Sophie M. Schultz (nee Milleville), age 95, of North Tonawanda, died November 19, 2008, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family. Sophie was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Old Falls Blvd.) As a child she attended St. James Lutheran School and was confirmed and married at St. James Lutheran Church. Sophie was a member of the Bergholtz Historical Society. She was the wife of the late Gerhard Schultz, who died in 1979. Beloved mother of David John (Grace) Schultz of Huntsville, AL, Robert Albert (Judy) Schultz of Jamestown, NY, Peter Gerhard (Joanne) Schultz of Fairport, Linda Ann (Lee) Ruk of North Tonawanda and the late Mariam Louise. Grandmother of eight grandchildren; two step-grand- children and 10 great-grandchildren. MILLEVILLE – Rosina Magdalena Milleville (nee Ferchen), 92, of the Town of Wheatfield, Tuesday (Sept. 7, 1976) at the Grand Island Nursing Home. Mrs. Milleville was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and a life member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Wife of the late Albert Milleville, who died in 1931, she is survived by two sons, Gerhard W. and Albert E. Milleville, both of the Town of Wheatfield; seven daughters, Mrs. Paul (Vera) Ferchen, Mrs. Elmer (Anna) Moll, Mrs. Arnold (Louise) Wendt, Mrs. Gerhard (Sophia) Schultz and Miss Rose E. Milleville, all of the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Paul (Mabel) Klemm of Woonsocket, So. Dakota and Mrs. Howard (Judith) Stroble of Cardington, OH; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Haseley of the Town of Lewiston.
The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening from 7 to 9 and Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. John Milleville

John Milleville, 80 years old, one of the pioneer settlers of the town of
Wheatfield, dropped dead at his home in Bergholtz, a suburb of this city,
yesterday afternoon. Heart disease is attributed as the cause of death.
The deceased was born in Germany and came here 55 years ago, locating in
Wheatfield. Three daughters, Mrs. William Schmidt, Mrs. Christian Ferchen
and Mrs. Fred Devantier; three sons, John, William and Albert Milleville,
all of Bergholtz; three sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Pfuhl, Mrs. William Haseley
and Mrs. Albert Walck and four brothers, August, William, Ferdinand and
Albert Williams all of the town of Wheatfield, survive. The funeral will be
held from the late home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and a half hour
later from the Grabau Lutheran church at Bergholtz. Burial will be at
Bergholtz.

Mrs. Anna D. Ferchen, 61 years old, wife of John Ferchen of Bergholtz, died at the family home Thursday night. Mrs. Ferchen was born in Bergholtz, and lived there all her life. Besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Mrs. Albert Milleville, and Mrs. Albert Dubois; four sons, Henry, John, Philip and Edward Ferchen of Bergholtz; and three brothers, Henry Voelker of Bergholtz, Fred Voelker of Chicago and Philip C. Voelker of LeValley, Canada, survive. The funeral will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later from the Grabau Lutheran Church at Bergholtz. Burial will be made in Bergholtz.
