    Sybil G. Balcom (Nee Brenchley), age 95, of Youngstown entered into rest on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital of Lewiston, NY. Sybil was born on October 5, 1926, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Albert S. and the late Edith Anne (Steer) Brenchley. Sybil attended the Lewiston red brick school and also the Kelly Business School. She married Loren Balcom in 1947, he predeceased her in 1999.Sybil was employed in many other different positions including as a substitute aid at Lew-Port Schools. She also worked as a senior companion, also as a private secretary for Assemblyman Sumner Carroll. Sybil enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gardening, volunteering at ArtPark, she was an avid walker, also a Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.She is survived by four sons Kevin (Diane) Balcom of Youngstown, Robin S. Balcom of Corning, NY, Loren (Barbara) Balcom of Franklinville and Daryl (Lisa) Balcom of Silvercreek; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 17th from 3-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, November 18th in the funeral homes with Rev. Paul Stolzenburg officiating.     Perry Balcom was solemnized
    Thursday evening in the St. Paul's
    Episcopal church, Lewiston, with
    the Rev. William Shannon officiat-
    ing at the double ring ceremony.
    White summer flowers decorated
    the altar and baskets of dephinium
    and ferns were arranged at the
    chancel.
    Miss Violet Jeffords,, at the organ
    and Mrs. Myron Jeffords, soloists,
    provided the musical setting for the
    service. The bride is the daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. A. S.. Brenchley,
    Ridge road, Lewiston, and the
    bridegroom is the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Charles Bacom Sr., Creekk
    road, Youngstown.The bride, given in marriage by
    her father, wore a white silk marquisette
    genm with court train. Her
    finger tip veil of illusion fell from
    a beaded tiara. She carried a bouquet
    of bluish carnations centered
    with three gardenies.
    Mrs. George Stout, sister of the
    bride, was matron of honor. Mrs.
    Neville Brenchley was the bridesmaid
    and Beverly Stout and Pattie
    Brenchley nere the flower girls.
    Mr. Lorelle Balcolm was the best
    man and Mr. Neville Brenchley.
    Mr. Richard Kathan and Mr. Charlea
    Monin were the ushers.
    After the reception at the home
    ot the parents of the bride, Mr. and
    Mrs. Balcolm left on a tnp. the
    bride traveling in a suit of brown
    gabardine with white accessories.
    She wore a corsage of gardinias.

    YOUNGSTOWN, March 5-
    Charles F. Balcom, 68, died suddenly
    of a heart attack at his home at Ft.
    Niagara beach. The Youngstown
    Volunteer Fire company first aid
    crew was called but Mr. Balcom
    failed to respond to treatment.
    He was born in the Town of Porter
    and operated farms in this area
    until his retirement several years
    ago. Last summer his home, in the
    C'tek road near Tower's Corners,
    v.as burned to the ground and a
    new home, under construction, is
    nearly completed Mr. Balcom is
    a former member of Fort Niagara
    Lodge. IOOF.
    He is survived by his wife, Daisy
    Balcom: three daughters, Mrs. Henry
    F. Myers. Belgium: Mrs. Elwin Stol-
    zenberg. Burt, and Mrs. James Brosman.
    this village; six sons. Lorelle,
    Ransomville; Russell. Barker: Virgil.
    Rochester, Charles and Loren,
    both of this village, and Paul, at
    home: 14 grandchildren and three
    sisters. Mrs. Farl Myers. Miss Libby
    Hotchkin and Mrs Burt Langdon,
    all of Ransomville.
    Funeral services will be held Wed-
    nesday at 2 p.m. at the Hardison
    Funeral home, Ransomville. The
    Rev. A.C. French, of St. John's
    Episcopal church, will officiate. In-
    terment will be in Oakland Rural
    cemetery.

    82, of 7878 Haight Road,
    died Wednesday (July 1, 1970)
    at Ransomville General Hospital
    after a long illness.
    A former resident of the Creek
    Road, Youngstown, Mrs. Balcom
    was born July 4, 1887, in
    Lewiston, daughter of Mathias
    and Marietta Van Luven. She
    was the widow of the late
    Charles Balcom.
    She was a member of the Rebekah
    Lodge No. 459 of Lewiston,
    the Lewiston-Porter Golden
    Age Club and the Fillmore United
    Methodist Church.
    She is Survived by six sons,
    Lorelle Balcom, Ransomville;
    Russell and Paul Balcom of
    Barker; Virgil Balcom of Rochester,
    and Charles, and Loren
    Balcom of Youngstown; three
    daughters, Mrs. Lila Myers,
    Youngstown; Mrs. Grace Stolzenberg
    of Burt, and Mrs. Nor-
    man Brasnan, Niagara Falls;
    34 grandchildren and 30 greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hardison
    Funeral Home, Ransomville,
    with the Rev. Frank Mac-
    Laughlin of the United Methodist
    Church officiating. Burial
    will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

    YOUNGSTOWN-Albert Brenchley, 75, of 3116 Oak
    St., died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1965) after suffering an
    apparent heart attack.
    Mr. Brenchley was pronounced
    dead on arrival at
    Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
    He was born in Broadstairs,
    England, and resided in this
    village for 26 years. He formerly
    worked for the Union
    Carbide Corp.
    Mr. Brenchley was a member
    of R.A.O.B. Maid of the
    Mist Lodge No. 16, Niagara
    Falls.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Mrs. Edith Brenchley; a son,
    Neville Brenchley, N 1 a g a ra
    Falls; two daughters, Mrs.
    George Stout, Welland, Ont.,
    and Mrs. Loren Balcom, this
    village; two brothers, Harold
    and Edward Brenchley and a
    sister, Beatrice Brenchley, all
    of England.
    Thirteen grandchildren and
    six great-grandchildren also
    survive.
    Funeral services will be
    hed Saturday at the Hardi-
    son Funeral Home, Lewiston,
    at 11 a.m. Rev. Albert French
    will officiate. Burial will be
    in Memorial Park Cemetery.

    25, letters testamentary were issued
    to Charles E. Balcom. All of the
    real estate, given in the petition as
    $1,500, is left to the husband, Mathlas
    Van Luven. The personal property Is
    valued at $25. Frances Parker, a
    daughter, Is left $160 and several articles
    of furniture: Daisy Balcom another
    daughter, receives furniture,
    furnishings and $100; and all of the
    real estate goes to a son, Levi Van
    Luven at the death of his father.
    Another son, Henry, is left one dollar
    In the will.
