    BERGHOLZ-Arnold R. Wendt, 82, of Niagara Road, died Sunday (Aug. I, 1993) at his residence after a lengthy illness.
    He was born in Sanborn on May 22, 1911, the son of William and Emelie (Beutel) Wendt. He was a pioneer in the frozen food industry of Western New York. For 25 years, he operated his own business, formerly known as Wendt Frozen Foods on Furman Boulevard in Buffalo.
    Mr. Wendt then worked for the former S.M. Flickenger County, now known as the Scrivner County, in Buffalo as a buyer in the frozen food division. He retired in 1976.
    He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, where he had served as an elder for three terms. He also was a member of the Gideons International.
    He married the former Louise Milleville on Nov. 29, 1934.
    In addition to his wife, Mr. Wendt is survived by a son, the Rev. Jerald Wendt of Whitewater, Wise.; two daughters, Anne Louise Schreiner of Palus Verdi., Calif., and Jeannine Ary of Sao Paulo, Brazil; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    He was the brother of the late William Wendt, Laura Walck and Edna Walck.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road. The Rev. Cyril S. Hurnyak will conduct services at II a.m. Saturday in St. James Lutheran É (sic).

    Funeral services for Arnold R. Wendt, 82, of Niagara Road, a business owner and employee in the area frozen food industry, will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
    He died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1993) at his home after a long illness.
    A native of Sanborn, Wendt owned and operated the former Wendt Frozen Foods on Fuhrmann Boulevard in Buffalo for 25 years. He then worked for the former S.M. Flickinger Co. in Buffalo as a buyer in the frozen food division, retiring in 1976.
    He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder for three terms. He was a member of Gideons International.

    Louise M. Wendt (Milleville), age 91, was called to her heavenly home on May 25, 2002 at the Fairhaven Retirement Facility, in Whitewater, WI, formerly of Wheatfield, NY. Born on December 7, 1910 to Albert and Rosina (Ferchen) Milleville in Niagara Falls, NY. She was united in marriage to Arnold R. Wendt on November 29, 1934. She was employed as a clerk for the Sanborn Phone Company. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater, WI and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was predeceased by her husband on August 1, 1993; four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include one son, the Rev. Jerald (Nancy) Wendt of Whitewater, WI; two daughters, Anne Louise (Robert) Schreiner of Los Angeles, CA and Jeannine (Frederick) Ary of Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Albert (Elizabeth) Milleville of Niagara Falls; three sisters; Sophia Schultz of North Tonawanda, Mabel (Paul) Klemm of Wessington, SD and Judith (Howard) Strobie (sic) of Marion, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A service was held at First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater, WI on June 1st at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield on Friday, June 7th from 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. David B. Menz on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Rohr Street in Bergholz. Friends may also pay their respects at the church on Saturday during the two hours prior to the service. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.

    BEROHOLTZ, Dec. 4-~A beautiful
    wedding took place November 29 at
    St. James church, when Miss Louise
    Milleville, of the Niagara Falls
    boulevard, was united In marriage to
    Arnold Wendt. Miss Milleville is
    the daughter of Supervisor Albert
    Milleville and Mrs. Milleville and
    Mr Wendt is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
    william Wendt of the Saunders Set-
    tlement road.
    During the gathering of the guests
    at the church, which was artistically
    decorated with palms and filled to
    capacity with friends and relatives
    Theodore D. Grabau rendered appro-
    priate music on the organ. The wed-
    ding march from "Lohengrin" was
    played as the bridal party entered.
    The bride looked adorable in a
    long tight fitted gown of white trans-
    parent velvet which has a short eton
    jacket trimmed with small buttons
    down the back. Her veil was of silk
    tulle edged with silk chantilly lace
    and arranged cap shape with a clus-
    ter of orgnage blossoms on either side.
    She carried a large shower bouquet
    of white chrysanthemums tied with
    white satin streamers and wore white
    slippers to match. She wore a yellow
    gold necklace, gift of the groom.
    The maid of honor, Helen Mill-e
    ville, cousin of the bride, looked love-
    lovely
    In a floor length tight fitted gown
    of brown transparent velvet Sha
    carried a large shower bouquet of
    yellow chrysanthemums. Miss Judith
    Millevllle, sister of the bride, was
    junior bride's maid and looked charming
    m an orange-color taffeta gown.
    I t was floor length and had several
    rows of ruffles at the bottom of the
    skirt. She carried a shower bouquet
    of rust-color baby chrysanthemums
    The groom came from the sacristy
    and met the bride. Edgar Grabau
    assisted the groom. Ushers were Gerhard
    Millevllle, brother of the bride,
    and Alton Wendt, brother of the
    groom. A quartet, consisting of Miss
    Elsie Millevllle, Mrs. Irma De Vantier
    Blank, Adelbert Grabau and
    Martin Millevllle, sang ' T h e Lord Is j
    My Shepherd," and "Jesus, Savior'
    Pilot Me." Mr. Grabau played softly
    during the ceremony.
    The Rev. Otto Bruss officiated.
    Benediction followed the marriage
    ceremony. After the services a r e ception
    for about 100 guests was held
    at the home of the bride, where a
    delicious chicken dinner was served at
    6 o'clock. The bride's table was centered
    with a large tiered wedding
    cake and bouquets of chrysanthemums.
    Several birthday cakes were also
    the attraction of the guests for the
    following guests whose birthdays oc-
    curred on this date: the bride's fa-
    ther, Supervisor Milleville, the groom's
    father, William Wendt, and the
    bride's brother-in-law, Christ Burow.
    The bride and groom received many
    beautiful and useful gifts Quite a
    number of pre-nuptial affairs wee
    given in their honor. The bride's
    going-away outfit was a brown swag-
    ger suit and a rust-color hat to
    match. The bride's mother wore a
    gown of black silk crepe and the
    groom's mother wore a gown of black
    velvet. The bride and groom will re-
    side in Buffalo where the groom is
    employed.

