    Amber McKenzie, 44, of Ransomville, NY, went home to be with her Savior and reunite with her father, on Wednesday, January 19. The daughter of Carolyn (Kreps) McKenzie and the late Rob R. McKenzie was born in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany where Rob was stationed while serving in the United States Army.
    Amber graduated from Niagara Falls High School, Niagara County Community College and received her Nursing degree from Crouse Nursing School in Syracuse, NY. She was dedicated to her profession as a homecare scheduling supervisor for 18 years at Niagara Hospice, and currently at Venture Forthe for the past three years.
    Amber lived for her family, especially her father, who was her best friend. Together they enjoyed playing the game, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? She was also devoted to her Christian faith and was a member of The Bridge First Assembly of God Church for over 30 years.
    In addition to her beloved mother, Carolyn, Amber is survived by her loving brother, Nathan (Angela) McKenzie; her cherished niece and nephew, Victoria and Rob Roy; as well as her treasured aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
    Visitation will be on Friday, January 21 from 11 – 1 P.M. at The Bridge Assembly of God, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd. Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M for Amber and her father.     Rob R. McKenzie, 66, of Ransomville, NY, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, January 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Rob was the first son of the late A. Donald and Virginia (Wendt) McKenzie; and the beloved husband to Carolyn (Kreps) McKenzie who he married on July 6, 1974.
    Rob lived in Niagara Falls for the majority of his life and attended local schools. He proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1978. Rob was employed at Tam Ceramics Inc. for 22 years as the Occupational and Safety Health Supervisor, and also spent 6 years working at Air Sep Corp prior to his retirement.
    Rob was a faithful member of The Bridge Assembly of God, where he had served as a board member and as a Sunday school teacher for many years. One of his greatest joys was sharing his faith and love of Christ with other believers and non-believers a like.
    In addition to his loving wife, Carolyn, Rob is survived by his children, Amber McKenzie and Nathan (Angela) McKenzie; and two beautiful grandchildren, Victoria and Rob Roy, that were the apples of his eyes. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary (Brian) Dumont and Craig (Diane) McKenzie, and a host of in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Angus Donald McKenzie went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on October 22, 2011. He was 87. He was born in Mansfield, OH on May 6, 1924, a son of the late Angus Dougald and Della Marie (Steinberger) McKenzie.

    Mr. McKenzie served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944-1946, until he was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later graduated from Case Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. McKenzie was the president of Wendt’s Dairy until his family sold the business. Following his retirement from Wendt’s he worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for 17 years.

    Mr. McKenzie was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church until his family moved to Youngstown, where they joined the Lutheran Church of the Messiah. He was also a member of the LaSalle Lions Club, the LaSalle Business and Professional Association, the Niagara Club and the 1-3 Club. He enjoyed taking day trips with his family to Lutheran Camp Pioneer in Angola, NY to which he made many engineering improvements over the years. He enjoyed playing badminton, tennis, riding his bicycle every day, walking and taking day trips to Toronto every week. Mr. McKenzie traveled to many countries over the years and took a trip around the world at the age of 82.

    He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Virginia (Wendt) McKenzie of Youngstown; his daughter, Mary (Brian) Dumont of Midlothian, VA; his two sons, Rob Roy (Carolyn) McKenzie of Niagara Falls and Craig (Diane) McKenzie of Midlothian, VA; and his sister, Julia (late Robert) Watterson. Mr. McKenzie is also survived by five grandchildren, Amber, Nathan (Angela), Mallory, Kyle McKenzie and Kayleigh Dumont; two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Rob Roy McKenzie and six nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday at the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Oneida Street in Lewiston on Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Messiah or Niagara Hospice House.

    On Thursday, January 8, 2015, Virginia Goerss Wendt McKenzie entered peacefully into her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ after a long battle with diabetes. Virginia was born January 25, 1929, the youngest of three daughters of the late Edwin and Mabel Wendt in Niagara Falls, New York.
    Virginia attended Cayuga Drive Elementary School and LaSalle High School where she achieved high honors. After leaving high school, Virginia pursued higher education as a music (Organ) major at Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio where she met her husband to be, Angus Donald McKenzie (who was attending college at Case University in Cleveland) at a blind date dance. They married on June 23, 1951 and over the next 10 years adopted three children through the Lutheran Service Society. They moved from their home on Cayuga Island to Youngstown, NY in 1971. Virginia was predeceased by her husband on October 22, 2011, shortly after celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
    Virginia was an accomplished organist and used her talent to the Glory of God at Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. For a short time she worked in the accounting department at Wendt’s, her father’s dairy. Besides being a loving homemaker and mother to her children, Virginia donated considerable amounts of time to organizations in Niagara Falls such as the Niagara Falls Little Theater, The Niagara Falls Service League, President of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, and the Tatler Club of Niagara Falls.
    Virginia is survived by her three children, Mary (Brian) Dumont and Craig (Diane) McKenzie, both of Midlothian, VA, Rob (Carolyn) McKenzie of Ransomville, NY. Five grandchildren - Amber, Nathan (Angela), Mallory, Kyle and Kayleigh. Two great-grandchildren - Victoria Lynn and Rob Roy. She is also survived by her sister Win (late Sidney) Walton, her sister-in-law Judy (late Bob) Watterson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marlie (late Bob) Jove.
    Funeral arrangements are being made through the Lane Funeral Home (which will be announced at a later date). Internment will be at the Oakland Rural Cemetery in Youngstown, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in honor of Virginia can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 420 Lockport Street, Youngstown, NY 14174, or the Hospice of Virginia Foundation, 1700 Bayberry Court, Richmond, Virginia 23226 or a charity of your choice.

