    Armenia - Peter A. "Pete"
    82, formerly of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, after a progressive illness. He was a resident of Northgate Healthcare Facility in North Tonawanda, NY, at the time of his passing. Pete worked for Jenss Department Stores for 60 years and was a 57-year member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. He was honored for his service by the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY). As a member of the Main Street Business Association of Niagara Falls, he was the recipient of the George Kurtzman Award for his enthusiasm and support of local businesses. He was also a donor to the Red Cross Plasmapheresis Program and the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. He loved spending time with family and friends and cherished every moment. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Suzanne I. (nee Lovegrove), a daughter Vita M. (Michael) Kuczma, three sons Peter M. (deceased), Roland P. (Laura) Armenia, and Armond A. (Kristen) Armenia, three grandchildren Keegan (Kirsten) Kuczma, Nicholas Armenia, and Garrett Armenia, one great-grandchild Kullen Kuczma, a brother Joseph P. (Karen) Armenia, a sister-in-law Michele (Andres) Huerta, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, April 23, from 11-2, at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Hall, 3747 Lockport Road in Sanborn.

    also survived by

    9 a.m. followed by a Mass
    of Christian Burial at St.

    Miss Blanche Border, daughter
    of Mrs. Lula Border of Dahlgren
    Place, became the bru'e of Mr.
    Donough Lovegrove, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Oren Lovegrove of
    Christiana street, Wednesday,
    April 15. The ceremony was performed
    in the rectory of Ascension
    church, the Rev. D. F.
    Malloy officiating.
    The bride wore a gray suit,
    with yellow accessories, and a
    shoulder bouquet of yellow roses
    and sweet peas. The bridesmaid,
    Miss Helen Finn was attired m
    a gray suit with blue accessories
    and wore a shoulder" bouquet
    of pink roses.
    The groom was attended by his
    brother, Mr. Francis Lovegrove.
    Following the ceremony a breakfast
    was served at the Cataract
    House, Niagara Falls.
    After a wedding trip to Cleveland,
    O., Mr. and Mrs. Lovegrove
    will make their home in Jamestown.

    George Border, 46 years old, of No
    268 1-2 Oliver street died this morning
    at the DeGraff Memorial hospital after
    a brief illness with pneumonia.
    Border was stricken with the disease
    on Monday and was removed to the
    hospital yesterday. He was employed
    as a boilermaker by the American
    Boiler Works on East Niagara street.
    Surviving are a wife, four sons.
    George, Arthur. Joseph and Edmund
    Border, and three duaghters, Florence,
    Maud and Blanche Border, all of
    North Tonawanda. The funeral will
    be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock
    from Ascension church. Rev. J. F.
    Kelly will conduct the service and burial
    will be at Mt. Olivet.

    Lulu A. Border, 64. died suddenly
    yesterday at'her home. 311 Bryant
    street. Bom in Ogdensburg. N. Y„
    she had resided in North Tonawanda
    the last 35 years. She leaves
    a daughter. Mrs. Donough G. Love-
    grove, of Tonawanda; three sons,
    George, of Tonawanda, and Edmund
    and Joseph, of North-Tonawanda;
    five granchlldren: a sister,
    Mrs. Frank Delaney, of Alexandria
    Bay. and three brothers, George
    Thompson, of North Tonawanda.
    Herbert Thompson, of Syracuse, and
    Alvln Thompson, of Syracuse.
    Rites will be held Monday mottling
    at 8:30 from the home of her
    son, Edmund, 72 Second avenue,
    and half an hour later In the Attention
    church. The Rev. Daniel Molloy
    will officiate and burial will be
    In Mt, Olivet cemetery.
