Ronald Leo Lauzau, 92, of Haw River passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
A native of Niagara Falls, NY, he was the husband of Maria Kubik Lauzau, who survives and the son of Wilbur Lauzau and Winifred May Burridge Lauzau, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Goodyear with 26 years of service as Chief Chemist and went on to work at Lawrence Industries with 20 years of service He was also a licensed real estate agent for several years. Ronald loved working with his hands by helping people with building projects and enjoyed working in his yard especially with his flowers. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Ronald was friendly to all and never met a stranger.
In addition to his wife, survivors include seven children, Frank (Cheryl) Lauzau of Eden, Sharon (Mike) Lauzau Williford of Fayetteville, Annette (Joseph) Lauzau Wrenn of Haw River, Steven (Darlene) Lauzau of Mebane, Thomas (Tina) Lauzau of Gibsonville, Alice Tapper Scott of McDonough, GA, and Miriam Tapper of Liberty; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and five siblings, John (Joan) Lauzau of Edgewood, MA, Wilbur (Bill) Lauzau of Pickerington, OH, Joan Lauzau McCarthy of Wheeling, IL, Nancy (Herb) Lauzau Nelson of Nigara Falls, NY, and Mary Lauzau Vescio of Niagara Falls, NY. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Olga Lauzau and a sister, Dorothy Lauzau Ackerson.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 12:00 noon with the family receiving friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon prior to the service. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park.
