Mary L. Clute, 75, of Grand Island, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on April 27, 2023.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Dorothy (Cole) Collins.
Mary was a graduate from Niagara Falls High School.  On June 30, 1979, she married Richard G. Clute, NFPD Det. Lt., in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Clute predeceased her on February 16, 1995.  Mary was employed by Verizon for over 20 years until her retirement in 1993.  She later worked for Niagara University and Niagara Hospice.  Mary enjoyed reading and loved taking her Golden Retriever Maddie for walks.  Above all, Mary’s life centered around her family and grandchildren, and she cherished the time spent with them and attending their sporting events.  She will be remembered most for her selflessness, kindness, and thoughtful and giving nature.
Mary is survived by her children, Scott (Shayna) Clute and Shannon (Michael) Scott; her grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Walker Clute, Kaitlyn Scott, and Baylor Clute; her sisters, Maureen ‘Micky’ (Karl) Schwenkbeck and Marge Collins, as well as by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia (late Charlie) Cascio.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.   Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Parish, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate/.  Arrangements by M.J. Elnathan Cole, of 643 Elm wood avenue,
foreman of the bleaching department
of the Hooker Electrochemical
company's plant, died in Memorial
hospital at 6:55 o'clock this morning,
following a week's illness with pneumonia. He was 47 years old.
Born in West Polnt, Pa., Mr. Cole
had lived in Niagara Falls for the past
27 years. He was widely known and
had a large number of friends, among
whom he was held in high esteem.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Edna
Cole; two sons, Stanford and Jack, of
this city; a daughter Dorothy, of this
city; his father. Henry Cole, of West
Point, and three brothers, Harold of
Tulleytown, Pa., and Alvin and Au-
gustus, of West Point.
Funeral services will be held at ..he
family home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon,
with the Rev, Arthur H.
Schmoyer, pastor of the Zion Evangelical
Lutheran church, officiating.
