Nelson S. Goodrich passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2022. He was born on May 14, 1932 in North Tonawanda to Chauncey and Gladys Goodrich. He was confirmed at Saint Martin's Lutheran Church in 1949. He was a 1950 graduate of North Tonawanda Senior High School. He attended Bryant/Stratton College where he received an Associates Degree in Business. Nelson proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956, as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. He served on 4 different destroyers, including the U.S.S. Rowe, assisting the Captain with office duties. After his discharge from the Navy he married Faith Gath and raised their family of 4 boys. He worked for Rich Products in Buffalo as the Director of Distribution. His hobbies included gardening, painting the barn, and golfing. He absolutely loved watching the movie "My Cousin Vinny" and various sports on TV. From 2001-2013, Nelson enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with his wife Faith. An innovative knack for repairing broken objects, he usually found a way to get things working again. A man of great faith in God, Nelson loved his family deeply.
Loving husband of Faith Goodrich for 64 years. Loving father of Gerald (Kathy), Roger (Shannon), James and Thomas.
Dear grandfather of Timothy, Rebeckah, Jeffrey (Hannah), Kimberly, and Justin. Great grandfather of Joshua, Miriam and Simon. Brother to Barbara Korb, and brother-in-law to Patricia Goodrich. He is predeceased by his siblings Glenn (Alene), Jean, and John Goodrich, and by his brother in-law James Korb. Step grandfather of Jacob (Jen) Dachauer, Nicole (Shaun) Carl, and Molly Dachauer, and step-great grandfather of Nathan, Arianna, Oliver and Evelyn. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda on Saturday November 26, 2022. Visitation with the family from 10-11 AM. A memorial service will begin at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery.

Fred A. Gath, 89, Dies
NORTH TONAWANDA - Fred A. Gath, 89, of 78 Washington St., a retired employe of the Buffalo Bolt Corp., died Friday evening (Nov. 27, 1959) at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in Wolcottsville, Mr. Gath resided in this city for the last 75 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Gratwick Hose Co. No. 6 and the Firemen's Benevolent Assn. His wife, Johanna Gath, died in 1948. Surviving are two sons, Edward Gath, this city, and Elmer Gath, Wheatfield; three daughters.Mrs. Carl Allyn, Mrs. Paul Mix and Mrs. Kenneth Runge, all of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Doebler, Mrs. Edward Wienke and Mrs. Edward Strassburg, all of this city, and Mrs. John Herman, Tonawanda; a brother, Edward Gath, this city; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The Rev. Lauren Shiley will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m: Monday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

18, was admitted to probate and letters
testamentary were Issued to a
son, William G. Scheibert, 566
Ward road, North Tonawanda.
The homestead and a three-acre
farm with all furnishings and
equipment were left in equal shares
to the son. William, another son,
Erwin, and a daughter, Hulda
Scheibert, all of 566 Ward road.
Cash bequests of $1,000 each were
made to the son, Erwin, and the
daughter, Hulda.
A bequest of $300 was made to a
granddaughter, Gladys Atwater. of
Binghamton. The residue was left
hi equal shares to the sons, William
and Erwin, the daughter, Hulda,
and another son, Ernest, of Chicago
and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Gath,
