    Notes:

    Harry A. Kroening, 88, of Sanborn, NY was called to his heavenly home on Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in the Town of Lewiston, on June 6, 1927, the son of the late Elmer and Elsie [Walck] Kroening.

    Mr. Kroening owned a dairy farm and was later employed with the Operating Engineers Local 463 for over 30 years, before retiring in 1989. He was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church for the past 83 years, holding several offices. He was an exempt member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company.

    Mr. Kroening built his own home as well as a cabin in the Southern Tier. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, gardening and woodworking.

    Mr. Kroening was the husband of 63 years to the late Jeanette [Beutel] Kroening, who died on April 30, 2010. He is survived by his children Joyce Kroening, Daniel (Lois) Kroening, Carl (Donna) Kroening, Lee (Debra) Kroening, Diane (Michael) Sweet and Donna Kroening, thirteen grandchildren, Alicia (Ryan), Jeremy (Kerry), Justin (Aleasha), Andrew, Matthew, Rachel, Michelle (Thomas), Ashley, Lauren, Jessica, Jennifer, Kristina (Robert) and Joseph, two step-grandchildren, Teresa and Gina (Mario), two great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Eli, four step-great-grandchildren, Anthony, Julian, Nico and Jada, one brother Martin (Shirly) Kroening, two sisters Hazel (late Alfred) Haseley and Doris (Dennis) DeVantier, and a sister-in-law June Kroening. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the father of the late Jean and Lynn Kroening and brother of the late John, Raymond (late Rose) and Herbert (late Jeanette) Kroening.
    His family will be present on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral Services on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin, with the Rev. R. Peter Vogeler officiating.

    Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Andrew Lutheran Church or to Niagara Hospice.

    Jeanette B. Kroening, 81, of Sanborn, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, April 30, 2010, at her residence, under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Jeanette was born November 1, 1928, in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, the daughter of the late Edwin and Alice (Williams) Beutel. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed flower gardening.
    Jeanette is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harry A. She was the wife of the late Edward Guenther who died in February of 2022.     SANBORN-Elmer F. Kroening, 67, of 4181 Upper. Mountain Road, prominent in civic and church affairs here and, chairman of the Planning Board in the Town of Cambria, died Friday (June 17, 1966) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, he was the son of the late Carl and Anna Pfohl Kroening. His wife, the former Elsie Walck Kroening, died in September of 1965, Mr. Kroening was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, a member of the Board of Elders, the Church Council, the Lutheran Laymen's League of Western New York, and a past trustee of the church. He also was an exempt member of the Pekin Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau Extension Service, a former director of the National Grape Cooperative and a former board member of the Starpoint Central School. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are five sons, John and Herbert, of Lockport; Raymond; of Ransomville, and Harry and Martin Kroening of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Haseley, Sanborn, and Mrs. Dennis DeVantier, of Bergholtz; a brother, Edward Kroening, of Sanborn, and 28 grandchildren.     SANBORN - Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer (Elsie) Kroening, 63, of 4181 Upper Mountain Road, were held today at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Pekin by Rev. LaVerne J. Fitch. Burial was in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
    Mrs. Kroening died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1965) in Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
    Surviving, besides her husband Elmer; are five sons, Martin and Harry Kroening of Sanborn, John and Herbert Kroening of Lockport, and Raymond Kroening of Ransomville; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Haseley of Sanborn and Mrs. Dennis DeVantier of Bergholtz. Also surviving are two brothers, Edward and Erwin Walck of Sanborn; two sisters, Mrs. William Walck and Mrs. Martin Pfohl of Sanborn; and 25 grandchildren. The family and friends were present at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home in Sanborn on Sunday and Monday.

    SANBORN - Edwin W. Beutel, 74, of 2427 Lockport Road, was pronounced dead on arrival today (July 9, 1974) in Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls, after an apparent heart attack at home.
    He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, residing at the same address all his life. He had been employed at the Kimberly Clark Corp. as a machine operator where he had worked for over 30 years prior to retiring in 1965.
    He is survived by his wife, Alice Beutel; seven sons, the Rev. Eugene Beutel of Neptune, N.J., Allen Beutel of San Diego, Calif., Kenneth Beutel of Sanborn, the Rev. LeRoy Beutel of Baltimore, Md., James Beutel and Edwin Beutel Jr., both of Sanborn, the Rev. Donald Beutel of Lockbourne, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Jarry (Jeannette) Kroening of Sanborn, Mrs. Beatrice Lane of Albany and Mrs. James (Audrey) Tierney of Stow, OH; a brother. Walter Beutel of Wheatfield; 34 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harold L. Baum will officiate.
    Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    The family will be present at the Rhoney Funeral Horne. Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

    Alice R. Beutel, 85, formerly of Lockport Road, died Monday (July 24, 1989) in the Niagara Lutheran Home, Buffalo.
    The former Alice R. Williams was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield until she moved to Buffalo four years ago. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Walmore and the church Women's Circle. She was a former member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    Her husband, Edwin W. Beutel, died in 1974.
    Survivors include seven sons, Dr. Eugene of Camp Hill, Pa., Dr. Allen of LaJolla, Calif., Kenneth of North Tonawanda, the Rev. LeRoy of Arlington, Va., the Rev. Donald of Baltimore, Edwin W.
