    Cecile C. “CiCi” Beutel (Camann), age 66, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. She was born in Bergholz, the daughter of the late Waldemar H. and Lucille E. Camann, on February 24, 1942. Her strong family values developed early as she helped in the raising of her brothers, William (JoAnne) Camann, Dr. Keith (Ellen) Camann, Richard (Sue) Camann; and her sisters, Barbara Sniffen, Audrey Pfohl and Donna (Jeffery) Zygmont. Two additional brothers, Joel and Frederick predeceased Mrs. Beutel. She spent her early years attending Holy Ghost Lutheran School. She graduated as Valedictorian of her Senior Class at Niagara Falls High School in 1959. She completed one year of college at the University of Rochester, where she had received academic scholarships. She chose to forego completing her degree in order to marry her sweetheart, Marvin I. Beutel. They moved to Fairport, NY and enjoyed 32 years of marriage, until his untimely death on August 26, 1994. Cici enjoyed her role as a homemaker and proudly raised her five sons, Andrew, Dennis, Matthew, Edward and Adam, with her strong beliefs and values. Her motherly love carried on to their respective wives and fiancés, Ladelle, Jodi, Vicki, Nancy and Lisa, all of whom grew to love, respect and cherish her. She was especially proud of her nine grandchildren, Emily, Jennifer, Justin, Zak, Ryan, Justin, Mia, Jake and Noah.Mrs. Beutel was actively involved in Bethlehem Lutheran Church and in the ELCA Synod, where she served on numerous committees and leadership positions. She was instrumental in the development and startup of Advent House Hospice care, located in Fairport, where she also volunteered. She sponsored and hosted refugee families from Laos and Somalia. Mrs. Beutel also acted as Coordinator for Reach to Recovery for newly diagnosed cancer patients. She contributed much time and energy to other programs devoted to helping others.She is also survived by sister–in-law, Carol (RADM James) Doebler, Uncle Roland (Bonnie) Camann; aunts, Doris Camann, Violet Wurm, Lorraine Wilksen, Lydia Stoelting, Gladys Hasley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Friends and family may call Friday, January 23rd, 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Cecile’s funeral service Saturday, January 24th, 9:30 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 48 Perrin Street, Fairport, NY 14450.     Camann, Waldemar H. "Wally"
    Waldemar H. "Wally" Camann, age 91, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. He was born in Bergholz, the son of the late Albert A. and Emma (Baars) Camann on January 26, 1917. Mr. Camann lived in Bergholz nearly all of his life and was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. He married the former Lucille E. Wilksen on April 26, 1941. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage until her death on April 23, 1996. Mr. Camann received his early education at Holy Ghost Lutheran School, followed by South Junior High School, quit school to work at Carborundum for a time during the Depression, then returned to school and graduated from Trott Vocational School in 1937.Mr. Camann started work at DuPont in 1938 as a welding apprentice and eventually worked in sheet metal layout, until his retirement in 1978. He also crafted and installed gutters on many homes in the area to supplement the income needed to support his large family.After retirement, the Camann's enjoyed traveling and enjoying the scenery, and for visits with far-flung family and friends. He was involved with volunteering from an early age and was always available to "lend a hand" whether to individuals or through organizations to which he belonged. He was a very active member of his church, the Walther League, the Lutheran Laymen's League, the historical society and had over 70 years of volunteer service with the First Volunteer Fire Company of Bergholz, Inc. Mr. Camann is survived by his children, sons, William (JoAnne) Camann, Kent, NY, Dr. Keith (Ellen) Camann, Okemos, MI, Richard (Sue) Camann, Plymouth, MI; and daughters, Cecile Beutel, Walworth, NY, Barbara Sniffen, Gainesville, FL, Audrey Pfohl, Highlands Ranch, CO, and Donna (Jeffrey) Zygmont, Salem, NH. He was very proud of his 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Roland (Bonnie) Camann, Niagara Falls; sisters-in-law, Doris Camann, Loraine Wilksen, Violet Wurm; and brother-in-law, Leslie Wilksen, and was Uncle Wally to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Camann was predeceased by his wife and two ..... sons, Joel and Frederick; son-in-law, Marvin Beutel; and brothers, Albert C., Eugene W. and the Rev. Francis E.     Lucille E. Camann, a retired employee of the Niagara-Wheatfield School District, died Tuesday (April 23, 1996) in Northgate Manor Health Care Facility.
    Mrs. Camann, 83, of Binkley Street, was born Lucille E. Wilksen in Thayer, Neb., and was valedictorian of her high school class in Benedict, Neb.
    She had lived in Wheatfield since 1934.
    Mrs. Camann was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz and served on its Altar Guild. She also was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Lutheran Layman's League.
    She was employed by the Niagara-Wheatfield School District for 10 years, as an audiovisual secretary and a library aide.
    She also was a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    Survivors include her husband, Waldemar H. Friday, the day of her funeral, would have been their 55th anniversary.
    Other survivors include three sons, William of Kent, Dr. Keith of Okemos, Mich., and Richard of Plymouth, Mich.; four daughters, Cecile Beutel of Fairport, Barbara Sniffen of Gainesville, Fla., Audrey Pfohl of Littleton, Colo., and Donna Zygmont of Salem, NH; a brother, Leslie Wilksen of Benedict; a sister, Violet Wurm of Lincoln, Neb.; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Friday's services will be conducted at 11 A.M. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

