(Town of Cambria) - Shirley A. Zastrow, age 78, of Lower Mt. Rd., died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at her residence, under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice.Mrs. Zastrow was born June 12, 1930 in the Town of Newfane, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Miller) Wilkins. On May 20, 1950, she married Willard F. Zastrow. Willard predeceased her on October 6, 2007. Shirley worked in the house-keeping department at the Intercommunity Memorial Hospital in Newfane for 10 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at North Ridge and a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co. Shirley enjoyed hunting with her husband and going to the flea markets.She is survived by her children, Douglas W. Zastrow, Donald F. Zastrow, Darlene A. Zastrow and Duane W. Zastrow, all of the Town of Cambria; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Sattelberg and two brothers, Earl and Carl Wilkins.Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10th at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. R. Peter Vogeler officiating. Burial will be private in the Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton.
