    Notes:

    Harlan J. Park, 88, of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away December 4, 2023. Born in Bowling Green, Ohio, he was the son of the late Marcus L. and Phyllis (Yoder) Park and the dear husband of Louise I. (Feltner) Park, whom he married on March 13, 1958 in Lima, Ohio. Harlan’s family relocated to Maryland when he was a boy, where he enjoyed trapping muskrats, crabbing, and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. He graduated from high school in Park Hall, Maryland before moving back to Ohio. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1963. After moving to Niagara Falls in 1960, he worked for the Sheetmetal Workers Local 69 Niagara Falls and Local 71 Buffalo until his retirement in 1992. Harlan and his family relocated to Maryland before returning to Niagara Falls in 2021. Harlan enjoyed staying active and played softball throughout his life. He participated in the Maryland Senior Olympics Track & Field in the 1990s and again in 2009. He played in Ping Pong Leagues for a time, and was very proud of the many Corvettes he owned through the years. In addition to his wife, Harlan is survived by his daughter, Christina A. Corsaro (Tony Marrero), grandchildren Robert J. Corsaro, Jr. (Allison Newton), Amber M. (Adam) Walck, and Alisha (Nicole) Mulholland, and great grandchildren Robert J. Corsaro III, Abigail Corsaro, Maria Corsaro, and Brody Walck. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Emmet (late Nancy) Park and Stephen “Stanley” Park. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Wheatfield Cemetery. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by M.J.     NIAGARA FALLS — Howard Edward Phillip Walck, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the age of 94, in Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on December 30,1917, the son of the late Felix and Agatha (Retzlaff) Walck.

    Howard attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and church where he served as a Trustee. He graduated from Cornell Agricultural School. Howard was the co-owner and operator of the former Walck's Dairy from 1935 until 1971. He then worked with the Niagara County Highway Department until his retirement. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida, where he was a member and elder of the Christ Lutheran Church and his summers at his cottage in Canada. Howard enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards with his dear friends.

    He was the husband of the late Lillian (Retzlaff) Walck, they were married in June of 1939, she predeceased him on April 26, 1978. Howard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Hough) Walck. They where married on May 17, 1979. Three sons, Howard (Shirley), Douglas (Susan), Dennis (Judy) Walck; eight grandchildren, Brent (Andrea), Bruce (Jennifer) Walck, Jennifer (Curt) Muma, Craig (Jessica), Ashleigh and Phillip Walck, Kari (Rob) Corsaro, Adam (Amber) Walck; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alyssa and Robbie; one sister, Jennis (late Harold) Pankow; three step-sons, Gordon (Linda), Steven (Gabrielle) and Peter (Lori) Hough; four-step grandchildren, Andrew (Lee) Hough, Michelle (Jayson) Millson, Kyle and Benn Hough; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Abigail and Isabelle Hough; also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Bruce Walck.

    Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday at 1:30 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating.     SANBORN - Lillian M. Walck, 61, of 2251 Lockport Road died Wednesday (April 26, 1978) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
    She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn and had been an active member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    She and her husband, Howard E. Walck, were the former operators of Walck's Farm Diary in Niagara Falls.
    In addition to her husband survivors include three sons, Howard C. Walck and Douglas Walck, both of Niagara Falls, and Dennis Walck of Sanborn, one sister, Mrs. Irwin (Ruth) Walck of Sanborn and four grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at SI. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Horne, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the family said.

    talned at a variety shower in honor

    Walck, whose marriage takes place
    Sunday, June 4. Games were
    played during the evening and
    prizes awarded to Martha Haseley,
    Jennies Walck. Mrs. Marcus Haseley
    and Irma Haseley. At 11 o'clock a
    delicious lunch was served. The
    guests of honor received many use-
    ful gifts.

