    RANSOMVILLE — Ransomville - Leonard F. Strablow, age 83, of Ransomville, died Monday, August 30, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Leonard was born March 25, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Fred L. and Alice (Wiepert) Strablow and was a lifelong resident of Ransomville.

    He owned and operated his 116 acre family farm, Strablow Farms, and had taken his produce to the Clinton-Bailey Market in Buffalo for 56 years. Leonard married Marion R. (Miller) Strablow on April 26, 1952. He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Newfane, a member of the Sanborn Historical Society, and the Ransomville Rural Retirees.

    He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion; and a daughter, Karen Strablow, also of Ransomville.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 3rd at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Jagow officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria.     Marion R. Strablow, age 95, of Cambria, wife of the late Leonard F. Strablow died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Marion was born on January 13, 1927, in Town of Porter, NY. She is the daughter of the late Walter and the late Edith (Voelker) Miller. She married Leonard F. Strablow on April 26, 1952, he predeceased her on August 30, 2010. Marion was the co-owner and operator along with her husband of Strablow Farms in Cambria and went to Clinton and Bailey Farm Market for 56 years.     patient for four days. He had
    been ill for two weeks. —
    Mr. Strablow was born Feb.
    8, 1894, in the Town of Lewiston,
    the son of Charles and Rachel
    Strablow. He had worked a
    farm, for 60 years, retiring 15
    years ago. He was a 40-year
    member of the Farm Bureau
    and a lifelong member of St.
    Peter's Lutheran Church, North-
    Ridge.
    Survivors include his wife,
    Alice Wiepert Strablow; a son,
    Leonard Strablow, and a brother,
    Edward Strablow, both of
    Ransomville; also one grandchild
    Services will be held 1:45 p.m.
    Wednesday at the Hardison
    Funeral Home here and at 2:30
    p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran
    Church, the Rev. David Musall
    officiating. Burial will be in
    North Ridge Cemetery.

    A pretty wedding was solemnized at
    the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Weipert,
    at Porter Center. Wednesday af-
    ternoon at 5 o'clock, when their daugh-
    ter, Alice Louise, was united in mar-
    riage to Fred Strablow of the Ridge
    road, the Rev. John P. Barkow of
    North Ridge performing the ceremony
    in the presence of upwards of 50 guests.
    The wedding was performed in front of
    a beautimul arch pf evergreens and
    roses and tho rooms, were tastefully
    decorated in pink and white.
    The bride was attired In white crepe
    de chine and wore a veil caught with
    orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet
    of white carnations. The maid
    of honor, Miss Marian Parks, wore pink
    Georgette and carried pink carnations.
    Herbert Simmons acted as best man.
    A reception was held following tho
    ceremony, with covers for. 12 at the
    birde's table. The table decorations foli
    lowed out the color scheme of pink and
    white. Mr. and, Mrs. Strablow will
    make their home at North Ridge the
    coming winter.

    Surviving are his wife, Edith
    Voelker Miller, at home; two
    daughters, Mrs. Leonard Strablow,
    North Ridge, and Mrs. William
    Ruble. Boiessvain, Va.; two brothers,
    Clarence Miller. Newfane,
    and Franklin Miller, Ransomville;
    and a sister, Mrs. Roy Workman,
    Cleveland, Ohio. Two grandchildren
    also survive.

    Rachael Caroline Strablow, 86, of
    the Ridge road, died yesterday at
    Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls.

    Mrs. Strablow, widow of Charles

    daughter,. Mrs. John Pollow; two
    brothers, Lewis and Albert Simmons;
    12 grandchildren and 13
    great grandchildren, all of the
    Ransomvllle vicinity.

    He had been at the hospital only one
    day. Mr. Wiepert was born in Ger-
    many but had resided at Ransomville
    since he was two years old.
    He is survived by his wife, Sarah
    Weipert; two daughters, Mrs. Edward
    Strablow and Mrs. Fred Strablow;
    his father, Fred Weipert; two broth-
    ers, Charles and John; three sisters,
    Mrs. Louis Simmons, Mrs. William
    Krohn and Mrs. Ernest Krohn and
