    Dorothy C. Foels (nee Zitzka), age 99, on February 6th, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Wendell and Barbara (nee Baumgartner) Zitzka. Loving wife of the late Leonerd J. Foel (who died in 1986). Mother of Len (Gwenn) Foels and Fredric Foels. Grandmother of Nicholas and Eric Foels. Dorothy was the last of seven siblings; Theresa (Joseph) Mayer, Barbara (James) Butler, Ann (Harold) Gromlovits, Wendell (Theresa) Zitzka, George (Minnie) Zitzka, and Donald Zitzka. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Jamie (Richard) Domis and MaryBeth (Lew) McCaw. She shared a special bond with cousin, the late Rose Bronschidle. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the City of Tonawanda and a lifelong member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, as well as the City of Tonawanda Senior Center. Friends may call at Fretthold and Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam Street, corner of Seymour Street, on Friday, February 9th, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, Saturday, at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 150 Broad Street, City of Tonawanda.Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Saint Francis of Assisi Outreach, 73 Adam Street, Tonawanda, NY 14150. Condolences may be made online at FrettholdAndHamp.com

    He is survived by three sons,
    Wendel Jr., George and Donald;
    four daughters. Mrs. Joseph Mayer,
    Mrs. James Butler, Mrs. Harold
    Gromlovits and Mrs. Leonard
    Foels, all of this city.
    Prayers will be said at 8:45 Monday
    morning in the Hamp Funeral
    Home, followed by a Requiem
    Mass at 9:15 in St. Francis' church.
    Interment will be in Mt. Olivet
    cemetery

    d i e d Thursday morning,
    Dec. 31, 1953 in DeGraff Memorial
    Hospital after a prolonged
    illness. Mrs. Zitzka was born in
    Austria, Hungary and had resided
    in Tonawanda for the past 43
    years. Mrs. Zitzka was a member
    of St. Francis Church and the Rosary
    Society of the church. Survived
    by her husband, Wendell;
    four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Mayer,
    Mrs. James Butler, Mrs. Harold
    Gromlovits and Mrs. Leonard
    Foels; three sons, Wendell Jr.,
    George and Donald; 13 grandchildren;
    a brother, Anton Baumgartner;
    and three sisters, Mrs. Fred
    Keller, Mrs. Martin Zipp, all ' of
    the Tonawandas, and Mrs. Michael
    Peterman of Whittier, Calif.
    Friends may call at the Hamp
    Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., Tonawanda,
    after noon on Friday,
    were services will be Monday at
    830 a.m. and at 9 a.m. in St.
    Francis Church. The Rev.„ John
    A. Weismantel will officiate.
    Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
