    Leroy R. Belisle, 69, of 1934 E. Pine St., died unexpectedly at 1:15 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital where he had been taken by the emergency unit of the Kankakee ire department
    Mr. Belisle was a lifetime resident of Kankakee County. He was born Jan 16, 1937 (sic) in St. George, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Felix Belisle. He was a former employee of Uptown Sales and Turner Imports.
    He was a member of the Machinsts Union of Kankakee, the Moose Lodge, the Knights of Columbus and St. Teresa;s Holy Name Society.
    He was married in Kankakee to the former Magdalene Regnier on Jan. 16, 1937.
    He is survived by the widow; daughters, Mrs. Richard A. McClain and Miss Carolyn Belisle, and a son, Brian, all of Kankakee sisters, Mrs. Eugene Benoit, Mrs. Girard Rivard and Mrs. E. G. LaMontagne, all of Bourbonnals; a brother, Leonard of Kankakee, and three grandchildren.
    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa's Church with the Rev. John Skrodenis officiating. Burial will be in a local cemetery.
    Visiting hours are at Senesac Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday and until the funeral Saturday.
    The rosary will be recited for Mr. Belisle at 7:45 p.m. Friday by the Holy Name Society and at 8 p.m. Thursday by the Knights of Columbus.

    Magdalene M. ''Maggie'' Belisle, 88, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1999) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.

    Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee.

    She was born Sept. 19, 1910 in Beaverville, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Zella M. Fortin Regnier.

    Her husband, Leroy A. Belisle, whom she married Jan. 16, 1937 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, died April 16, 1969.

    Mrs. Belisle was a registered nurse, working as a private duty nurse and at both St. Mary's Hospital and Riverside Medical Center. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Beaverville and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Kankakee.

    She was a member of the CCW at both St. Teresa and Maternity BVM, where she was a past president.

    Mrs. Belisle was a member of the Bourbonnals Grove Historical Society; Women of the Moose; St. Mary's Nurses Alumni Association; a past president and vice president of the Illinois Nurses Association; and past president of the Catholic Council of Nurses.

    Surviving are one son, Brian L. Belisle of Momence; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Richard McClain of Bourbonnals and Carolyn and Wayne Walker of Kankakee; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marguerite Walsh of Sun City Center, Fla., and Norma Jean and Robert Guimond of Bourbonnals; four sisters-in-law, Esther Regnier of Kankakee, Rita Regnier of Indianapolis, Ind., Jeanne Regnier of Lady Lake, Fla., and Celeste Regnier of Bourbonnais; five grandchildren, Wanda and Bruce Gifford of Bourbonnais, Richard McClain Jr. of Ariz., Michael and Marien McClain of Calif., Jason Walker of Fla., Jeanna and David Roesch of Bloomington; three great-grandchildren, Christopher McClain and B.J. and Lauren Gifford.

    She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Amos, Romain, Roger and Richard Regnier.

    Mrs. Anna Mathews Dies Friday Morn

    Mrs. Anna (Lebow) Mathew, 78, widow of the late Alfred Mathew, and a resident of Remington, died Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital, in Lafayette where she had been a patient since Dec. 5. Born in St. George, Ill., on July 6, 1860, she was married to Mr. Mathew 62 years ago. or many years they lived on a farm south o Wolcott, and after Mr. Mathew's death, she went to Remington live. She was a member of the Sacred Hert Catholic church at Remington. She leaves 11 children, Levi, Alfred, Williaf, Oscar, Arthur, Amos, Clarence and Herman, all of Wolcott; Meddie, of Chicago; Mrs. Mina Belisle, of St. George, Ill., and Mrs. Cordelia Guimond, Menteno, Ill.
    Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church, Remington. Burial in the Catholic cemetery at Remington.
