    Calvin Herbert DuBois, age 64 of Sanborn, NY, was called to his heavenly home on September 17, 2021 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 29, 1956; son of the late Herbert and Emily (Walck) DuBois. A graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, and Alfred State Technical College. Calvin was employed with the Carpenters Local 276, until his retirement. He was a life long active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Chruch, Sanborn, where he served as a reader, trustee, church school picnic committee, and anytime something needed to be repaired, he was there. Calvin was also a member of the Sanborn Fire Company Band, Sanborn Business Men's Bowling, and the 3F Club of Youngstown. In his younger years, he was on the church league basket ball team, church bowling, and floor hockey. He enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, hunting, snowmobiling, and vacations at the camp in Allegany State Park. Survivors include his wife, Lisa M. (Heard) DuBois. They were married May 30, 1981; two children, Danielle E. (Seth) Ardrey of Ft. Collins, and Jeffrey C DuBois (Fiance Liz Warkentin) of Sanborn; a brother, Douglas (Barb) DuBois; and many brother and sister in laws; nieces, nephews, and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Tuesday, September 21, from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, on Wednesday, September 22 , at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, or Niagara Hospice.

    WHEATFIELD - Herbert A. DuBois, 70, of Maple Drive, died Sunday (Apri1 16, 1995) at his residence after a lengthy illness. The Niagara Falls native was born May 15, 1924, the son of Albert and Christine (Ferchen) DuBois.
    A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451.
    Mr. DuBois was employed at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls as a millwright for 41 years. He retired in 1987.
    He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire County, a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    He was predeceased by his first wife, Emily (Walck) DuBois, who died on Feb. 3, 1980. Mr. DuBois is survived by his second wife, Ardis (Haseley) DuBois of Wheatfield; two sons, Douglas DuBois of Amherst and Calvin DuBois of Sanborn; a stepson, Gary Wolf of Wheatfield; a step-daughter, Barbara Savard of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Arthur DuBois of Wheatfield and Walter DuBois of Niagara Falls; two sisters, Eleanor Wienke of Wheatfield and Elizabeth Heuer of Bergholz; a granddaughter; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Minnie Camann, Ruth Hassan, William DuBois and Edwin DuBois. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz, where the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a, memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ronald Majeroni will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.     3 at 3 p.m. when Miss Emily Walck.

    at the double ring ceremony.
    Mr! Paul Mehls. soloist, sang, "Oh
    Promise Me," "Jesus Lead The Way."
    and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied
    by Mr. Eggers.at the organ.
    The bride, who was given In marriage
    by her father, was attractively
    attired in a gown of white slipper
    satin, fashioned with a fitted
    bodice and a long slowing train.
    The high neckline and long sleeves
    were Inserted with lace. Her full
    length veil fell from clusters of orange
    blossoms. She carried a.bouquet
    of white roses centered with
    an orchid and tied with white
    streamers.
    Little Janet Pfohl, niece of the
    bride, and Karen Du Bols, niece of
    the groom, were flower girls. They
    wore short dresses of green dotted
    swiss and carried tiny baskets of
    mixed flowers.
    Miss June Haseley, maid of honor,
    wore a taffeta gown of orchid styled
    on princess lines. The hoop skirt
    was caught with dainty bows which
    formed a scalloped edge. She carried
    a bouquet of yellow roses.
    Mrs. Arthur Heuer and Miss Lorraine
    Wendt were the bridesmaids.
    They wore gowns of green and
    yellow taffeta, respectively. They
    carried bouquets of pink and yellow
    roses. All the attendants wore
    headpieces and gauntlets to match
    their gowns.
    Mr. Warren E. Camann was best
    man and Mr. Walter Du Bols and
    Mr. Benjamin Walck, Jr., were
    ushers.
    A dinner for 75 guests was served
    at the Plantation restaurant followed
    by a reception at the home of
    the bride.
    After a wedding trip to Washington,
    D. C, Mr. and Mrs. Du Bols
    will be at home at Lockport road.
    For traveling, the bride wore a
    green print dress with brown accessories
    and an orchid corsage.

    Mrs. DuBois Dies at 76 In Hospital
    WHEATFIELD-Mrs. Anna Christine DuBois, 2363 Niagara Road, a lifelong resident here, died today (March 6, 1965) at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She Was 76.
    She was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
    Surviving are five sons, Arthur and Herbert DuBois, of the Town of Wheatfield, Edwin DuBois, Town of Niagara, and William A. and Walter E. DuBois, both of Niagara Falls; three daughters. Mrs. Herbert (Eleanor) Wienke, Mrs. Leonard (Ruth) Hassen and Mrs. Arthur (Elizabeth) Heuer, all of Wheatfield; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Haseley, Town of Lewiston, Mrs. Rosina Milleville of Wheatfield; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda and at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church by Rev. Albert Bahr, pastor. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
    The family said that contributions to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church building fund are acceptable as tribute.

