A well-known restaurant owner
who retired five years ago, Peter
B. Nielsen, 80, of 735 Third St.,
died last night at Mt. St. Mary's
Hospital after an illness of two
months.
In business in this city for more
than 45 years, he originally operated
a restaurant at Pine Ave. and
Third St, and also at 324 Niagara
St.
. Mr. Nielson was born in Denmark
and resided in this city for
the last 54 years. He was a member
of the Beleville Lodge No.
316, IOOF, for more than 50 years
and also a member of the Eagles
No. 346.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Else Nielson; two daughters, Mrs.
Marie N. Hewitt and Mrs. Charles
N. Hutchinson, both of this city,
and one granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Gridley
Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9
p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Arthur H.
Schmoyer will officiate at funeral
services at the convenience of the
family.