    Pioneer Resident Is Laid to Rest
    SANBORN, Feb. 23-The funeral of William F. Wendt, 76, who died Saturday at his home in Saunder's (sic) Settlement road, was held from the home yesterday at 2:30 p. m. and at St. Peter's church, at Walmore, at 3 o'clock and was attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends.
    The bearers included: Ben Wendt, Philip Wendt, Robert Wendt, Edwin Beutel. Rudolph Beutel and William Beutel. Flower bearers were Donald Wendt, Merwyn (sic), Wendt, Ben Walck, Jr., and Lawrence Walck. The Rev. Edward A. Graubau (sic) was the officiating Clergyman. Interment was in St. Peter's cemetery, Walmore.

Jan 9, 1890 married to Wm. Wendt, who died Feb 19, 1938, had 5 children. Right after marriage, moved to Detroit Mich, there until 1901, then moved to present home of Alton Wendt, near Sanborn where she died. Jan. 3 lapsed into a coma and fell asleep Sun. morning Jan 7 (at) 3:25. Survivors: 3 sons, Alton and Wm. of Sanborn, Arnold of Bergholz; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ben Wendt Sr. of Sanborn and Mrs. Edna Walck of Median; 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Suffered from hardening of the arteries which it seems weakened her brain and affected her mind, this was already apparent about 15 yrs. ago, but was serious only in the past 6 yrs. or so.     Wife of the late Albert Milleville, who died in 1931, she is survived by two sons, Gerhard W. and Albert E.     John Milleville

    John Milleville, 80 years old, one of the pioneer settlers of the town of
    Wheatfield, dropped dead at his home in Bergholtz, a suburb of this city,
    yesterday afternoon. Heart disease is attributed as the cause of death.
    The deceased was born in Germany and came here 55 years ago, locating in
    Wheatfield. Three daughters, Mrs. William Schmidt, Mrs. Christian Ferchen
    and Mrs. Fred Devantier; three sons, John, William and Albert Milleville,
    all of Bergholtz; three sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Pfuhl, Mrs. William Haseley
    and Mrs. Albert Walck and four brothers, August, William, Ferdinand and
    Albert Williams all of the town of Wheatfield, survive. The funeral will be
    held from the late home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and a half hour
    later from the Grabau Lutheran church at Bergholtz. Burial will be at
    Bergholtz.

    Mrs. Anna D. Ferchen
    Mrs. Anna D. Ferchen, 61 years old, wife of John Ferchen of Bergholtz, died at the family home Thursday night. Mrs. Ferchen was born in Bergholtz, and lived there all her life. Besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Mrs. Albert Milleville, and Mrs. Albert Dubois; four sons, Henry, John, Philip and Edward Ferchen of Bergholtz; and three brothers, Henry Voelker of Bergholtz, Fred Voelker of Chicago and Philip C. Voelker of LeValley, Canada, survive. The funeral will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later from the Grabau Lutheran Church at Bergholtz. Burial will be made in Bergholtz.
