AUGUST GANDT, FORMER CITY RESIDENT, DIES AT FALLS
August Gandt, 54 years old, of No. 473 Twenty-sixth street, Niagara Falls, a former resident of North Tonawanda, died Saturday in the Emergency hospital in the Cataract City. He was a member of the St. Johnsburg Benevolent association and the Gratwick Benevolent association. Surviving are a wife and three children, all of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Charles Gandt of Niagara Falls and Albert Gandt of North Tonawanda, and a sister; Mrs. Charles Hilderbrandt of Martinsville. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon' at 2 o'clock from the Cornell and Dagget chapel, No. 1517 Main street, Niagara Falls. Burial will be In the Oakwood cemetery, Niagara Falls

Mrs. Amanda Kohler

Mrs. Amanda Kohler, 72, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Wilson, 301 Division street. She was born in Germany and had resided in Tonawanda the past 65 years. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed church on Oliver street. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Walter Krause of Milwaukee, Wis., four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Herman Schroeder and Mrs. William Ellman, and a brother, Otto Rubbert of North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. from the Hamp Funeral Home 37 Adam street. The Rev. J. J. Braun will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn.

Mrs. Fredericka Rubbert

Mrs. Fredericka Rubbert, 85 years old, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Ellman, 174 Stenzil street. Born in Germany, Mrs. Rubbert had resided in North Tonawanda for the past 47 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ellman, Mrs. William Kohler and Mrs. Herman Schroeder; a son, Otto, all of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Ellman residence and half an hour later at the St. Peter's church on Oliver street. Rev. Theodore Manzel will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. Mark's cemetery.
