    George R. Bootes passed away November 30, 2023 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born October 19, 1957 in Lockport he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Wolters) Bootes, Sr.  George worked for the Lockport Housing Authority in the Maintenance Department.  He enjoyed NASCAR, football, and driving his golf cart all over Lockport.
    George is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lorrey (Birdsall) Bootes; children Jennifer (Jim) Braddell, Eric (Amanda) Bootes, Daniel (Sara) Bootes and Brandon Bootes; grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Hunter, Sophie, Olivia, Lincoln, Giana, Harper, Aidan, Maddie, and Scarlett; siblings Deborah Bootes, Kathleen (Charles) Gabrielli, Tammy Weir, Jacqueline (Malcolm) Robertson, and late Charles Jr. and Kevin Bootes; also mother-in-law Joanne Birdsall, several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and several dear friends at the Lockport Housing Authority.

    Obituary of Helen Bootes

    Helen M. Bootes passed away March 18th 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport.  Born on January 8th 1936 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Redner Wolters. Helen was a Bus driver for Ridge Road Express for many years. She was a member of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary F.O.E. #825, The Alter and Rosary Society at All Saints Parish, Ladies of Charity, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and The Dale Association. Helen enjoyed Bowling, Bingo and spending time with her family.  Helen is predeceased by her husband Charles J. Bootes Sr. who passed away May 18th 1996.
    Helen was the mother of Charles J. Bootes Jr., George (Lorrey) Bootes, Deborah Bootes, Kathleen (Charles), Gabrielli, Tammy (Tom Costello) Weir, Jacqueline Bootes and the late Kevin and Anna Florence. She was the Grandmother of 15, Great Grandmother of 26 and the Great Great Grandmother of 2. Also survived by several nieces and Nephews. Besides her husband Helen was predeceased by her son in law James Wier, and her siblings Donald Wolters, Carl Wolters, Edward Wolters, John Wolters and Mary Lort.
    Relatives and Friends may call Tuesday March 20th  from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 21st at 11AM at All Saints Roman Catholic Parish, 76 Church St. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to the Church would be appreciated.

    Wolters, 57, of 509' Prospect
    St., wife of Edward H. Wolters,
    died Sunday (March 18,
    1962 at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital after a lengthy, illness.
    She was born here Sept. 14,
    1904, daughter of John and
    Ella Finely Redner. She was
    a member of the Women's
    Republican Club North Park
    School PTA and St, Patrick's
    Church.
    Her husband is a former Republican
    committeeman from
    the 6th Ward and unsuccessful
    candidate for several public
    offices in recent years.
    In addition to her husband,
    surviving are four sons, Edward
    Wolters Jr., Kansas City,
    Mo., J. Robert, Donald C. and
    Carl M. Wolters; two duaghters,
    Mrs. Charles Boots and
    Miss Mary L. Wolters, all of
    Lockport; a sister, Mrs. Mark
    Singer, Gasport; and 10 grandchildren
    A Requiem Mass will be
    c.elebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday
    at St. Patrick's Church
    after prayers at 8:30 a.m. at
    the Kennedy Funeral Home.
    Burial will be in St. Patrick's
    Cemetery
