Obituary of Patrick J. DiLaura
Patrick J. DiLaura, age 86, of the Town of Lewiston, husband of Frances L. DiLaura entered into rest on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at home. Mr. DiLaura was born on March 19, 1935, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Sadie (LaBarbera) DiLaura. Patrick graduated from Niagara Falls H.S class of 1952. He married Frances L. (Jordan) Nienburg on July 5, 1974. Patrick retired from National Biscuit Co. in Niagara Falls where he worked in the cooking Dept. for 45 years retiring in 1997. He and Frances are members of Immaculate Conception RC Church, he was an avid organic gardener, enjoyed bowling, fishing, all sports and a love of the outdoors.Surviving is his wife, Frances L. (Jordan) DiLaura; his son; James (Bunny) DiLaura of Wilson; stepchildren, Laurel (Leslie) Frey of Youngstown, Sheryl Urczyk of Lewiston, August “Bud” (Tammy) Nienburg of Niagara Falls, Valarie Nienburg of Lewiston, and Katherine (Jim) Farmer of Wingate, NC.; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; his nephews Joseph, Patrick, and Michael DiLaura and a niece Anne Marie DiLaura. He is predeceased by his brother Joseph M. ( late Dolores) DiLaura of Niagara Falls.Calling hours will be held on MONDAY from 4-7 PM. at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Town Line Rd., Ransomville, NY on TUESDAY (11/23) at 11:00 AM. (Please assemble at the church) Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National MS Society, WNY Chapter, 4245 Union Rd.
