Sanborn - Sigmund J. Pfohl 66, of 2115 Lockport Rd died Wednesday May 29, 1968 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Sanborn and had been employed as a stock clerk at the Carborundum Co. He was a member of St Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walmore Road.
Surviving are his wife Christine Pfohl, a daughter Sylvia Dobbertean, Niagara Falls, a son Edgar John Pfohl, this city, a granddaughter, Nancy Dobbertean, two brothers, Louis and max Pfohl, Sanborn, and five sisters, Mrs Philip Kroening, Mrs. Jonas Haseley, Mrs. Mervin Haseley, Mrs. Marcus Haseley, and Mrs. Edwin Werth.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 PM at St Peter's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gerald E. Scheck officiating. Burial will be at St Peter's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn. The family will be present from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

The marriage of Christine F. Haseley,
daughter of Edward L Haseley,
of the Saunders Settlement road., to
Slgmund J. Pfohl, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Pfohl, of Sanborn, was solemnized
Thursday at-St, Peter's Lutheran
church, Walmore, ai 4:30
o'clock. Officiating: at the service
was the Rev. John Pfohl, of North
Freedon, Wis., brother of the groom,
aassisted by the Rev. Edward Grabau,
pastor of St. Peter's church, Walmore.
The church was attractively decorated
with lilies and lilacs. Miss Elizabeth
Williams, of Lockport. cousin of
the bride, played appropriate organ
music during the ceremony. Miss
Martha Williams, cousin of the bride,
was maid of honor and wore a gown
of pink mousseline de sole, trimmed
with lace. Her bouquet,was of pink
snapdragons and blue larkspur, tied
with a blue ribbon. Louis Pfohl,
brother of the groom, acted as best
man.
Ruth Elaine Haseley, niece of t he
bride, was flower girl, wearing pink
dotted swlss and carrying a colonial
bouquet of mixed flowers.: Miss Ver-
one and Miss Lizzie Pfohl, sisters of
the groom were bridesmaids and both
wore light blue mousseline de sole
trimmed like that of the maid of hon-
or. They carried bouquets of snapr
dragons and larkspur, tied with pink
ribbon. Each wore a rosebud spray on
her hair.
The bride wore silk mousseline with
a long train. It was fashioned on
Princess lines, with a satin slip and
with a collar of ruffling trimmed with
orang© blossoms. The long veil fell
from a becoming cap of. braided tulle
and was caught with orange blossoms.
She carried a bouquet of white Bride
roses and sweet peas.
Immediately following the ceremony,
an Informal reception and dinner
for 125 guests were held at the
home of the bride. Among those attending
were Miss Elizabeth Mitchell
and Miss Esther Williams, this city,
and Mrs. A. E. Willams, Mr. and Mrs.
W. F. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. A. P.
Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Robert A.
Williams, Miss Elizabeth Williams and
Paul Voigt, all of Lockport.

Born Sept 16, 1873, in Town of Wheatfield (Walmore) NY., baptized by Rev. von Rohr, confirmed April. 3, 1887 by Rev. J. N. Grabau; married Eleonore Fahrenwald Jan 26, 1899, by Rev. H. Mackensen. (He was the son of Ferdinand Pfohl and Auguste nee Milleville. Wife died in June 1947. Was a lifelong and very faithful member. Served many years on church council, sang in choir, assisted the pastor by reading sermons in services occasionally. In 1915, was a member of building committee for the present church building; good health all his life. Was in church last Sunday of his life. Survivors: 4 sons, Sigmund, John (in WI. is an A. L. C. pastor, ordained in 1928). Louis, Max; 5 daughters, Martha (Mrs. Jonas Haseley), Verone (Mrs. Mervin Haseley), Lizzie (Mrs. Marcus Haseley), Eleonore (Mrs. Gilbert Goeseke) of Akron, Erie County, NY, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Cause of death (sudden), heart trouble, I believe. [the oldest daughter, Minnie Mrs. Philip Kroening, was omitted as a survivor]

Last Rites Held for Mrs. John Pfohl
WALMORE June 21 - The funeral of Mrs John Pfohl, 70, of the Walmore Road was held held Tuesday afternoon at St Peter's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband John and nine children, Rev. John Pfohl of North Freedom. Wisc. Sigmund Pfohl, Niagara Falls. Mrs. Philip Kroening. Mrs Jonas Haseley. Mrs. Marcus Haseley, all of Sanborn. Louis, Max, Eleonore and Mrs. Mervin Haseley, at home. The bearers were Hubert Pfohl, Rudolf Walck, William Walck, Philip Haseley, Eric Haseley, and Harvey Haseley. The flower bearers were Rudolph Kroening, Herman Kroening, Esther Kroening and John Haseley. The Rev. Edward Grabau officiated. Burial was in Walmore cemetery.

She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral at the home, Lockport Rd., Sanborn. Friday, Mar. 19, at 2 p.m. and 2:30 in St. Peter's Church, Walmore, Rev. Old Resident of Sanborn Passes
SANBORN. N. Y.- Mrs. Henriette M. Haseley Fahrnwald. 91 years old, widow of August Fahrnwald, died last evening at the family home, Lockport road, after a short Illness. Mrs. Fahrnwald was born in the town of Lewiston and had been a resident of Niagara county all her life. Her husband, a successful farmer, died many years ago. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore and in former years was active in its organizations. Mrs. Fahrnwald is survived by two sons, Fred and Phillip Fahrnwald, at home, one daughter, Mrs. John Pfohl, of Sanborn; one sister, Mrs. Albertina Walck. of Sanborn, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Lockport road home on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate. Internment will be in Walmore cemetery.
