NORTH TONAWANDA Robert F. Zastrow, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest, Friday, February 4, 2011, at the age of 73, at Millard Fillmore Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Pendleton, NY, Mr. Zastrow resided in North Tonawanda for the past sixty-five years and was a retired employee of Smurfit-Stone (Shawnee Rd.), where he was employed as the company controller. He enjoyed singing as a soloist at many local weddings.
Beloved sweetheart of 51 years to Elizabeth "Libby" (nee Mis) Zastrow; dearest father of Christopher (Lynette) Zastrow of Sanborn, NY, Michele Brannan of North Tonawanda, Diana (James) Link of Amherst, NY, Deirdre (Todd) Devonshire of North Tonawanda, Jennifer (Michael III) Colucci of California and Eric (Kimberly) Zastrow of North Tonawanda; proud and loving grandfather of Nicholas (Tristin), Jared, Carly (Rick), Michael IV, Samantha, Robert, Elizabeth, Kyle, Ashley, Tyler, Victoria, Rebecca, Mary, Sydney, Madeline and Ava; dear brother of Barbara Philbrick of North Tonawanda, Debra (Robert) Rocke of Florida and the late Donald Zastrow and Gerald Zastrow; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated on FRIDAY, February 11th at 9:30 AM. Mrs. Barbara Meisenburg
Mrs. Barbara Meisenburg, 53, died this morning after a prolonged illness at the family home, Lockport avenue, Town of Pendleton. She was born in Austria and had lived in this country about 25 years. She is survived by her husband, John, two daughters, Geraldine, at home, and Mrs. Elmer Zastrow of North Tonawanda; three sons, Peter, at home; Sgt. Adam of San Fernando, Cal., and Seaman, 1st Class Franklin Meisenburg of Tillamook, Ore. Also by five grandchildren, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Adam Meisenburg of Tonawanda and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Snitzer of Schoendorf, Austria. Funeral will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the home and at 9 from the church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Anthony Nichter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Children:
