    Of Wheatfield, passed away on  Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Elderwood at Grand Island. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 25, 1941, a son of the late LeGrand A. and Margaret [Western] Licht, Sr.
    Mr. Licht was a machine repairman with Columbus McKinnon and later with the General Motors Tonawanda Powertrain, for over 25 years before retiring in 2006.
    He was a race car enthusiast, racing cars at Ransomville and later becoming a member of a pit crew.
    Mr. Licht enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and his cabin and was an avid Bills and Sabres fan.
    He is survived by his wife of 62 years Donna  [Rankin] Licht, his children Melanie Ziemendorf, James, Raymond, Judith Lafler, Lee (Susan) and David, four grandchildren Lindsay, Austin, Tayla and Terrance, two great grandchildren Hollis and Hayden, his siblings Douglas (Peggy), Keith (Terri) and Timothy Licht, Jacalyn (Chuck) Staub,  Randy (Janice), Jamie ( late Maddy) and Darcy Licht.
    Mr. Licht was the grandfather of the late Bryn and Nicholas Ziemendorf and brother of the late James Licht.
    His family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Meghan James officiating.

    First Baptist Church.
    The Rev. Leo Griffin performed
    the ceremony before an altar
    graced with baskets of chrysanthemums
    and palms.
    The bride wore a white organza
    over taffeta gown trimmed in appliques
    of French lace and seed
    pearls. A jeweled crown held her
    fingertip veil and she carried a
    bouquet of white gladioli petals,
    rosebuds and lily of the valley.
    Mrs. Robert Titterington was
    matron of honor. Mrs. Ronald
    Popp and Miss Susan LaPorte
    were bridesmaids, Miss Carol Ann
    Rankin, junior bridesmaid, andi
    Jacquelin Licht, the flower girl.
    They wore blue organza over taffeta
    dresses and carried arrangements
    of peach color roses and
    gladioli petals.
    Robert Titterington was best,
    man. Ronald Popp and Douglas
    Licht - were ushers and Randy
    Licht, ringbearer.
    The bride's mother wore
    brown chiffon dress with beige
    and brown accessories. The bride-
    groom's mother chose a pink
    Chantilly lace dress and white accessories.
    Both wore corsages to
    harmonize with their attire.
    Blue and white streamers and
    wedding bells decorated the Ma-
    sonic Temple in Sweet Home Rd.
    for a buffet supper which followed
    the ceremony.
    The couple traveled to the Adir-
    ondack Mountains on a wedding
    trip. They will be at home after
    Sept. 10 in 314 Linwood Ave.,
    North Tonawanda.

    TONAWANDA Albert A. Licht, 85, of 290 Franklin St., a retired public works department employee, died Wednesday (April 20, 1960) in Buffalo after several years illness. Born in Germany, he had lived in this city for the last 80 years. His wife, Margaret Acker Licht, died in 1932. He was predeceased by brothers Herman Charles Licht, Otto Adolph Licht, and Franklin A. C. Licht, and by sister Augusta Trost. Survivors include 10 sons, Arnold Licht, Eagle Harbor, N. Y.; Elmer, Walter and Floyd Licht, this city, Leroy Licht, Algonquin, Ont., Henry Licht, Riviera, Tex., John, Ralph and LeGrand Licht, North Tonawanda, and Norman Licht, Kenmore. The Rev. LaVerne S. Poole will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m., Friday in the John O. Roth Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

She was a life-long resident of Tonawanda, a member Of the Broad Street Baptist church and the Ladies' Aid Society. Surviving are a husband, Albert; ten sons, Arnold, Eagle Harbor, N. Y.; LeRoy, Algonquin Park, Ont., Elmer, Walter, Henry, John, Floyd, Ralph, LeGrand and Norman, Tonawanda, and 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence. Rev. Harold Clark of the Broad Street Baptist church, assisted by Rev. Robert A.
