Born on April 21st, 1961, to Douglas P. and Sally Ann (Nee Wolgast) Batt in North Tonawanda, NY. Jeffrey served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1980-1982. He was employed at Buffalo Fuel Corp. as a truck driver. Jeffrey was an avid outdoorsman for over 50 years, enjoyed building military models and collecting currency.Surviving is his children, Rachel Batt, Hollie (Travis) Bard, Ashley (Steve) Letts and Heather Batt; his siblings Brenda (Mike) Buchalski and Beth (Mike) Hejza, also 12 grandchildren and his wife Diane Batt (Nee Austin).Calling hours will be held on FRIDAY from 10:00 AM. to 1:00 PM. at the Hardison Funeral Homes Inc. 3648 Ransomville, Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM.     Edwin F. Batt, 43, deputy
    U. S. marshal in the Western
    New York District for ten years,
    died suddenly early today- in his
    home, 349 Tremont St. He was
    stricken with a heart attack and
    died before a physician arrived.
    A native of North Tonawanda,
    Mr. Batt played varsity football
    during his high school days. He
    was the son of the late Mr. and
    Mrs. John B. Batt.
    Mr. Batt was an active worker
    in the Democratic party here,
    assisting in campaigns under the
    chairmanship of the late John
    Bollier and Dow Vroman, and
    recently under Walter Jesella.
    He attended several state conventions
    and the 1949 Truman
    'Inauguration.
    Interested and active in the
    work, of Scouting, Mr. Batt organized
    and served as chairman
    of Cub Pack 71 in Martinsville
    fojr more than three years. He
    was a member of Elk's Club
    and Rescue Fire Company.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Laura, nee Smith; a son, Douglas;
    two brothers John, of Sanborn,
    and Lee -of North Tonawanda
    and a sister, Mrs. James
    Sheehan of Manchester, Conn.
    Services will be Saturday at
    8:45 a.m. in the Hamp Funeral
    Home, 37 Adam St., and at 9
    a.m. in St. Christopher's Church,
    Niagara Falls Blvd. The Rev.
    William Solleder will officiate.
    Burial will be in Mt. Olivet
    Cemetery.
