    Richard B. Jagow, 60, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow of Lewiston, and the late Clarence Jagow.

    Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He later attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Richard has been a resident of Youngstown for the past 34 years. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls for seven years, and for the past twenty nine years he worked as a Process Supervisor at DuPont Chemical Co. in Tonawanda. Richard was a member of the Greater Niagara Falls Church of God. He was a passionate motorcyclist and member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Richard was an avid reader particularly of history. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, baking and cooking. Richard was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved vacationing in Florida and spending time with his boxer dog, Beau. Most of all Richard will be remembered as kind, caring, warm hearted individual who was loved by all who knew him.

    In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years Rosalind (Marangine) Jagow; four children, Richard Jagow, II, Justin (Jarrod Atkinson) Jagow, Diana Butinski and Salina Talla; two sisters, Barbara (Dan) Labernardo and Beverly (Joe) Scalzo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co., 625 Third Street, Youngstown, NY 14174 or the Lions Club. Arrangements by M.J.     Clarence H. “"Dutch"” Jagow, age 85, entered into rest on Friday January 23, 2004 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness. Born September 14, 1918 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, son of the late Edward N. and Elizabeth (Wienke) Jagow.
    Mr. Jagow served as a Sargent in the Army Air Force enlisting in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. Clarence served as a City of Niagara Falls Firefighter for 28 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Jagow was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family and friends, he especially enjoyed camping and fishing in the Finger Lakes.
    Mr. Jagow was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Edward and Harold Jagow.
    He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow, his children Beverly Parise of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo of Lewiston, and Richard (Rosalind) Jagow of Youngstown; a sister, Elinor Murtaugh. Clarence is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny and Kendra LaBernardo, Richard and Justin Jagow and many nieces and nephews.
    Clarence chose to donate his body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. Private Funeral Services held at the convenience of the family. If one desires, memorials in Clarence's name may be made to Niagara Hospice or Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY 14304.

    Dorothy M. Jagow, 97, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Peace Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Eva and William Schwenkbeck.
    Dorothy was employed at the former Moore Business Forms and in the cafeteria at South Junior. Most of all, she took pride in spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
    She is survived by her children, Beverly (Joseph) Scalzo, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo; grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda) LaBernardo, Kendra (Jeremiah) Traver, Richard Jagow II, Justin (Jarrod Atkinson) Jagow, Diana Butinski; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Danny Mark LaBernardo and Liv Traver; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence on January 23,2004;son, Richard (Rosalind) on May 9, 2016; siblings, Howard and George Schwenkbeck, Gertrude (Robert) Blakelock, Ruth Bromhall, Wallace and Bart Blakelock.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Peace 3 East for their kindness and care of their mother.
    Dorothy has donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. Private services will be help at the convenience of the family.

    A pretty wedding was solemnized at
    St. Jacob's church at Berholtz on
    Sunday afternoon when Miss Elizabeth
    Wienke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Albert Wienke of Bergholtz, and Mr.
    Edward Jagow of Walmore were united
    in marriage by the Rev. Philip
    Bruss. The bride was gowned in blue
    satin. Her bridal veil was caught
    with roses and she carried a shower
    bouquet of bride's roses. She was at-
    tended by Miss Evelyn Wienke, maid
    of honor, and Miss Helena Voelkstead,
    and Miss Emma Jagow, bridesmaids,.
    all of whom were dressed in white
    and carriede carnations. The best man
    was Walter Jagow. The ushers were
    Albert Wienke and Hugo Wienke. A
    reception was held at the bride's
    home. Dinner was served and covers
    were laid for 75.

    Born in Niagara Fals, Mr.
    Schwenkbeck had been a member
    of the Niagara Falls Fire
    Department from 1918 until his
    retirement inT958. During these
    years, his job was conducted
    mainly from Engine 1 Firehall,
    Second and Niagara streets.
    He was a member of Trinity
    Lutheran Church.
    Mr. Schwenkbeck is survived
    by his widow, Mrs. Eva
    Schwenkbeck; two sons, Howard
    Schwenkbeck of Tonawanda
    and George Schwenkbeck of
    this city; two stepsons, Wallace
    Blakelock of Buffalo and Barton
    Blakelock of Grand Island;
    two daughters', Mrs. Clarence

    both of this city; and a stepdaughter,
    Mrs. Raymond (Ruth)
    Bromhall of Salisbury, Md.; 19
    grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
    The Rev. Arnold W. Schneider
    of Trinity Lutheran Church
    will conduct funeral services
    at the Gridley Funeral Home
    at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial
    will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
    A spokesman for the family
    said that memorial contributions
    to the Trinity Lutheran
    Church organ fund would be
    acceptable as tributes.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 7 to 9 p.m.
    today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to
    9 p.m. Tuesday.
