    PENDLETON - Former Niagara County Legislator and Town Justice Gordon L. Haseley, a dairy farmer and lifelong Pendleton resident, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was 83.
    Mr. Haseley was a self-employed dairy farmer on the family's 200-acre Lockport Road farm until the early 1970s. He also was a life-fire-casualty insurance agent, stock broker, certified state nurseryman and landscaper. He served on the boards of the Dairy Council of Western New York, the Niagara County Milk Producers, the state Fish and Wildlife Management Service and the Sea Grant Lake Ontario advisory council.
    He also was active in local civic affairs. He was founding chairman of the first Town of Pendleton Planning Board, served on the Pendleton Town Board in 1960, and as town justice from the late 1950s until 1970. He was a Niagara County legislator from 1970 to 1976, and a member of the Starpoint School Board for a decade after his legislative service.
    Mr. Haseley was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where he had served as treasurer, trustee and elder. He was a member of the New York State Magistrates Association, Tonawanda Sportsmans Club, Lions Club, and the Farm Bureau. He was a charter member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, and a member of NASDAQ and the 4-H.
    "After he got out of dairy farming, he did his stone mason work, but I think he was really [most] proud of being on the Sea Grant board," said his daughter, Holly O'Connor. He helped Sea Grant with development strategies and environmental issues along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway, O'Connor said. She said her father also enjoyed being a town justice.
    His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening.
    His first wife, of 19 years, the former Helen Thiele, died in 1968. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Alice R. Widzinski; six children, Peter of Germany, Holly O'Connor of Chicago, Nancy Haseley of Las Vegas, Thaddeus M. Piechalak of Cheektowaga, Paul Piechalak of Buffalo and Gary Piechalak of Lancaster; a brother, Louis of Holiday, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Hijazi of Carlsbad, Calif., and Ruth Berger of Annapolis, MD.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Martin Lutheran Church, 322 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst

    Town Justice's Wife Dies at 41
    NORTH TONAWANDA -Mrs. Helen Thiele Haseley, 41 of 4202 Lockport Road, Lockport, whose husband Gordon is town justice in Pendleton, died Sunday (Dec. 1, 1968) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after an illness of a year. Born in this city, she was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church.
    In addition to her husband survivors include a son, Peter, and two daughters, Holley and Nancy, all at home; a brother, Henry Thiele and three sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Janette) Hartman, Miss Olga Thiele, and Mrs. Paul (Irene) Barrett, all of this city.
    Friends may call today and Tuesday at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., here, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Martin Lutheran Church. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Martin's Lutheran church. Miss
    Helen Marguerite Thiele, daughter
    of Mrs. Helena Thiele and the late
    Henry Thiele, ST., Shawnee road,
    was united in marriage to Mr. Gordon
    Louis Haseley. son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Louis Haseley, Lockport road.
    The Rev, Theophllus Berner officiated.
    The bride was lovely u she walked
    down the aisle alone, wearing
    a gown of chantllly lace, fashioned
    princess style. The fitted bodice
    with a sweetheart neckline was
    embroidered with bugle beads and
    pearls With tiny buttons extending
    'from the neckline to the dropped
    waistline. She carried a orescent
    of gardenias centered -with an orchid.
    Miss Irene Thiele, sister of the
    bride, was maid of honor wearing
    desert green velveteen with sweetheart
    neckline. She carried a heart
    shaped bouquet of baby mums, yellow-
    daisies and talisman roses. In
    magenta rose velveteen were the
    three bridesmaids, Miss Phyllis
    Bracken, Miss Ruth Haseley and
    Miss Melva Sattelberg. They carried
    heart shaped bouquets.
    Miss Jean Swetland, soloist, of
    New York City, was accompanied
    by Mrs. Ada Prohaska, organist.
    Following the ceremony, a wed-
    ding dinner was served to 200 guests
    In the church dining room. . A reception
    followed at .the home of
    the bride's mother.
    Later In the evening the bride
    and groom left for a wedding trip
    motoring to Mexico and through
    the south. Upon their return the
    couple will make' their home with
    the groom's parents until the completion
    of their new home In the
    Lockport road, Lockport.

    Louis F. Haseley, Pendleton resident, succumbs at 85
    Louis F. Haseley, who would have celebrated his 86th birthday July 30, died yesterday in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Mr Haseley lived at 419H Lockport Road. He was a long-time Niagara County resident. Mr and Mrs Haseley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 19B7, the same year in which he became 80 years old. His birthday then was an occasion for a family reunion, with four of their six children returning from abroad and various parts of the country for the celebration. In addition to his wife, Mr Haseley is survived by two sons, Gordon Haseley of Pendleton and the Rev. Louis C Haseley of Valley Stream, L.I.; and four daughters, Lydia Haseley of Lockport, Mrs. Ihsan Hijazi of Beirut, Lebanon; Mabel Haseley of Chicago, and Mrs Wayne Berger of Kansas City, Mo He was the brother of Erie J Haseley of the Town of Niagara and Mrs Hugo Walck of the Town of Wheatfield Sixteen grandchildren also survive.     Mrs. Laura Haseley
    PENDLETON - Mrs. Laura Haseley, 81, of 4196 Lockport Rd., died Friday (Feb. 25, 1977) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
    She was a native of the Town of Lewiston, and resided here for 57 years. She was a member of St. Peter's American Lutheran Church Women.
    She was the wife of the late Louis F. Haseley who died in 1973. She is survived by two sons, Gordon of Lockport and the Rev. Louis C. Haseley of Valley Stream, N.Y.; four daughters, Lydia Haseley of Lockport, Mrs. Ihsan (Mildred) Hijazi of Beirut, Lebanon, Mabel Haseley of Chicago and Mrs. Wayne Ruth) Berger of Washington, D.C., and 16 grandchildren.
    She was the mother of the late Arnold Haseley.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating.
    Burial will be in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

    Haseley Will Is Filed For Probate
    The will of Carl E. Haseley, late of Walmore, was filed with Surrogate Norman D. Fish at Lockport yesterday for probate. The estate is valued at upwards of $7,000 in personal property and $8,000 in real estate. The will is to be probated on February 2. Attorney E. B. Harrington is counsel for the family. The widow and six children are the heirs. Haseley died on January 9.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Louis Belling, Mrs. William Schwarzenholz and Mrs. Earl Johnson; four sons, Robert, Adolph, William and Henry Thiele; thirteen grand children, one great grandchild, a sister, Mrs. J. G. Kuehn of Rutherford, N. J. and a brother, Fred Walck of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour later at St. Martin's church. Rev. Theo. Berner officiating. Burial will be in the St. Martin's cemetery.

    Schroeder Rites Sunday, October 6
    WHEATFIELD, Oct. 4 - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Schroeder, 78, who died yesterday at her home, Niagara Falls boulevard, will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. from the home and at 2:30 from St. Mark's church. Interment will be in Messing cemetery.
    Mrs. Schroeder is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Charles Mittelstaedt and Mrs. Henry Thiele, of Wheatfield, and Mrs. Herman B. Sommer, of North Tonawanda; one son, William Schroeder, of Wheatfield; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Keppler and Mrs. Ernest Beutel, of St. Paul, MN, and three brothers, Rev, Albert and August Haseley, of St. Paul. Minn., and Frederick Haseley of Walmore.