    The marriage of Miss Lillian Martha

    Retzloff, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. Rudolph Retzloff, of Sanborn, to
    Howard Edward Walck, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Felix Walck, of this city,
    was solemnized last Sunday afternoon
    at St. Peter's Lutheran church,
    Walmore. The Rev. Edward Grabau
    officiated at the double ring ceremony.
    The church was beautifully decorated
    with ferns and cut flowers.
    The bride entered on the arm of her
    father to the strains of the wedding
    march from Lohengrin. She wore
    a gown of white slipper satin cut
    on princess lines. Her veil was of
    tulle.trimmed with lace falling from
    a crown of seeded orange blossoms.
    She carried an arm bouquet of
    sweetheart roses, baby's breath and
    delphinium, from which fell white
    satin ribons tied with lilies-of-the
    valley.
    Mrs. Irwin Walck, of Sanborn, sis-
    ter of the bride, was matron of hon-

    lace with a Jacket trimmed with
    tulle and pink satin bows. Her bouquet
    was of pink roses, delphinium
    and baby's breath, tied with a large
    blue satin bow.
    The maid of honor, Miss Jennies
    Walck, sister of the groom, wore
    a gown of pale pink Swiss silk organdie
    with white figures. It had a
    jacket trimmed with tulle and blue
    satin bows She carried an arm bouquet
    similar to that of the maid of
    honor, with a pink satin bow to
    match her gown.
    Miss Janis Jagow, cousin of the
    bride, was bridesmaid, she wore a
    gown of canary yellow similar to
    that of the matron of honor. Her
    bouquet was tied with a yellow
    satin bow.
    Irvin Walck was best man. Melvin
    Walck and Edward Jagow, Jr., also
    were Arthur DuBois and William
    Schul.
    The bride's mother wore a black
    silk georgette dress with white fig-
    ures and a corsage of pink roses
    and sweer peas. The groom's moth-
    er wore a dress of blue figures silk
    georgette. She also wore a corsage
    of pink roses and sweetpeas. The
    groom's grandmother was gowned
    in a dress of white and black flow-
    ered crepe.
    After the wedding a reception and
    dinner was held at the bride's home.
    The table was centered with a five-
    tier wedding cake. Out-of-town
    guests included several from Cleve-
    land and Buffalo.
    Mr. and Mrs. Walck left on an
    extended wedding trip to the New
    Work World's Fair.
    Pre-nuptial affairs included a va-
    riety shower given by Mr. and Mrs.
    Irwin Walck; a variety shower given
    by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DuBois and
    a variety shower given by Miss Jen-
    nies Walck.