    the bride of Waldemar Camann, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Camann, Of

    The Rev. John Kuchenbecker,
    pastor, performed the Impressive
    ceremony before an altar banked
    with blue and pink hydrangeas. Two
    altar vases held arrangements of
    daffodils, white snapdragons, lavender'
    stock and fernsr Hugo Oade
    presided st the organ and Miss Geraldlne
    Jagow, soloist, sang "Because."

    The bride, who was given in marriage
    by her brother, Arthur Wllksen,
    was lovely In a princess gown of
    white faille taffeta beautifully fashioned
    with leg Cmutton sleeves ending
    in a peak over each hand, The
    sweetheart neckline was'fastened in
    back with a row of tiny buttons and
    the full skirt had a long train. Her
    three-quarter length veil of illusion
    tulle fell from a "geisha girl" headdress
    with clusters of gardenias and
    lllles-of-the-valley over each ear.
    She wore a single strand of pearls
    and carried a cascade bouquet of
    gardenias and gypsophelia.
    The bride's sister, Violet Wllksen.
    of Benedict, Neb., was maid of honor.
    She wore a frock of yellow taffeta
    and the long full skirt fell from
    a fitted bodice. Tiny bows of aqua
    velvet ribbon trimmed the high
    sweetheart neckline and dainty puff
    sleeves. She wore a cluster of flowers
    caught with- a bow of aqua ribbon,
    with long floor-length streamers
    in her hair. Her colonial bouquet
    was of yellow roses, snapdragons
    and blue Iris tied with a large
    aqua bow. She also wore ar strand
    of pearls, a gift from thte bride.
    Miss Elaine Gade was Junior
    bridesmaid and wore a gown of
    aqua taffeta made like that of the
    maid of honor. The neckline and
    sleeves were trimmed with yellow
    velvet ribbon. Yellow streamers
    fell from a cluster of flowers in her
    hair. She carried a colonial bouquet
    tied with yellow ribbon and
    wore a heart-shaped locket, a gift
    from the bride.
    Eugene Camann was. his brother's
    best man while Albert Camann, Jr.,
    and Roland Camann, also brothers
    of the groom, were ushers.
    _The groom's mother wore a sheer
    black forck with lace.collars and
    cuffs and s corsage of yellow roses
    pnd lavender stock.
    " *At 8 o'clock a dinner was served
    at the home of the bridegroom
    for about 25 guests. The house was
    attractively decorated with flowers,
    white streamers and wedding be,lls.
    Covers were laid for 13 at the bride's
    table which was centered with a
    three-tiered wedding cake, beautifully
    decorated, and flanked by
    candelabra, holding white tapers. In
    the evening an open-house, reception
    was held at the Bergholts hall
    for a,bout 100 guests. - "
    The bride and groom left on a
    trip to Washington, D. G, the bride
    wearing'a smart ensemble of navy
    blue dress and cape,! navy hat and*
    matching accessories. They are now
    at home to their friends In Ward
    road 8t. Johnsburg.
    Among the pre-nuptlal parties for
    Mrs. Camann were a linen and personal
    shower given by Mrs. Howard
    Jagow and Mrs. Albert Camann Jr.;
    a variety shower by Mrs. Hugo Oade

    Bergholtz Woman Dies at 85 Years

    BERGHOLTZ, Jan. 13 - Mrs. Emilie Camann, 85, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julius Stoelting. of this village. She was born in the town of Wheafield and had resided there all her life. Besides the daughter, she is survived by seven sons, Charles, of Tonawanda. William and John, of Niagara Falls, Frank. Albert. Edwin and Harry, all of this village; one sister, Mrs. Henry Witkop, of Pekin. 32 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 pm. from the Stoelting home and at 2:30 from the Holy Ghost Lutheran church. The Rev. John Kuchenbecker will officiate and interment will be in Holy Ghost cemetery.
