    Janet Marie Pullo, 83, passed peacefully at her residence in Sanborn on 13 May 2022. Daughter of Edward (d 2000) & Francis (Essenburg) Blair (d 2012). Beloved wife of Norman J. Pullo (d 1995), she is survived by her sister Gail (Robert) Nugent, two sons, Mark (Brenda) & Scott (Michele), grandson Michael & granddaughter Tara. Also two nieces, Lynn (Tim) Braley & Michelle (John) Laganiak, two nephews, Patrick (Amy) Nugent and Saverio Gonzales, two sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Ernie) Chank & Norma Gonzales and long-time companion Mr. Walter Wasyluk.

    Janet enjoyed her ladies’ golf leagues, gardening, traveling, dancing, roller skating & her cats.

    Funeral services will be held at North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Ave in North Tonawanda on 29 May @ 12:15 pm.

    A Celebration of Life will be held at her residence following the service .. All are invited

    FUTURE BRIDE: Mr. and Mrs. Edward K. Blair, 742 Revere
    Ave., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage
    of their daughter, Janet Marie, to Norman John Pullo, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Saverio Pullo, Linwood Ave. Miss Blair
    and her fiance were graduated from North Tonawanda High
    School in 1957. She is affiliated with White Chapel Memorial
    Park and Mr. Pullo is an employe of the Midland Asphalt
    Co. The wedding will take place Aug. 29 in North Presbyterian
    Church.

    A lace mantilla matching the lace panels of her
    gown distinguished Miss Janet Marie Blair's bridal
    ensemble when she became the bride, Aug. 29. of Norman
    John Pullo in North Presbyterian Church.
    Palms and candelabra flanked °
    by vases ol gladioli and orchid
    pompons enhanced the altar as
    the Rev. Howard Still performed
    the double ring ceremony. Satin
    bows entwined with ivy marked
    the famiy pews and gladioli flow-
    erets and satin ribbons designated
    guest seats.
    Gordon Felton organist...accom-
    panied Mrs. Paul Lewis who sang
    "Prayer Perfect," "O Lord Most
    Holy" and "O Perfect Love."
    The bride is the daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs Edward K. Blair. 742

    Mr. Pullo is the son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Saverio Pullo, 205 Linwood
    Ave. North Tonawanda.
    The bride was given in marri-
    age by her father. Her gown of
    Chantilly lace and taffeta was
    styled with a Sabrina neckline and
    lantern sleeves. The sides and
    back of the bouffant skirt were
    accented in panels of lace termin-
    ating in a chapel train. Lace
    mitts matched her mantilla and
    she carried a circular bouquet of
    white roses, orchids and stephano-
    tis arranged with a cascade of
    roses, dracena leaves and varie-
    gated ivy.
    Orchid dotted Swiss ballerina
    length gowns were worn by the
    attendants, Misss Gail Blair, maid
    of honor for her sister, wore a
    gown designed with puff sleeves,
    a ruffle at the scoop neckline and
    a flounce accenting the himline of
    the circular skirt.
    The bridesmaids, the Misses
    Sharon hare, Karen Essenburg,
    the bride's cousin, and Norma
    Pullo, the bridegroom's sister,
    wore identical costumes and white
    chiffon hats and shoes. All carried
    circlet bouquets arranged with
    pink rose sprays and white French
    carnations and ivy.
    Micharl Pullo was best man for
    his brother, Dennis Carr, Vincent
    Crossley, Niagara Falls, the
    bridegroom's cousin, and Robert
    Pullo, his uncle, were ushers.
    Mrs. Blair wore a champagne
    color Chantilly lace sheath dress
    and taffeta overskirt. The bodice
    was designed with a scoop neck-
    line and scalloped bracelet length
    sleeves. She chose light blue ac-
    cessories.
    Mrs. Pullo's navy lace dress
    over kelly green satin was made
    with a fitted bodice and full skirt.
    She wore navy accessories. Both
    mothers complemented their cos-
    tumes with cymbidium orchid cor-
    sages.
    Attending the wedding were the
    bride's grandmother and grand-
    father, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
    Blair; the bridegroom's grandpar-
    ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ferloin
    Sr. and Mrs. Rose Pullo; and his
    great grandfather, M. Maione.
    White glamellia corsages were
    worn by their grandmothers.
    An open house party for 60
    guests was given immediately af-
    ter the ceremony in the bride's
    home. A pink and white theme
    decorated the american Legion
    Hall for an evening reception for
    550 guests. A four tiered cake in
    pink and white decorated with
    fern centered the table. Dolls
    flanking the cake, dressed in the
    orchid colors of the attendants,
    were made by the bride. Guests
    attended from New York City,
    Syracuse, Lewiston and Rome.
    For going away, the bride chose
    a beige suit, bllue accessories and
    a cymbidium orchid corsage. The
    couple traveled to the Pocono
    Mountains and will visit New York
    City before returning Sept. 8 to
    make their home in 367 Broad St.
    Hostesses at pre-nuptial parties
    for the bride included the brides-
    maids, Mrs. Rose Padwa, and
    Mrs. Wilbert Brenon. The bride-
    groom's parents entertained the
    wedding party after rehearsal.

    He was a lifelong resident
    of the Tonawandas and a
    member of the Grove Street
    Church of Christ in Tonawanda.
    Survivors i n c l u d e his
    widow, the former Augusta
    Nagel; three s o n s , Edward,
    Arthur and Darrow. Blair; a
    daughter, Mrs. Wllbert (Berawandas;
    eight grandchildren
    nice) Brennon, all of the Tonand
    two great-grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted
    at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the
    Frethold Funeral Home, Rev.
    Donald L. Gardner officiating.
    Burial will be in White
    Chapel Memorial Park.

    funeral home from 2 to 4 and
    7 to 8 p.m.

    (new Nagel) 77, of 742 Revere
    Ave., North Tonawanda, Mon-
    day (Sept. 28, 1964). She was the
    wife of the late Herbert J. Blair,
    who died in May. Surviving are
    three sons, Darrow H., Arthur
    and Edward K. Blair, and a
    daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Brenon,
    all of the Tonawandas. Also sur-
    viving are eight grandchildren
    and two great - grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Fretthold
    Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St.
    at Waard Road, North Tonawan-
    da, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
