    NIAGARA FALLS — Howard Edward Phillip Walck, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the age of 94, in Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on December 30,1917, the son of the late Felix and Agatha (Retzlaff) Walck.

    Howard attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and church where he served as a Trustee. He graduated from Cornell Agricultural School. Howard was the co-owner and operator of the former Walck's Dairy from 1935 until 1971. He then worked with the Niagara County Highway Department until his retirement. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida, where he was a member and elder of the Christ Lutheran Church and his summers at his cottage in Canada. Howard enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards with his dear friends.

    He was the husband of the late Lillian (Retzlaff) Walck, they were married in June of 1939, she predeceased him on April 26, 1978. Howard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Hough) Walck. They where married on May 17, 1979. Three sons, Howard (Shirley), Douglas (Susan), Dennis (Judy) Walck; eight grandchildren, Brent (Andrea), Bruce (Jennifer) Walck, Jennifer (Curt) Muma, Craig (Jessica), Ashleigh and Phillip Walck, Kari (Rob) Corsaro, Adam (Amber) Walck; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alyssa and Robbie; one sister, Jennis (late Harold) Pankow; three step-sons, Gordon (Linda), Steven (Gabrielle) and Peter (Lori) Hough; four-step grandchildren, Andrew (Lee) Hough, Michelle (Jayson) Millson, Kyle and Benn Hough; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Abigail and Isabelle Hough; also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Bruce Walck.

    Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday at 1:30 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials maybe made in his name to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or School, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Inurnment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    SANBORN - Lillian M. Walck, 61, of 2251 Lockport Road died Wednesday (April 26, 1978) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
    She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn and had been an active member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    She and her husband, Howard E. Walck, were the former operators of Walck's Farm Diary in Niagara Falls.
    In addition to her husband survivors include three sons, Howard C. Walck and Douglas Walck, both of Niagara Falls, and Dennis Walck of Sanborn, one sister, Mrs. Irwin (Ruth) Walck of Sanborn and four grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at SI. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Horne, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the family said.

    talned at a variety shower in honor

    of Miss Lillian Retzloff and Howard
    Walck, whose marriage takes place
    Sunday, June 4. Games were
    played during the evening and
    prizes awarded to Martha Haseley,
    Jennies Walck. Mrs. Marcus Haseley
    and Irma Haseley. At 11 o'clock a
    delicious lunch was served. The
    guests of honor received many use-
    ful gifts.

    The marriage of Miss Lillian Martha

    Retzloff, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. Rudolph Retzloff, of Sanborn, to
    Howard Edward Walck, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Felix Walck, of this city,
    was solemnized last Sunday afternoon
    at St. Peter's Lutheran church,
    Walmore. The Rev. Edward Grabau
    officiated at the double ring ceremony.
    The church was beautifully decorated
    with ferns and cut flowers.
    The bride entered on the arm of her
    father to the strains of the wedding
    march from Lohengrin. She wore
    a gown of white slipper satin cut
    on princess lines. Her veil was of
    tulle.trimmed with lace falling from
    a crown of seeded orange blossoms.
    She carried an arm bouquet of
    sweetheart roses, baby's breath and
    delphinium, from which fell white
    satin ribons tied with lilies-of-the
    valley.
    Mrs. Irwin Walck, of Sanborn, sis-
    ter of the bride, was matron of hon-

    lace with a Jacket trimmed with
    tulle and pink satin bows. Her bouquet
    was of pink roses, delphinium
    and baby's breath, tied with a large
    blue satin bow.
    The maid of honor, Miss Jennies
    Walck, sister of the groom, wore
    a gown of pale pink Swiss silk organdie
    with white figures. It had a
    jacket trimmed with tulle and blue
    satin bows She carried an arm bouquet
    similar to that of the maid of
    honor, with a pink satin bow to
    match her gown.
    Miss Janis Jagow, cousin of the
    bride, was bridesmaid, she wore a
    gown of canary yellow similar to
    that of the matron of honor. Her
    bouquet was tied with a yellow
    satin bow.
    Irvin Walck was best man. Melvin
    Walck and Edward Jagow, Jr., also
    were Arthur DuBois and William
    Schul.
    The bride's mother wore a black
    silk georgette dress with white fig-
    ures and a corsage of pink roses
    and sweer peas. The groom's moth-
    er wore a dress of blue figures silk
    georgette. She also wore a corsage
    of pink roses and sweetpeas. The
    groom's grandmother was gowned
    in a dress of white and black flow-
    ered crepe.
    After the wedding a reception and
    dinner was held at the bride's home.
    The table was centered with a five-
    tier wedding cake. Out-of-town
    guests included several from Cleve-
    land and Buffalo.
    Mr. and Mrs. Walck left on an
    extended wedding trip to the New
    Work World's Fair.
    Pre-nuptial affairs included a va-
    riety shower given by Mr. and Mrs.
    Irwin Walck; a variety shower given
    by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DuBois and
    a variety shower given by Miss Jen-
    nies Walck.

    Charles Llewellyn Horton of 2204 Ontario Ave. died Saturday (Nov. 6, 1982) - his 76th birthday - in Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
    Born in Newfane, Horton came to Niagara Falls in 1905. He was owner-operator of Horton's Falls Dairy for many years, retiring in 1972. The dairy was started by his father and mother, the late Charles T. and Rose Horton.
    He was a life member of BPO Elks 346 and the American Legion John J. Welch post.
    Horton is survived by his wife Marian Lilley Horton; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas B. (Susan) Walck; and three grandchildren, all of Niagara Falls.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave., with the Rev. Herbert Maxwell of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane.
    Memorial contributions to the Niagara Oncology Association, in care of Dr. Todd Wallens, 620 10th St., Niagara Falls, are acceptable as tribute.

    F. P. Walck, Dairyman, Dies at 75
    Felix P. Walck, 75, of 1627 Michigan Ave., died at his home Friday (May 8, 1964) following a two year illness.
    He was born in the Town of Wheatfield March 20, 1889, the son of Phillip and Marie Haseley Walck.
    He owned a farm on the Walmore Road until 1943, when he moved to Niagara Falls, where he had operated a dairy since 1935. Mr. Walck was a lifelong member of St Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. He was a former church trustee and a charter member of the church brotherhood. He was a charter member and an exempt member of the Bergholtz Fire Co. and a member of the Niagara Falls Milk Council. He is survived by his widow. Agatha Auguste Retz1aff Walck; a son, Howard F. Walck, of Sanborn; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Jennis) Pankow, of Niagara Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Haseley and Mrs. Hubert R. Haseley, both of Sanborn; two brothers, Philippineslip Wa1ck, of Sanborn, and Paul Walck, of Niagara Falls and five grandchildren, Services will be conducted at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore at 3 p.m. Monday by Rev. Donald G, Rehkopf. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-3 p.m. The family will be present at Pike and Jones Funeral Home, Hoover Road, Sanborn. from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family said that donations to the Lutheran Vespers or St Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund will be acceptable as tributes.