    BERGHOLZ - Alfred E. "Ollie" Milleville, 71, of Washington Street, died Thursday (Nov, 28, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a seven month illness,
    He was born Nov, 29, 1924, in Wheatfield, the son of Hugo and Beata (Mueller) Milleville, He attended St. James Lutheran School, Niagara Falls High School and the former Trott Vocational High School.
    Mr, Milleville served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 as a private first class in Company M. 35th Division, 137th Infantry Regiment. He served in Germany.
    He worked as a head mechanic at the Niagara-Wheatfield School District bus garage for 20 years. He retired at the age of 55 and purchased the Meeting Place on Niagara Road. He ran that business for eight years in the 1980s. He also owned and operated the A + H Boulevard Garage across from Bell Aerospace with his brother-in-law, Harold Proefrock.
    Mr. Milleville was a charter member American Legion Wheatfield Post 1465, VFW Post 9011 and the Wheatfield Businessmen. He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co. and attended St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and helping out at the church and at the legion post.
    He is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Joanne C. Strasburg; two sons, Steven M. Milleville of North Tonawanda and Douglas J. Milleville of Bergholz; two daughters, Judith A. Walck and Pamela J. Kowalik, both of Wheatfield; three brothers, Erwin J. Milleville of Niagara Falls, Richard E. Milleville of Bergholz and Donald J. Milleville of the Town of Niagara; five sisters, Florence E. Mielke, Alice R. Lange and Winifred L. Proefrock, all of Wheatfield, G. Beatrice Nehrbos of Newstead and Janice N. Kysor of Lewiston; and three grandchildren. . Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, where memorial services will be conducted by the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1465 at 2 p.m. Sunday and by the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co. at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. David B. Menz will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.     Alfred E. "Ollie" Milleville, 71, of Washington Street, retired head mechanic at the Niagara-Wheatfield School bus garage and former owner of the Meeting Place restaurant, died Thursday (Nov. 28, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after an illness of seven months.
    The Wheatfield native attended St. James Lutheran School, Niagara Falls High School and the former Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls.
    Milleville served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946, and was stationed in Germany with the 137th Infantry Regiment.
    He was a charter member of Wheatfield Post 1465, American Legion, and a member of Post 9011, Veterans of Foreign Wars; St. James Lutheran Church; and the Wheatfield Businessmen's Association. He also was an exempt member of Bergholz Fire Company.
    Milleville worked at the Niagara-Wheatfield School bus garage for 20 years until he retired as head mechanic when he was 55.
    He and his wife then purchased the Meeting Place on Niagara Road.
    The couple operated the restaurant for eight years during the 1980s.
    Milleville and his brother-in-law, Harold Proefrock, had owned and operated A&H Boulevard Garage, across Niagara Falls Boulevard from the former Bell Aerospace plant. Milleville also worked as a mechanic at Empire Builders of Niagara Falls before working at Niagara-Wheatfield.
    Milleville enjoyed golfing, spending time with his
    grandchildren and doing volunteer work at his church and at the American Legion hall.
    Survivors include his wife of 38 years, the former Joanne C. Strasburg; two sons, Steven M. of North Tonawanda and Douglas J.; two daughters, Judith A. Walck and Pamela J. Kowalik, both of Wheatfield; three brothers, Erwin J. of Niagara Falls, Donald J. of the Town of Niagara, and Richard E.; five sisters, Florence E. Mielke, Winifred L. Proefrock and Alice R. Lange, all of Wheatfield, G. Beatrice Nehrboss of Newstead and Janice N. Kysor of Lewiston; and three grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

MILLEVILLE, age 85, the former co-owner and co-operator of The Meeting Place restaurant in the 1980's, was called to her heavenly home on October 14, 2020, following a lengthy illness in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.The former Joanne Strasburg was born on January 30, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Albert and Clara (Schultz) Strasburg. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former LaSalle High School. She was a former member of Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451. It was because of her involvement with the legion, that she met her husband, Alfred "Ollie" Milleville. He died on Thanksgiving Day in 1996. Joanne was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz.Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Dennis) Walck of Grand Island and Pam (Tim) Kowalik of the Town of Niagara; two sons, Steve (Alice) of Grand Island and Doug of Lewiston; a brother, Albert "Babe" Strasburg of Florida; five grandchildren, Kari Corsaro, Adam Walck, Kim Milleville, and Dustin and Kourtney Kowalik; and three great-grandchildren, Robert Corsaro III, Abigail Corsaro and Brody Walck. Predeceased by six brothers, Charles, William, Robert, Donald, Richard and Jack.Visitation and Services, with the Rev. Dan Tabor, officiating, will be private, due to Covid restrictions. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home.

    MISS KATHY STRASBURG, niece of the bride, was
    a miniature bride. She wore a frock of white chiffon with a
    shirred bodice and fully gathered skirt. Her crown of
    orange blossoms caught a circular veil, and she carried a
    white prayer book adorned with white roses.
    The two flower girls were Miss Susan Strasburg and
    Miss Linda Milleville. They were gowned like the miniature
    bride, but in blue, and their prayer books were topped by
    blue iris and pink roses.

    DONALD MILLEVILLE acted as best man for his
    brother. The ushers were Richard Milleville, and William,
    Albert and Richard Strasburg. The junior ushers were Billy
    Strasburg and Larry Milleville.
    After a wedding trip to Washington, D. C, the couple
    will make their home in Schultz Rd., Bergholtz.
