RICHARD J. MILLER, age 94 of Wheatfield, NY was call peacefully to his heavenly home on February 7, 2022, while under the loving care of his family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 5, 1927; son of the late Harold and Elsie (Davey) Miller. Richard was employed at Nabisco, and later for the U.S. Postal Service, for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he previously served as an usher and treasurer. Richard was also an exempt member of the Bergholz Fire Company where he served for 75 years, and enjoyed cooking chowder and helping with company events. He was also a member of the Wheatfield Seniors, the National Association of Letter Carriers -branch 3, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Eva (Krull) Miller, after 56 years; a sister, Elaine Ellen Miller; and two furchildren, Ava and Joey.Survivors include his five children, Elaine Timm, Bruce (Debra) Miller, Mark (Mary) Miller, Ellen (Mickey Belasco) Miller, and Elyse Miller; grandchildren, Robert Timm, Neal Zysk, Shana (Robert) House, Carly Miller, and Jett House; two brothers, David (Maryam) Miller, Lary (Sandy) Miller; and two fur-grand babies, Aurora and Athena.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Thursday (Feb. 10) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street, in Bergholz. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Edward W. Krull, a retired millwright and the last surviving charter member of the Pekin Volunteer Fire Company, died Wednesday (Aug. 14, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. Krull, 91, was a resident of the Crestwood Health Care Center. He was born in Wheatfield and was a former resident of North Tonawanda and Niagara Falls. He worked as a millwright for 28 years at the former Hooker Chemical Corp. in North Tonawanda. He retired in 1967. Krull and his wife, the former Ida P. Schoder, who died in 1987, enjoyed farming and sold produce at a roadside stand in front of their Cayuga Drive home in Niagara Falls. He was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Krull is survived by four sons, Karl of Ohio, Kenneth of Niagara Falls, Howard of Texas and Daniel of Ransomville; a daughter, Eva Miller; a sister, Loretta Heiman of Niagara Falls; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The Pekin Fire Company will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.

ROCKWOOD – Wanda Krull Rockwood, 1223 88th St., Niagara Falls, died Tuesday (Feb. 15, 1966) at Doctors Hospital, Town of Tonawanda. Widow of Charles Rockwood; mother of Mrs. George (Loretta) Heiman and Edward Krull of Niagara Falls, and Wilbert and Elwood Krull Sanborn, N.Y.; sister of Mrs. Amos (Louise) Haseley, Mrs. Anna (Fess) Goodrich and Mrs. Leona Tonner, all of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Phillip LaMantia of Miami, Fla., and Frederick Mehls Webber of West Seneca. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. The Rev.
