Ronald E. Mort, 85, of Youngstown, N.Y., passed March 5, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Ron was the beloved husband of Paula (Gregorski), whom he married in 1974. He is also survived by a son, Brendan (Joe Easterly); a sister, Margaret Mort Polino; sister-in-law Cyndi (James) McDonald; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his son, Kenneth; siblings, Irene Jacob, and Edward Mort. Ron was an outstanding athlete in his youth. After high school, his creative side emerged and he was the proverbial self-taught man in all he pursued – sign maker, laborer, and newspaper publisher/ editor of the Niagara Observer. In 1981, he and Paula worked together at their business, Printing Productions for over 40 years. Most of all, he enjoyed time at home – his sanctuary on the lower Niagara River. There will be no prior visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094. Florence E. Gregorski, 95, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her Youngstown, NY home with her loving family by her side. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 26, 1928 she was the daughter of John and Violet (Lipniarski) Kokoszka. Florence graduated from North Tonawanda High School and married Edwin A. Gregorski on June 26, 1948.


After living in North Tonawanda for 15 years, they relocated to Mobile, AL where Florence became a successful sales associate at Dillard's for 30 years. She had a following of loyal clientele and received the highest award as a Pacesetter.


After Edwin passed in 2004, Florence retired and moved back to Youngstown to be near her family. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church; an avid Yankee fan and she delighted in sending greeting cards for all occasions to her family and friends. She was a loving, kind and generous lady.


Florence is survived by her children, Gregory; Paula (Ronald) Mort; Cynthia (James) McDonald; grandchildren, Brendan (Joseph Easterly) Mort; John Andrews; and Tiller and Kathryn McDonald. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Richard Gregorski (Patricia) of Hockessin, DE and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.


There is NO PRIOR visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 25th at St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY with Rev. Cole Webster officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will take place at the convenience of the family.
