    Of Bergholz, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 22, 1948, the son of the late Melvin and Winifred [Franke] Haseley.

    Bruce attended St. James Lutheran School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a fork lift operator with Harrison Radiator in Lockport for over 34 years, before retiring in 1998.
    Bruce was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church and the Wheatfield American Legion Post. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping in the 1,000 Islands and was a talented craftsman.

    Bruce was the husband of 45 years to Barbara A. Haseley, the father of the late Matthew Haseley and he is survived by one daughter Michelle (Kevin) Gibson, three grandchildren Alexis, Matthew and Luke Gibson, one brother Arthur (Janice) Haseley, one sister Diana (James) Winch, his mother in law Alice (late Raymond) Haseley and was the brother in law of Gordon (Sharen), Russell (Susan), Robert (Dale) Haseley, Sandra (late Donald) Slusser, Deborah (John) Galleciez, Joyce (William) Schimschack, Brenda (late Jeffrey) Marohn, Gregory (Mary Ellen) Jeffrey (Kathy), Kevin (Lori), Glenn (Bonnie) and Brent (Deborah) Haseley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother in law of the late Vickie and Barbara Haseley.

    His family will present on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz, NY, with the Rev. Philip N. Sallach officiating.

    Memorials may be made in his name to St. James Lutheran Church building fund.

    BERGHOLTZ - Melvin C. Haseley, 66, of Bergholtz died yesterday (Dec. 5, 1983) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
    A native of the Town of Lewiston, he lived in Bergholtz for more than 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
    He had been employed as a pressman for Moore Business Forms for 36 years, before retiring in 1968.
    He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, a past commander of the Wheatfield American Legion Post 1451, an exempt member of the Bergholtz Volunteer Fire County, and a member of the VFW Post 9011 in Niagara Falls.
    Survivors include his wife, Winifred (Franke); two sons, Arthur of Tonawanda, and Bruce of Bergholtz; a daughter, Mrs. James O. (Diana) Winch of Grand Island; a brother, Clarence Haseley of Bergholtz; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Volker of Bergholtz and Mrs. Norman (Mabel) Harder of North Tonawanda; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Brown.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Crilley officiating. Burial will be at St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. Contributions to the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church are acceptable as tribute.
    The Wheatfield American Legion Post 1451 will conduct memorial services tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Winifred M. Haseley, 83, of Rohr Street died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
    Born in Niagara Falls, the former Winifred Franke graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She moved to Bergholz in 1940
    She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school, and a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion.
    Mrs. Haseley worked at the former Rogers Paper Co. in Niagara Falls for 15 years until retiring.
    Her husband, Melvin C., died in 1983. Surviving are a daughter, Diana Winch of McHenry, ILl.; two sons, Arthur M. of Kenmore and Bruce E.; and four grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

    Raymond E. Haseley, 78, of Town of Niagara, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in the Buffalo General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
    He was a life long resident of the Town of Niagara, born on the family farm, on, July 21, 1924, the son of Hubert D. and Esther L. [ DeVantier ] Haseley. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Sanborn, NY. Ray grew up on the family farm, and attended the LaSalle High School and was a graduate of the Trott Vocation High School, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, in 1942. He was employed at the Dairylea Dairy for 30 years, leaving in 1977, to continue working his second job at Haseley Trucking Company, where he had been employed for 30 years, prior to his retirement, in 1988.
    He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, in Niagara Falls, where he was an Elder and council member for many years. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 449. Ray enjoyed to traveling, taking his wife and his 13 children, on many camping trips. His home was always open to his family and friends, at any time. The friendships were plentiful and the celebrations were always happening at his home.
    His greatest joy in recent years were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, having them over and going to share the many sporting school experiences.
    Surviving is his devoted wife of 57 years the former Alice Gordon, and 13 children, Gordon [ Sharen ] Haseley; Russell [ Barbara ] Haseley; Robert [ Dale ] Haseley; Sandra [ Donald ] Slusser; Barbara [ Bruce ] Haseley; Deborah [ John ] Galleciez; Joyce [ William ] Schimschack; Brenda [ Jeffery ] Marohn; Gregory [ Vickie ] Haseley; Jeffery [ Kathleen ] Haseley; Kevin [ Lori Sornberger ] Haseley; Glenn [ Bonnie Burns ] Haseley; Brent [ Deborah ] Haseley; brother-in-law, Gary Gordon; two sisters, Elverna [ late Howard] Catlin; Doris [ William ] Davis; sister-in-law, Lois Haseley; brother-in-law Edward [ Ruth ] Gordon; also survived by 25 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.     With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear devoted mother, Alice C. (Née Gordon) Haseley.  She went to be with the Lord, and our father Raymond, the love of her life, on Sunday, February 4, 2018.  Born on September 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Harrott) Gordon.  
    Alice was born in the city of Niagara Falls, where as a young girl, she was employed at Belbot’s and worked in the accounting department for her aunt and uncle, Alice and Walter Belbot.  In 1946, she married our father, Raymond E. Haseley.  They moved from the city out to the country on Lockport Road, where they raised 13 children, in addition to her younger brother, Gary Gordon.  Although a full house, family and friends were always welcome.  She gave true meaning to the saying, “enter as friends and leave as family.”  Her sweetness and kindness to everyone who entered our home will always be remembered. She truly exhibited the most abundant love to all and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
    Alice was a lifelong and active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, until its closing.  She joined St. James Lutheran Church, and became a member of the church community.  Alice was also a member of Ladies Home Bureau, and in her younger years, enjoyed bowling.
    Alice is survived by her children, Brent (Debbie) Haseley, Glenn (Bonnie) Haseley, Kevin (Lori) Haseley, Jeff (Kathy) Haseley, Greg (MaryEllen) Haseley, Brenda (late Jeff) Marohn, Joyce (Bill) Schimschack, Debbie (John) Galleciez, Barbara (late Bruce) Haseley, Bob (Dale) Haseley and Russell (Sue) Haseley; daughter-in-law, Sharen Haseley; grandchildren, Kasey, Keith, Brent, Genna, Ella, Deanna, Lindsey, Ryan, Kevin, Tony, Steve, Jolene, Bryan, Deena, Dave, Michael, Jennifer, John, Michelle, Stacy, Rhonda, Shawn, Kristen, Ken and Gordie; 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Doris (late William) Davis and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by son, Gordon (Sharen) Haseley; daughter, Sandra (late Don) Slusser; grandson, Matthew; brothers, Edward (late Ruth) and Gary Gordon, and daughter-in-laws, Vickie and Barbara Haseley. 
    We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the 1st floor nurses and staff at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for their wonderful and loving care of our mother, and kindness extended to our family.  
    Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, in the Town of Niagara.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, February 10th at 9:30 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road in Bergholz.  PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Interment will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Caring Friends of St. James Lutheran Church.
