Dies at Age 88
A resident of this city for 56
years, Albert Gottlob Wendt, 88.
of 2120 Ontario Ave., died at his
home Saturday (Oct. 12, 1957)
after a long illness.
Born in Walmore, Mr. Wendt
came to this city in 1901 and for
35 years was employed as a car-
penter at the Electric Auto-Lite
Corp., retiring in 1937.
He was a member of the Brotherhood
of St. Paul's Evangelical
Lutheran Church.
Surviving are bis daughter, Mrs.
George A. Stremble and two
grandchildren, Carol.and Albert J.
Stremble, this:city.
Funeral services wilt be held
tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.at the
home with the Rev. Evan J. Bartell,
pastor of St. Pauls Evangelical
Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter's
Lutheran Cemetery, Walmore.

Widely Known 81-year-old Niagara County Native Passes Here
Mrs. Ottilie Haseley. 81-year-old, native and lifelong resident of Niagara county, died at her home. 1820 Pierce Avenue last night. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 pm Saturday with services at St Peter's Lutheran Church Walmore, at 3:15 pm The Rev Edward Grabau will officiating. Burial will be in St Peters cemetery Walmore Born in the town of Niagara, Mrs Haseley lived on farms in the Lockport, Tuscarora, and Saunders Settlement roads before coming to Niagara Falls 18 years ago. She was a devoted member of St. Peter's church In Walmore. Her husband, the late William D. Haseley. died eight years ago. She is survived by four sons, Christ P. of Newfane: Elmer, of Lockport: Victor H. of North Tonawanda, and Wilbur P. of this city, and five daughters. DAVID HASLEY.
David Hasley, a highly respected resident of Walmore, and whose age was 82 years, died Wednesday night. A large family survive. The funeral will be observed on Sunday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Walmore.

Maillefert, Wilhelmine Caroline Maria Additional information: Survived by her elderly father and five daughters: Mrs Maria Linken, Mrs Magdal. William, Auguste (unmarried), Mrs Ottilie Haseley, Mrs Wilhelmine Haseley and 11 grandchildren. The question mark after Rheumatism appears in the Burial entry. There is also a lengthy “Remark” entered. "She was born in Prenzlau, Uckermark on January 5, 1832. Her parents were Samuel Maillefert (a cloth maker by profession) and his wife Wilhelmine Gefroy, who predeceased her daughter. Wilhelmine was Confirmed on Rogate Sunday [the Fifth Sunday after Easter, or April 27, 1845] in Buffalo by Pr. Grabau. She was married to Christ Wendt in Walmore on October 20, 1848. He died in 1873. She was Baptized in the French Church in Prenzlau by Pr. Paskel.
