Linda S. (Kitcho) Giannone, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Janet (Sullivan) Kitcho.
Linda was raised in Sanborn where she graduated from Starpoint High School. On February 25, 1969 she married the love of her life, Anthony V. Giannone.
Linda retired from the Niagara-Wheatfield School District as a custodian after many years of dedication. She also co-owned and operated Mr. G’s Pizza alongside her husband on Lockport Road in the 1980s.
Linda was an exceptional baker and especially known for her apple pies. She enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time with her grandchildren. An avid fan of Big Foot and Jurassic Park, Linda also enjoyed watching sports. Above all, Linda had a kind-hearted soul, and will be greatly remembered as a loving caregiver to her family and friends.
In addition to her husband on 54 years, Linda is survived by her children, Scott A. Giannone and Vincent A. Giannone; her grandchildren, Anthony S. Giannone, Neyla P. Giannone, Noelle C. Giannone and Sasha M. Giannone; her precious dog, Hazel; seven siblings, Michael (Linda) Kitcho, Gary (Janelle) Kitcho, James (Rose) Kitcho, Catherine (Edward) Luzak, Jana Keough, Lori (Willie) Wilson and Phillip (Lisa) Kitcho, as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Sheila (Grant) Wolcott.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to The Summit Center, Autistic Services at thesummitcenter.org/donate/.
