"An extremely sad death occurred in Hanover on Sunday last, Feb 22, 1920 when
Mr. Henry Kolpin passed into the Great Beyond while still in the prime of live,
aged 44 years, 9 months and 21 days after about two weeks illness. Death was
due to heart and kidney trouble. Deceased was born in Carrick township near
Walkerton on May 9, 1875 being the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Chris Kolpin.
About 16 years ago he married Miss Lydia Schaus of Normanby and soon after the
young couple moved to Clifford where they resided until early in Jan. of this
yr. when they moved to Hanover where deceased was employed as a section man on
the Grand Trunk. The late Mr. Kolpin was a man of splended character and was a
kind and affectionate husband and father. He leaves to mourn his loss a
sorrowing wife and five children: Edgar, Melinda, Luella, Florence and
Clarence. Three children predeceased their father. He also leaves one sister
and three brothers: Mrs. August Kleist of Laird, SK., Chris of Walkerton;
Fred of Clifford; and Charles of Saskatoon. The funeral took place at the
Hanover cemetery with a memorial service in St. Mathew's Lutheran Church.
