    FORT BLISS, Texas - Nicholas James Messina, 2 week old son of U.S. Army Lt. Michael A. and Michele (Beutel) Messina, of Fort Bliss, died Wednesday (Dec. 10, 1986) in Fort Bliss. He was born on Nov. 27, 1986, in EI Paso, Texas. His parents lived in Niagara Falls until Lt. Messina enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss in 1984. Beside his parents, he is survived by a brother, Michael Messina; a sister, Andrea Messina; maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Rhoney Funeral Home Inc., Sanborn, with the Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Walmore, N.Y.

    James L. Beutel, age 84 of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to his heavenly home, on January 7, 2021, after a brief illness, at his residence. He is now reunited with his much-loved wife, Pauline (Andrew) Beutel. Jim was born in Wheatfield, NY on September 28, 1936; son of the late Edwin and Alice (Williams) Beutel. He was a life-long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he held various roles. In his youth, he played basketball and track. He graduated from Trott Vocational & Technical High School, and was a past member of Cataract Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Jim served in the United States Army, worked at Kimberly Clarke and retired from Occidental Chemical Corporation in 2000. He remained socially active in retirement, working at the Maid of the Mist, Lane Funeral Home & Wagner’s Farm Market, where he worked for 69 years. Jim enjoyed playing cards, traveling & attending concerts with his wife, family & friends. He was an avid walker, and could out-walk many! Jim avidly followed sports & loved attending his grandchildren’s school, church & sports activities.Survivors include his loving children, Jacqueline (Andrew) Messer, Michele (Michael) Messina, Michael (Michelle) Beutel Sr., and Jon (Becky) Beutel; grandchildren, John and Thomas Messer, Andrea Messina Kinne (Adam), Philip & Anthony Messina, Michael Beutel Jr., Ashley Beutel (Kenny Campbell) & Andrew (Luisa) Beutel, Elizabeth and Emily Beutel; great-grandchildren, Nicholas & Nina Kinne, Philip O. Messina, Aubriella Campbell, Ivan Beutel, and a great-grandson expected early spring; siblings, Beatrice (late Bob) White, Rev. LeRoy (Thea) (late Sue) Beutel, Edwin (Janet) Beutel, Audrey (late Carl) Matarrese, Rev. Donald (late Helen) Beutel; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.Jim was predeceased by siblings Rev. Dr. Eugene (late Delores) Beutel, Alan (Pat) Beutel, Jeanette (late Harry) Kroening, Kenneth Beutel, and grandson, Nicholas James Messina.The family would like to thank all of the Caregivers who provided care to their father, especially Pat Beckett, Nicole Rowe at Elderwood Independent Living, and Hospice, all of whom assisted in making his passing peaceful.     NIAGARA FALLS — Pauline Beutel died on December 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She was the daughter of Alice Baes and James Andrew (predeceased) who had received the Purple Heart during WWII while serving in the US Army. Pauline grew up in Millersport and spent much of her childhood with her grandparents, Florence and Harry Andrew and Harriet and Charles Baes.

    Pauline was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn, NY and belonged to numerous clubs throughout her life. She led an active lifestyle and enjoyed traveling, listening to music and enjoyed entertaining. She was an avid roller skater and card player. Pauline was especially fond of her vacations to Disney World with her grandchildren. She hosted and catered many major events including wedding receptions, anniversary and birthday celebrations in her floral gardens. Pauline's culinary talents have been featured in the local newspapers and her pie recipes have been sought after for many years.

    Pauline is survived by her loving husband, James, of more than 53 years. They were blessed with four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Daughter, Jacqueline (Andrew) Messer; grandchildren John and Thomas Messer, Niagara Falls; Michele (Michael) Messina, Lockport; grandchildren, Andrea (Adam) Kinne, great-grandchild, Nicholas and Nina Kinne, West Virginia; 2nd Lt Philip Messina, Virginia and Anthony J. Messina, Lockport, NY; Michael (Michelle) Beutel, Gasport, NY; grandchildren, Michael Jr., of NYC, Ashley and Andrew, Gasport, NY; Jon (Becky) Beutel, Sanborn, NY; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emily. Pauline was predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Messina. Pauline has one surviving brother, Roger (Bud) Andrew; predeceased sister-in-law, Ann, Grand Island, NY. Loving sister-in-law of Mrs. Deloris Beutel (predeceased Rev. Eugene) Camp Hill, PA; Harry Kroening (predeceased Jeanette); Mrs. Beatrice White (Bob), Albany; Mrs. Patricia Beutel (predeceased Allan), San Diego; predeceased brother-in-law, Kenneth Beutel; Mr. Edwin Beutel, Jr. (Janet) of Sanborn, NY; Rev. LeRoy Beutel (Thea) Fredericksburg, VA; Mrs. Audrey Mataresse (Carl), Sun City, AZ; Rev Donald Beutel (predeceased Helen) of Baltimore, MD, and their families. In addition to her family, Pauline is survived by many dear and loyal friends.

    Pauline and her family would like to extend their gratitude to Niagara Hospice, Dr. Robert Bull, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed, Dr. Sujatha Addagatla and the staff at Mount St Mary's Hospital for their care and support provided throughout her illness.

    SANBORN - Edwin W. Beutel, 74, of 2427 Lockport Road, was pronounced dead on arrival today (July 9, 1974) in Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls, after an apparent heart attack at home.
    He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, residing at the same address all his life. He had been employed at the Kimberly Clark Corp. as a machine operator where he had worked for over 30 years prior to retiring in 1965.
    He is survived by his wife, Alice Beutel; seven sons, the Rev. Eugene Beutel of Neptune, N.J., Allen Beutel of San Diego, Calif., Kenneth Beutel of Sanborn, the Rev. LeRoy Beutel of Baltimore, Md., James Beutel and Edwin Beutel Jr., both of Sanborn, the Rev. Donald Beutel of Lockbourne, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Jarry (Jeannette) Kroening of Sanborn, Mrs. Beatrice Lane of Albany and Mrs. James (Audrey) Tierney of Stow, OH; a brother. Walter Beutel of Wheatfield; 34 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harold L. Baum will officiate.
    Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    The family will be present at the Rhoney Funeral Horne. Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

    Alice R. Beutel, 85, formerly of Lockport Road, died Monday (July 24, 1989) in the Niagara Lutheran Home, Buffalo.
    The former Alice R. Williams was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield until she moved to Buffalo four years ago. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Walmore and the church Women's Circle. She was a former member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    Her husband, Edwin W. Beutel, died in 1974.
    Survivors include seven sons, Dr. Eugene of Camp Hill, Pa., Dr. Allen of LaJolla, Calif., Kenneth of North Tonawanda, the Rev. LeRoy of Arlington, Va., the Rev. Donald of Baltimore, Edwin W.     NIAGARA FALLS — Alice M. (Baes) Hooter passed away at her home on Saturday, November 5, 2011. She was 93. She was born in Gasport, New York on July 5, 1918, a daughter of Charles and Harriet (Jerge) Baes.

    Mrs. Hooter is survived by her son, Roger Andrew; her daughter, Patricia Bunnell; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters, Maryland Andrews and Pauline Beutel; and her brothers, Clifford and Walter Baes.

    The family will be present at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday from 1-2 PM, where prayers will be said at 2 PM. Burial will be private in North Ridge Cemetery.
