A former supervisor ,of the Ninth
ward, Fred J. Winker. Sr.. died suddenly
in Hollyhill, Fla., according to
word received here.
Mr. Winker, who was in the contracting
business for 20 years in this
city, left Niagara Falls five years ago
and took up residence in Hollyhill.
Funeral services and burial will
be in that city.
Survivers include his wife, Esther;
two daughters, Mrs. Charles Graf
and Miss Joyce Winker, of Hollyhill;
three sons, Thomas, Hollyhill;
Fred, Jr., and Kenneth, both of this
city; his mother, Sophie; two brothers,
Earl.and Herman, and a sister,
Mrs. Marie Carson, till of this city.
Four grandchildren also survive.

Fredrick married STACKINGER, Esther Isabel on 4 Nov 1920 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. Esther was born on 31 Aug 1901 in Bolivar, Allegheny County, New York; died on 15 Dec 1989 in Ormond Beach, Volusia County, FL. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The marriage of Mrs. Esther Sackinger
of Sixteenth street and Fred J.
Winker of Nineteenth street took
place Thursday evening at six o'clock
In the parsonage of the Zion Lutheran
church, the Rev. Herman Bresing officiated.
Miss Gladys Smith and
Angus Maslniosb were the attendants.

15, Frederick Winker of 1009 Nineteenth
street, beloved husband of Sophia, father
of Mrs. John Carson and Fred J., Earl
G. and Herman C. Winker all of this
city, brother of Mrs. John Gunzelman
and George and Joseph Winker of this
city. Deceased is also survived by 11
grandchildren. Funeral services from
his late residence. 1009 Nineteenth
street, Sunday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m.
and from Zlon Evangelical Lutheran
church at 3:30. Rev. Arthur H Schmoyer
officiating. Interment In Memorial Park
cemetery

Frederick married MACK, Sophia about 1895. Sophia (daughter of MACK, John E and BECK, Catharine) was born on 23 Jul 1876; died on 24 Dec 1961 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Joseph Winkler, an old and well
known resident of the city, died Saturday
morning at 10:30 o'clock at his
home, No. 1717 Pine Avenue after an Iillness of five months, .during which
time he suffered greatly from liver
trouble. The deceased was in his
68th year. He was born in Wurten-
berg, Germany, and has been a resident
of Niagara Falls for the last 38
years. He was very well known In
this city being a member of the Masons
and Bricklayers Union for a number
of years.
Besides his wife he is survived by
three sons, Fred. George P.. and Jo-
seph G., and daughter, Mrs. George
L Gunzelman, all of this city.
The funeral services were held this
afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family
home and interment was made in Oakwood
cemetery.

Joseph married Louisa about 1870. Louisa was born in May 1838 in Switzerland; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

John married BECK, Catharine on 21 Mar 1873. Catharine was born in Nov 1850 in Baden-Württemberg, Germany; died on 27 Nov 1933 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Katherhie Mack, widow of
John E. Mack and one of the most j
widely known residents of the north!
end section of the city, died today at
her home, 1661 Ontario avenue. She
was 83 years old and had been ill
only two weeks. Plans for the funeral
have not been completed.
Born In Wurten, Germany, Mrs.
Mack came to Niagara Falls when
she was 16 years old and had lived
here ever since. She was held in
the highest esteem among a wide
circle of friends, she was a member
of the Zlon Lutheran church for the
past 67 years and was an active
worker in numerous church affairs
She was a member of the Ladles Aid
society of the church and of Riverdae
Rebekah Lodge. No. 195, I.O.O.P.
Mrs. Mack is survived by three
sons, Jacob, Charles and John Mack,
all of this city; four daughters, Mrs.
John Gassier, Mrs. Fred Winker and
Mrs. Louis Hudson, of this city, and
Mrs. Herman Quester. of Sanborn;
21 grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren
