A pretty wedding was solemnized Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. in
Ascension Church when Miss Loretta J. Soos, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Soos of 160 Wheatfield St., became the
bride of Airman Gary P. Meisenburg. Poinsettias adorned
the altar for the wedding.
The Rev. Francis Hunt officiated and >Miss Catherine

The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, work a gown
of rose point lace with a scallopededge
jacket and hemline. Her fingertip
veil of illusion was caught le
a tiara of orange blossoms and she
carried Starlight roses and stephanotis
in her bridal bouquet
Miss Maureen Cox, maid of honor
was attired in a Cardinal red
velvet gown with offtfae-shoulder
neckline, bertha collar and bouffant
skirl. A crown of matching
velvet completed her ensemble and
she carried a colonial bouquet of
white roses and pompons. The
bridesmaid Miss Frances Nagy
.wore a similar costume of Hunter
green velvet and carried a bouquet
of garnet roses and white
pompons.
The flower girl, Patricia Meisen-
burg, a cousin of the bridegroom,
wore a frock of Hunter green vel-
vet and carried Garnet roses and
white pompons. Gregory Meisen-
burg, the bridegroom's brother
was the ring bearer.
A coffee color lace dress over
apricot taffeta was worn by the
bride's mother who selected brown
accessories and a corsage of iris.
The bridegroom's mother, Mrs.
Rodney Albon, chose a light blue
chiffon dress with accessories in
a darker shade of blue. Her cor-
sage was of pink carnations.
A wedding dinner in the Isle
View was followed by a reception,
in VFW Hall where 200 friends and
relatives of the couple were guests,
After the honeymoon, Mrs. Mei
senburg is living at home with her
parents. Airman Meisenburg has
returned to the US Naval Air Station,
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His,
bride will join him there in the
near future.
Showers for the bride were given
by the Misses Frances Nagy and.
Maureen Cox, Barbara Norris,
Mrs. Gustave Toth, Mrs. Joseph
Kovach and Miss Patricia Soos.

Margit Pirk, age 93, of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023. She was the owner and operator of Joe's Budapest Cafe, in North Tonawanda, and continued operating the cafe herself after her late husband, Jozsef Pirk, passed away. She is survived by her children Georgina Meisenburg and Joseph A. (Deborah) Pirk. Grandmother of Jason (Michelle), Jerred, Jacob Meisenburg, and Paul and Elisabeth Pirk. Great-grandmother of Jordan and Olivia Meisenburg. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Private services will be held by her family. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers please make memorial donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr, Lockport, NY 14094.
