    NIAGARA FALLS — Howard H. Schul, Sr., age 85, of Niagara Falls, was called unexpectedly to his heavenly home on January 19, 2011 at his residence. Born April 30, 1925 in the Town of Niagara, NY, to the late William and Laura (Sachs) Schul.

    Howard was a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the Shangri La from 1942-1946 and received an honorable discharge. He was an avid gardener, cook and golfer. His sportsmanship was demonstrated when he registered his second hole-in-one, respectively at age 70 and 76. His gardening skills flourished when he diligently planted and labeled a tree for each of his grandchildren, at his Holiday, FL home. Howard retired from DuPont Chemical in 1984. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, the Moose Lodge- No. 55 in Holiday, FL, Veterans Association, Buff Social Club, American Legion- Post 0173, and a lifetime member of the Elk's Lodge- No. 346 in Niagara Falls. Howard was predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. (Dugas) Schul on February 5, 2008; and two brothers, Richard and George Schul.

    Survivors include his five children, Bonnie (Fred) Snyder of Lockport, Diana (Wayne) Vigue of Niagara Falls, Howard (Theresa) Schul, Jr. of Grand Island, Arlene Stallard of Amherst, Eric (Kate) Schul of Niagara Falls; son-in-law, Ed Stallard of North Tonawanda; grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Snyder, Mark (Karina) Snyder, Nicole Vigue, Danielle (Matt) Jennings, Lisa (Mark) Serafini, Derek Stallard, Craig Stallard, Tyler Stallard, Eric Schul II and Heather Schul; great-grandchildren: Zachary and Collin Snyder, Dylan Serafini, David Snyder and Bailey Jennings; a sister, Eileen Hartwig of Niagara Falls; brother, Leonard (Loretta) Schul of Town Niagara; and a sister-in-law, Doris Schul.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. David Hoecker, on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 18th Street and Cleveland Avenue, Niagara Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    Patricia A. Schul (Dugas), age 79 of Fairchild Manor Nursing Home, Lewiston, formerly of Niagara Falls, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the facility, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on March 17, 1928 to the late Theodore and Loretta (Carl) Dugas. Patricia attended local schools, graduated from Kelly's Business School and was employed as a sales clerk at the former Jenss Department Store in Niagara Falls, and worked for the Department of Social Services. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 17 and the Buffalo Club. Hobbies and interests included painting, swimming, reading and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Howard H. Schul, Sr.; five children, Bonnie (Fred) Snyder of Lockport, Diana (Wayne) Vigue of Niagara Falls, Howard (Theresa) Schul, Jr. of Grand Island, Arlene (Ed) Stallard of Amherst and Eric (Kate) Schul of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Snyder, Mark (Karina) Snyder, Nicole Vigue, Danielle Vigue, Lisa (Mark) Serafini, Derek Stallard, Craig Stallard, Tyler Stallard, Eric Schul II and Heather Schul; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Collin Snyder; and two sisters, Bernadine (Clark) Candido and Sherley Alcorn, both of Niagara Falls. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev.     ST.PAUL Lutheran Church was the setting
    Saturday (Oct. 18, 1969) for the candlelight
    marriage of Miss Bonnie Jean Schul and
    Frederick Richard Snyder. The Rev. Theodore
    Menter officiated at the 5 p.m, double ring
    ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of. Mr. and
    Mrs,. Howard H. Schul, 2719. Willow Ave. Mr.
    Snyder is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick
    W. Snyder, 1002 Cleveland Ave.
    Given in marriage by her rather, the bride
    wore a Victorian gown of peau de sole with
    high neckline, long puff sleeves and detachable
    chapel length train. A bib of crystal and
    pearl beading accented the bodice and cuffs.
    Her Camelot cap with pearl and crystal trim
    secured her bouffant veil and she carried
    a Camelot lily cluster with ferns.
    MISS DIANA Lynn Schul, sister of the
    bride, was maid of honor. Her parakeet green
    chiffon sheath with ruffle neckline and long
    sleeves, was accented with powder blue satin.
    Her matching green Camelot cap secured a
    powder blue veil and she carried a bouquet
    of yellow roses with peacock feathers.
    Similarly styled gowns were worn by Miss
    Linda Hewitt, Miss Peggy Hartwig and Mrs,
    J. Dennis Jordan, Lockport, bridesmaids;
    Arlene Schul, junior bridesmajd,: sister of the
    bride; and Joanne Snyder, flower girl.
    J. Dennis Jordan, Lockport, was best man.
    Ushers were Howard H Schl, Jr.. b r o t h er
    of the bride; Edward Snyder and Scott Har-
    rison, Arlington, Va.
    An evening reception was held at Bergholtz
    Fire Hall.
    On their return from t weddmg trip to
    Puerto Rico, Mr. and Mrs Snyder will make
    their new home in 98th St.
