    held her tiered veil, and she
    carried a cascade bouquet
    of white carnationa centered
    with a white orchid.

    MISS MARLENE Townsend
    attended her sister as
    maid of honor, attired in a
    floor-length gown of print
    organza. The skirt extended
    .to a princess-style front
    panel with fullness at back;
    A large yellow picture hat
    held her maline veil, and
    she carried a colonial bouquet
    of white and yellow
    carnations.
    The bridesmaids were the
    Misses Gail Townsend, Patricia
    Batt a n d E s t h er
    Himes. E a c h was gowned
    similarly to the honor attendant,
    with lavender accents.
    Mias Bonnie Jean Mlelke
    was j u n i o r bridesmaid,
    gowned aimilarly to the
    bridesmaids. Miss Ruth Ann
    Townsend waa flower girl,
    Terrance Gorman was his
    brother's beat man. Guests
    were seated by Robert Miller,
    Edgar Townsend, brother
    of the bride, and Jerauld
    Mick.

    waa held at the Boot
    and Saddle Restaurant.
    The bride'a mother greeted
    guests in a powder blue
    lace sheath of lace and silk
    organza, with matching ac-
    cessories and a white orchid
    corsage.
    The bridegroom's mother
    chose a mint green organza
    dress with matching accessories,
    and a corsage of
    white orchids.
    After a w e d d i n g trip

    Townsend, 77, of 2970 Saunders
    Settlement Road, died
    Sunday (Dec. 16, 1962) at Niagara
    Falls Memorial Hospital;
    after an illness of two years.
    A resident of Sanbom for
    35 years, Mr. Townsend was
    born in the Town of Lockport,
    Sept. 21 1885, son of Morris
    and Emily Wallace Townsend.
    He operated furms in various
    sections of the county during
    his early life. Then, for 30
    years, he had been employed
    by the State Highway Department,
    retiring about two years
    ago.
    His wife, the former Berth
    Reed, died in 1955.
    Mr. Townsend was a member
    of St. Luke's Episcopal
    Church in Brockport.
    Surviving are four sons,
    Clarence A. Townsend, Lockport,
    Donald E. Townsend,
    Niagara Falls, Raymond W.
    Townsend, North Ridge, and
    Wilson R..Townsend, Sanborn;
    a daughter, Miss Helen M.
    Townsend, S a n b o r n ; two
    brothers Clarence M. Townsend,
    Fort Lauderdale, Fla.;
    and William Townsend, Niagara
    Falls; three sisters, Mrs.
    Marian Williams and Mrs.
    Berta Simpkins, both of Niagara

    Mrs Edgar Townsend Did
    After Extended Illness
    SANBORN, July 26—Mrs. Edgar
    J. Townsend, 67, of Saundert
    Settlement Rd., died yesterday (July
    25, 1955) in Lockport City Hospital
    after an extended illness.
    She was born in the Town of
    Ogden, Monroe County, on Jan.
    22, 1888, daughter of the late
    Albert and Carrie Reed. After
    her marriage, she lived in Brockport
    for eight years. She was a
    member of St. Luke's Episcopal
    Church there.
    In addition to her husband, she
    is survived by four sons, Donald
    Townsend, Niagara Falls, Clarence
    A. Townsend, Lockport, Raymond
    Townsend, North Ridge, and Wilson
    Townsend, at home; a daughter,
    Miss Helen M. Townsend, at
    home; and a sister, Mrs. G. A.
    Hiam, Niagara Falls.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m.
    Thursday at the Pike Funeral
    home. Burial will be in North
    Ridge Cemetery.

    SANBORN, Oct. 21—Miss Helen
    Townsend entertained at a family
    dinner party at Lyon's Tea room
    in honor of the Forty-fifth wedding
    anniversary of her parents, Mr. and
    Mrs. Edgar Townsend, Townline
    road. The table was centered with a
    tiered wedding cake. Appropriate
    music was played on the organ during
    the dinner and "Oh Promise
    Me," was sung by the soloist.
    Mrs. Townsend wore a corsage of
    mums and Mr. Townsend a carnation
    bouttonaire presented by their
    eldest son, Clarence, and his wife.
    Edgar Townsend. formerly of
    Cambria Center, and the former
    Bertha Reed, West Sweden, were
    united in. marriage, October 16, 1907
    at the home of the bride, by the
    Rev. W. H. G. Lewis, who was rector
    of St. Luke's Episcopal church,
    Brockport, of which both were members,

    The bride was attended by her sister.
    Mrs. Gilbert Hiam, Pekin, as
    maid pi honor and Mrs. Otto Hemline,
    Darian Center, sister of the
    bridegroom, as ring bearer. Clarence
    M. Townsend, Town of Niagara,
    was his brother's best man. The
    wedding music was played by John
    Liese, Rochester a cousin of Mrs.
    Townsend. The couple made their
    home in Brockport moving to Niagara
    county in 1915.
    Mr. and Mrs. Townsend are the
    parents of four sons, Clarence A.,
    Lockport: Donald, Niagara Falls;
    Raymond, Cambria Center and Wilson,
    Sanborn, and one daughter,
    Helen, who resides with her parents.
    They also have 19 grandchildren.

    N. T. Man Stricken, Dies at DeGraff
    Henry W. Strassburg, 64, of 83 Felton street, died suddenly last night in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was in the yard at his home when he was stricken with a heart attack. A North Tonawanda police ambulance removed him to the hospital at 9 o'clock. He died there 20 minutes later. A month prior he sustained a slight paralytic stroke.
    Born in the town of Wheatfield, Mr. Strassburg had resided in this vicinity all his life. In recent years he had resided at the Felton street address.
    Surviving are a son, Corp. Harvey Strassburg of Camp Cook, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Batt and Mrs. Donald Townsend of North Tonawanda; nine grandchildren, four brothers, John and Christian of North Tonawanda and Philip and William of Sanborn, and six sisters, Mrs. George Pfanner of Tonawanda, Mrs. William Strassburg of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Herman Mielke, Mrs. Edward Wendt and Mrs. Fred VanDeWater of Sanborn and Mrs. Louis Horaeck of Rochester, N. Y.
    Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the residence and at 4 o'clock from St. Mark's Lutheran church. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate and interment will be in St. Mark's cemetery.