    SANBORN - Benjamin A. Walck, 88, of 2595 Lockport Road, died Thursday (Jan. 23, 1975) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
    A life-long resident of Sanborn, he had operated a farm on Lockport Road for most of his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and had served as an elder at the church.
    He is survived by his wife, Laura (Wendt) Walck of this town; two daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Norma) Pfohl and Mrs. Herbert (Emily) DuBois, both of this town; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Allen and Benjamin C. Walck.
    Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, with the Rev. Harold L Baum officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

    old, died last night at his home on the
    Niagara Falls boulevard at La Salle
    after a lingering illness. He was born
    in Germany. He came to America fifty
    three years ago and lived in the town
    of Niagara for the past forty-six years.
    Surviving are one son, Albert Dubois
    of La Salle; three daughters. Mrs. A
    C. Walck of La Salle. Mrs. F. Hasely
    of Lewiston and Mrs. William Hasely
    of Cambria; nineteen grandchildren
    and nine great grandchildren. The fu-
    neral will be held Friday afternoon at

    Mrs. Anna D. Ferchen
    Mrs. Anna D. Ferchen, 61 years old, wife of John Ferchen of Bergholtz, died at the family home Thursday night. Mrs. Ferchen was born in Bergholtz, and lived there all her life. Besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Mrs. Albert Milleville, and Mrs. Albert Dubois; four sons, Henry, John, Philip and Edward Ferchen of Bergholtz; and three brothers, Henry Voelker of Bergholtz, Fred Voelker of Chicago and Philip C. Voelker of LeValley, Canada, survive. The funeral will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later from the Grabau Lutheran Church at Bergholtz. Burial will be made in Bergholtz.

    Funeral Services for Mrs. A. Walck
    Prominent Sanborn Woman Laid to Rest Wednesday.
    SANBORN, Feb. 7. - The funeral of Mrs. Albertina (sic) Walck, age 82, widow of the late Frederick Walck, was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p. m. from St. Peter's church at Walmore. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward Retzlaff, and three sons, Fred, John and Benjamin Walck, all of Walmore. Mrs. Walck was born in Germany and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Zimmerman. when only ten weeks old, and has resided in this vicinity all her life. The bearers were William Devanticr, Jr., August Walck, Felix Walck, Elmer Kroening, William Walck Jr., and Alton Wendt. Rev. Edward Graubau (sic) officiated and burial was at Walmore cemetery.

    Pioneer Resident Is Laid to Rest
    SANBORN, Feb. 23-The funeral of William F. Wendt, 76, who died Saturday at his home in Saunder's (sic) Settlement road, was held from the home yesterday at 2:30 p. m. and at St. Peter's church, at Walmore, at 3 o'clock and was attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends.
    The bearers included: Ben Wendt, Philip Wendt, Robert Wendt, Edwin Beutel. Rudolph Beutel and William Beutel. Flower bearers were Donald Wendt, Merwyn (sic), Wendt, Ben Walck, Jr., and Lawrence Walck. The Rev. Edward A. Graubau (sic) was the officiating Clergyman. Interment was in St. Peter's cemetery, Walmore.

    Wilhelm married BEUTEL, Emilie Helene on 9 Jan 1890 in Sanborn, Niagara County, NY.     Mrs. Wm. Wendt. Daughter of Wm. Beutel and his wife Henrietta, née Fahrnwald. Born Mar 19, 1870. Attended our Christian Day School. Confirmed may 14, 1883, by Pastor John Grabau. Jan 9, 1890 married to Wm. Wendt, who died Feb 19, 1938, had 5 children. Right after marriage, moved to Detroit Mich, there until 1901, then moved to present home of Alton Wendt, near Sanborn where she died. Jan. 3 lapsed into a coma and fell asleep Sun. morning Jan 7 (at) 3:25. Survivors: 3 sons, Alton and Wm. of Sanborn, Arnold of Bergholz; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ben Wendt Sr. of Sanborn and Mrs. Edna Walck of Median; 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Suffered from hardening of the arteries which it seems weakened her brain and affected her mind, this was already apparent about 15 yrs. ago, but was serious only in the past 6 yrs. or so. Was taken care of in home of her son Alton. Whole service was in Eng. Text: Is. 55:6-9
