    TOWN OF NIAGARA - Bert A. DeVantier, 64, of Lockport Road, died Sunday (May 7,1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was born Feb. 6, 1931, in the Town of Niagara, the son of Adolph and Hilda (Beutel) DeVantier. He married Janice M. Kriedemann on Sept. 3, 1955. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by the Carborundum County, Buffalo Avenue plant, for 26 years before the plant closed. He also was self-employed for 20 years as the owner and manager of the Tired Iron Transport Co. A lifelong resident of the town, he was also a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bert W. DeVantier of the Town of Niagara and Lee G. DeVantier of Seoul, Korea; two sisters, Lillian DuBois of the Town of Niagara and Edna Walck of Wheatfield; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road. The Rev. Ronald Majeroni will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

    Services for Bert A. DeVantier, 64, of Lockport Road will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    DeVantier died Sunday (May 7, 1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
    He was native and lifelong resident of Wheatfield and an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
    He was employed for 26 years at Carborundum Co.'s Buffalo Avenue plant until it closed. He also was self-employed for 20 years as the owner and manager of Tired Iron Transport Co.
    DeVantier was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Janice M. Kriedemann; two sons, Lee G. of Seoul, Korea, and Bert W.; and two sisters, Edna Walck of Wheatfield and Lillian DuBois.

    TOWN OF NIAGARA —
    Janice M. (Kriedemann) DeVantier, age 82 of Erlanger, KY, formerly of the Town of Niagara, was called to her heavenly home on January 2, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on March 3, 1931 she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Thompson) Kriedemann.
    Janice was a graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy in Kenmore and a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Her interests included reading, assembling puzzles, Bible study, spending quality time with her family, working at the family business and was a devoted homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert A. DeVantier on May 7, 1995. They were united in marriage on September 3, 1955.
    Survivors include two sons, Bert W. (Beth) DeVantier of Independence, KY and Lee G. (Maire) DeVantier of Falls Church, VA; a grandson, Aidan L. DeVantier; two sisters-in-law, Lillian DuBois and Edna Walck; and several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Saturday, January 11th from 1-3 PM. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jonathon Haseley on Saturday at 3:00 PM following visitation in the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.     Adolph DeVantier, 87, of 9811 Lockport Road, died today (June 24, 1977) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
    A lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, he was a blacksmith throughout Western New York for over 60 years, prior to retiring in 1965.
    He had served as the Town of Niagara Justice of the Peace and as a trustee of the Niagara District No. 2 School. He was an exempt member of the Niagara Fire Co. No.1 and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    He had celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary April 22, 1977.
    Survivors include his wife, Hulda Beutel DeVantier, a son, Bert of this community; two daughters, Mrs. Hugo (Lillian) Walck of the Town of Wheatfield and Mrs. Edwin (Edna) DuBois of this community; a sister, Mrs. Philip (Rose) Walck, Town of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

    BERHOLTZ (sic), April 6 -A number of friends and relatives from this village attended the funeral services for William DeVantier, 79, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence on Lockport Road and at 2:30 o'clock from St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward F. Grabau officiated. Mr. DeVantier was the husband of Matilda Pfuhl, father of Mrs. Philip Haseley, Adolph DeVantier, William DeVantier and Mrs. Philip Walck, all of Walmore; brother of Albert DeVantier, of St. Johnsburg, and Mrs. Auguste Kroening, also of Walmore. He was the father of the late Albert DeVantier, of Walmore, who was electrocuted at his home last Fall, when he came in contact with a live wire and killed instantly. Interment was in Walmore cemetery.

    Nash Rd. Man Killed In Auto Crash Sunday
    Fractured Skull Fatal to Gustav Kriedemann, Mason Contractor – Accident Occurred in Buffalo – Drivers Lay Charges
    Gustav Kriedemann, 52, of 837 Nash road, well known mason contractor here, was almost instantly killed yesterday when an auto, driven by his son Edwin, 24, and a car, driven by Dr. George R. Turk of 595 Lafayette avenue, collided at the intersection of Parker avenue and Amherst street, Buffalo.
    Mr. Kriedemann suffered a fractured skull.
    As a result of the accident which also caused painful but not serious injuries to Mrs. Marie Kriedemann, a passenger in her son’s car and Mrs. Mary L. Turk, 66 years old, wife of the doctor, both drivers were booked at the Central Park station with one complaint against the other.
    On complaint of Dr. Turk, Edwin Kriedemann was charged with reckless driving, and on complaint of Kriedemann, Dr. Turk was charged with passing a boulevard stop sign. Neither driver was injured.
    Kriedemann was driving north in Parker avenue and Dr. Turk west in Amherst street. The cars came together at the intersection and the impact tipped over the Kriedemann machine. The elder Kriedemann was thrown out landing on the pavement on his head. He died within a few minutes.
    Mrs. Kriedemann suffered cuts and bruises. She insisted on being taken home for treatment. Mrs. Turk, who suffered cuts and also a possible rib fracture also was taken home.
    Accidental Death
    Despite the fact that each driver laid a charge against the other Medical Examiner Francis M. Kujawa announced a certificate of accidental death would be issued.
    Besides his wife and son, Edwin, Mr. Kriedemann is survived by two sons William and Walter; one daughter, Alice; one granddaughter, Janis Kriedemann all of North Tonawanda; two brothers, John Wendt of North Tonawanda and Martin Wendt of Rochester, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Proefrock of Alexander, N.Y.
    Mr. Kriedemann was a member of St. Peter’s church, Thompson street; the Bricklayers, Masons and Plasterer’s Union of the Tonawandas and the Eldredge Bicycle club.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon from the late home. Rev. Ernst Schneppe of St. Peter’s church will officiate and burial will be in White Chapel Memorial park

    KRIEDEMANN Marie Kriedemann, 80, of 87 Minerva St., Tonawanda, died Friday evening (Feb. 24, 1967) in Genesee Hospital, Rochester, N. Y., following a short illness.
    Wife of the late Gustave Kriedemann, she is survived by three sons, Walter and William of North Tonawanda, and Dr. Edwin Kriedemann of Pittsford, N.
