    Irene C. Steinbrenner, formerly of Tonawanda, Erie County, NY, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. She was born in Campbelton, New Brunswick on July 2, 1913, the daughter of the late George and Sarah H. (Keenan) Olscamp. Mrs. Steinbrenner moved to Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, in 1940. She was employed at Bell Aircraft during World War II and with Moore Business Forms for over 25 years, before retiring in 1975.She was a member of St. Edmund Catholic Church and the Guys and Dolls Senior Citizens Group in Tonawanda. Mrs. Steinbrenner was the wife of the late Fred H. Steinbrenner, who died in 1985. She is survived by two brothers, George (Rita) Olscamp of Prince Edward Island and John (Julie) Olscamp of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; one sister, Lois McCabe of Lockport, Niagara County, NY; also by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Harry, James, Randolph, Georgine Olscamp, Dora Roundtree, Stella Curry, Thelma Braas and Helen Traverse. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Cayuga and South Ninth Streets, LEWISTON, NY, on Monday from 6-8 PM. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Edmund Catholic Church, 530 Ellicott Creek Road, Tonawanda, Erie County, NY. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Suite 6, Williamsville, Erie County, NY 14221. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton, NY.

    Mrs. George Olscamp,
    grandmother of Orleans
    County's planning director,
    Patrick Rountree, is
    celebrating her 100th birthday
    today at her home in
    Tonawanda. Mr. Rountree, an
    Orleans County official for
    several years, lives in Medina.
    Greetings have been
    received from President
    Reagan, Prime Minister
    Pierre Trudeau, Governor
    Carey and local officials
    congratulating Mrs. Olscamp
    on her 100th birthday.
    Born Sarah Keighan on
    March' 9, 1882 at Riveire du
    Loup, Quebec, she survived a
    smallpox epidemic that killed
    her mother and two sisters at
    age 11. Later her family
    survived a disastrous fire
    with only the clothes on their
    Two Sentenced, Three
    Guilty in County Court
    ALBION - Two men have
    been sentenced in Orleans
    County Court before Judge
    Paul I. Miles, court officials
    have reported.
    Eugene Roberts, 35, of 123
    Starr St., Medina has been
    sentenced on a conviction to
    attempted reckless endangerment
    in the first degree.
    Roberts, who was represented
    by attorney Michael Couture,
    has received a sentence of 60
    days in the Orleans County Jail
    along with a probation term of
    five years. '
    Fritz Kopitski, 17, of Eagle
    St., Lyndonville, one of four
    youths involved in the vandalism
    of the Village of Lyndonville's
    flag pole, has been
    sentenced on his conviction to
    d i s o r d e r l y conduct.
    Represented by attorney
    Lance Mark, Kopitski has been
    ordered to pay a fine of $50
    within seven days of sentencing.
    In other court matters, the
    re-trial of James V. Latiiigee,
    Joseph W. Lathigee and
    Gordon L Montgomery has
    resulted in a guilty verdict
    against ail three defendants.
    The three men were
    originally found guilty, but the
    State Court of Appeals, Appellate
    Division Fourth
    Department in Rochester,
    reversed the conviction and
    granted a new trial. James
    Lathigee, 24, of 20-A Village II
    Dr., Hilton was found guilty as
    charged on counts of burglary
    in the first, degree and

    Is Scheduled
    MIDDLEPORT - A Three
    Hour Safe Driving Practices
    Class will be taught on
    Tuesday, March 9, 1982 at 6-
    9:30 p.m. in room 117 of the
    Royalton-Hartland Central
    Senior High Building. The
    class is limited in size -
    preference will be given to fulltime
    Royalton-Hartland
    students. The class is also open
    to adults, if the number of
    students permits.
    A Learner's Permit will be
    required of all persons attending
    the class. A
    registration fee will be
    charged all participants. The

    while Joseph Lathigee, 29, of 9
    Alonquin Terr., Rochester was
    found guilty on charges of
    burglary in the first degree
    and possession of burglar
    tools.
    Meanwhile, Montgomery
    was found guilty of burglary in
    the first degree and criminal
    possession of burglar tools.
    Joseph Lathigee and Montgomery,
    23, of Rochester, are
    also awaiting court action of
    various weapons charges. Both
    Lathigees have been released
    on $5,000. bail and will be
    sentenced along with Montgomery,
    who is held in the
    County Jail in lieu of $10,000
    bail, on April 4. The trial lasted
    four days with Public Defender
    John Russelli representing
    James Lathigee and Montgomery
    while Joseph
    Lathigee was represented by
    attorney Roy King.
    Final Family Film
    At Lee-Whedon
    Friday evening Lee-Whedon
    Library will present its last
    Friday family film program
    for the season. "The Night Of
    The Grizzly" has been chosen
    to close this successful series.
    Starring Clint Walker and
    Martha Hyer, this is the story
    of how ranch life in Wyoming
    becomes complicated by the
    existence of a grizzly bear on a
    murderous rampage. There is
    exciting action when Walker
    battles the bear.
    Free tickets are available at
    Lee-Whedon for this family
    adventure and must be picked
    up in advance. All children
    must be accompanied by an
    adult.
    Movie will begin at 7 and will
    last approximately two hours.

    Today, Mrs. Olscamp has 135
    descendants, mostly in
    Niagara County and Canada.
    A Canadian citizen, she lives
    in excellent health with a
    daughter in Tonawanda. She
    attributes her endurance and
    longevity to "faith in God, hard
    work, and enjoyment of
    frequent games of cards."
    A reception, expected to
    attract 100 descendants, will be
    held next Saturday (March 13)
    at the Roadway Inn, Niagara
    Falls.
