married
June 27,1920, at St John's Lutheran
Church, Ward Road. Wheatfield, by
the Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke They
are still members of the church and
are the longest married couple in the
congregation.
They have three children, Edward
(Arlene), William (Dolores) and
Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Lemke, all
residing in Wheatfield. They have 13
grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Mr Andrees was employed by the
Wurlitzer Company for 40 years
retiring in 1967. They are charter
members of Adams Fire Company
and Ladies Auxiliary.
Mr Andrees enjoys working in his
garden and taking care of their
home.
