    Joanne L. (nee Hill) Pietricone, 78, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Brantford, Ontario Canada on July 1, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Gladys (Thomas) Hill.


    Joanne worked for the City of Niagara Falls, as an account clerk for many years, until her retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed shooting pool, playing softball, hunting, fishing, and going to Lily Dale. Joanne was also an avid reader, traveling via reading books.


    She is survived by her children, Sue Joyce, Jenn Joyce, Michael Ralph (Dawn) Joyce and Jay Fair; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and her 1st husband, Claude "Butch" Joyce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Peter Pietricone, and sixteen brothers and sisters.


    Friends may call Sunday, June 2nd from 2-4 PM at Niagara Falls First United Methodist Church, 8210 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Matthew Kofahl officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience the family. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