    Palms and burning tapers in
    wrought iron candelabra were placed
    on either side of the. altar. Tall
    beauty baskets of white chrysanthemums
    and shasta daisies stood on
    the chanceL steps and white satin
    ribbon marked the places for guests.
    The Rev. Lawrence E. Heffurth officiated
    at the double ring ceremony
    and the musical setting was provided
    by Dr. Roberta Bitgood, Buffalo,
    at the organ. Miss Elsa Vorwerk,
    soloist, sang "Where E'er You Walk"
    by Handel and "I Love You," by
    Beethoven.
    Escorted to the altar by her father,
    the bride wore a gown of imported
    Belgian lace. The beftha collar formed
    a sweetheart necklme edged with
    an embroidery of seed pearls and
    the long sleeves came to points over
    the hands. The full skirt of lace
    over taffeta fell into a chapel-length
    train. Her fingertip veil of illusion
    fell from a bandeau of tiny' illusion
    ruffles and orange blossoms. She
    carried a white prayerbook topped
    with a white orchid and cascading
    satin streamers. °
    Miss Gwendolyn Gale, Lincoln,
    Mass., maid of honor, was gowned
    in lemon yellow featuring a sleeveless
    bodice'of lace with a deep rounded
    neckline and a full skirt of net with'
    wide bands of matching lace over
    taffeta. She wore short white kid
    gloves and a crown of talisman and
    yellow roses matched her crescentshaped
    bouquet.
    The bridesmaids. Mrs. Robert S.
    Watterson, 3rd, Salem, O., sister of
    the bridegroom, and Miss Emma
    Jane de Long, Reading, Pa., wore
    ensembles designed like that of the
    maid of honor in Nile green and
    carried similar bouquets of yellow
    roses and daisies. ,
    Judith Anne and Robeta Leigh
    Walton, nieces of the bride, as flower
    girls, wore floor-length Kate Greenaway
    frocks of lavender organdy
    with a wide scalloped collar and deep
    skirtband of embroidered white organdy
    edged with dainty lace. They
    wore a crown of white daisies and
    carried baskets of yellow roses" and

    white daisies.
    Mr. 'Robert E. Lee, this city and
    Ann Arbor, Mich., was best man.
    The ushers were Mr. Ted Berlincourt,
    Schenectady; Mr* Todd Strohnberger,
    Mansfield, O., and Mr." Sidney G.
    Walton, this city.
    The , bride's mother favored a
    floor-length gown oL heavenly blue
    chiffon with a long-sleeved bolero of
    matching lace. Her accessories were
    pink and she wore a corsage of pink
    roses. Mrs. MacKenzie was gowned
    in green lace and matching bolero,
    with white accessories and a corsage
    of white roses. Mrs. Donald Steinburger,
    grandmother of the bridegroom,
    was gowned in pink with
    white and blue accessories and a
    conage of white roses.
    Immediately following the ceremony
    a reception was held at the
    home of the bride's parents where
    guests were received before the
    flower-banked fireplace. The threetiered
    wedding cake and lighted
    tapers graced the table in the diningroom
    where punch and cookies were
    served. A buffet supper was served
    the guests.
    For traveling to Michigan, the
    bride wore a dress of frosted navy
    blue nylon sheer over taffeta with
    navy blue milan straw hat. a white
    topper and white accessories. She
    wore an orchid corsage.
    After the wedding trip. Mr. MacKenzie
    and his bride will reside in
    Cleveland, O.

    Dairy Inc. and a vice president
    of the First Federal and Savings
    Loan Association, died at
    his home today (March .31,
    1965).
    Mr. Wendt, who resided at

    years.

    La Salle, Dec. 29.—A quiet but pret-
    ty wedding w a s solemnized at six o'clock
    last Sunday evening at t h e
    L u t h e r a n parsonage on t h e Military
    road, when the Rev. Daniel F . Goerss
    united in marriage, in t h e presence of
    a few Immediate relatives and friends,
    his sister Miss Mabel G. Goerss and
    Edwin J. Wendt, both of t h e Military ng
    service was used. The bride was
    charming in a brown traveling suit
    and hat to match, while her maid
    wore a navy blue suit. Both carried
    corsage bouquets of chrysanthemums.
    Following the ceremony a wedding
    supper was served, covers being laid
    for 10. Mr. and Mrs. Wendt a r e now
    visiting relatives in Joliet. III., a nd
    upon their return to LaSalle ' next
    month they will take up their residence
    in Cayuga place.
