    OBITUARY

    Ronald W. Kroening of  the Town of Cambria, passed away on  Monday, July 12, 2021,  at home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.   He was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on June 1, 1949, a son of the late Raymond C. and Rose A. [Zastrow] Kroening.
    Mr. Kroening was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
    He is survived by his wife of 47 years,  Sandra L. [Travers] Kroening, two sons Jeffrey and Timothy (Rachel) Kroening, two daughters Rebecca (William) Davis and Katherine (John) Northam, six grandchildren Abigail, Emily, Mason, Reagan, Bryce and Colton, two brothers David (Sue) and Mark (Donna) Kroening, two sisters-in-law of Janelle and Debbie Kroening, also many nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Kroening was the brother of the late Donald and Gary Kroening.
    Private funeral services were held at the wishes of his family.
    Memorials may be made in his name to St. John's Lutheran School.

    RANSOMVILLE — Rose A. Kroening, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. She was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on February 2, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Arline (Jacobs) Zastrow. Mrs. Kroening was employed at Mt. View Health Facility for many years. She was a volunteer with LADD in Niagara Falls and was a member of the Ladies Aide at St. Andrew's Church. Mrs. Kroening enjoyed gardening around her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. Kroening, who died in October of 1980.

    Mrs. Kroening is survived by three sons, Ronald (Sandra) Kroening, David (Sue) Kroening and Mark (Donna) Kroening, all of Ransomville, NY; two daughters-in-law, Janelle Kroening and Debbie Kroening; one sister, Doris Tudor. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Donald and Gary Kroening, sister of the late Chester, Robert, LeRoy and Willard Zastrow.

    The family will be present on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn, NY, with Rev. R. Peter Vogeler officiating. Flower are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Andrew Church. Interment at St. Andrew Lutheran, Town of Cambria, NY.

    Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Elderwood at Wheatfield.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 25, 1929, a daughter of the late George and Maud (Shuman)  Maggs. Mrs. Travers was a nurse at Mt. View Nursing Home and a church musician, most recently at Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin. Mrs. Travers  was the wife of the late Stephen D. Travers, who passed away in 1985. She is survived by her children Sandra (late Ronald) Kroening, Sherry (Gary) Warchocki and Mark (Patricia) Travers, ten grandchildren Jeffrey Kroening, Timothy (Rachel) Kroening, Rebecca (William) Davis, Katherine (John) Northam, Jessica (Christopher) Witulski, Ryan (Jenny) Warchocki, Matthew Warchocki, Elizabeth Travers, Cassandra (Eric) Sognefest and Stephen Travers, ten great grandchildren, two brothers Phillip (late Diane) Maggs and Will (Judy) Maggs, one sister Virginia (late James) Doyle, also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Travers was the sister of the late Russell (Kay), Richard (Dorothy) and Gerald (Joyce) Maggs. Everyone is invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM  at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn, NY with Rev. Kurt D. Schultz officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. Interment at St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
