    Wayne L. Haseley, a longtime United Auto Workers officer and member of the executive board at Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union, died Tuesday (Jan. 20, 2004) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was 62. The Lockport native was a graduate of Lockport High School. He was a committeeman for UAW Local 686 at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems for two terms. He was then elected to the Shop Committee and during his first term was elected shop chairman, serving for two more terms. Haseley was instrumental in the development of the Quality of Work Life Program in the 1980s and in 1981 became head of the Jobs Bank at Delphi. Haseley was appointed to the executive board at Cornerstone in 1991 and was elected chairman in 1995. He also served on committees for education and training, building, bylaws, personnel and delinquency/doubtful loans. He was also a Directors Educational Forum member of the Credit Union Executive Society. He received the Filene Award in the New York State Credit Union League Volunteer Achievement Program for completing all credit union educational modules for directors. Haseley served on the credit union board until retiring in 2000. He also enjoyed camping, bicycling, walking and NASCAR. Survivors include his wife, the former Nellie Fura; a son, Kevin of Newfane; three daughters, Susan Bond of Wellsville, and Gail Silversmith and Rhonda Tatu, both of Lockport; three brothers, Larry, Warren and Richard, all of Lockport; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery

    LOCKPORT - Mervin G. Haseley, 64, of 143 High St., died Friday (Sept. 5, 1975) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born May 23, 1911, son of Rudolph and Louise Haseley in Sanborn. He retired this year from Harrison Radiator Division, General Motors Corp., where he worked as an assembler. He lived in Lockport the past 18 years. There are no calling hours and services will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Hetherly; five sons, Lawrence, Warren, David and Richard Haseley, all of Lockport, and Wayne Haseley of Burt; two step-sons, Eric Brick of California and Jerry Brick of Lockport; a brother; Milton Haseley of Sanborn; two sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Thelma) Shell of Arizona and Mrs. Robert (Delores) Schuler of Sanborn; and 21 grandchildren.

    Mrs. Louise Wittkop Hasley, 33 years of age died at her home Monday, November
    27. She had been ill and a great sufferer for the past two years. She is survived by her husband. Rudolph Hasley and three small children; also three brothers, Edward, George and Ben Wittkop and two sisters. The funeral was held Wednesday, November 29, at the Pekin German church.
