    WHEATFIELD - Gilbert E. Walck, 60, of Maple Drive, Wheatfield, died at his residence Monday (Aug. 22,1988). He had been ill for some time. A lifelong, active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Walck served as elder, trustee, choir member, past chairman of the school board, church secretary and member of the Lutheran Laymen's League. He was a designer and engineer at Union Carbide Corp. for almost 30 years and a member of the Bergholz German Band. He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Fire Co.
    He is survived by his wife Shirley (Moll) Walck; daughters, Kathleen Thompson of Glastonbury, Conn., and Rebecca Berardi of Buffalo; sons, Michael Walck of Tonawanda and Larry Walck of Sanborn; sisters, Althea Haseley, Lorraine Moeller and June Wirth, all of Wheatfield; a brother, Albert Walck of Schenectady; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
    There will be no visitation.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara and Luther streets, Bergholz. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz. Contributions to Holy Ghost. Lutheran Church's Roof Fund or the Niagara Hospice Inc. are acceptable as tribute. Funeral arrangements were made by the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield.

    Shirley M. Walck (Moll), age 77, of Niagara Falls, was called to her heavenly home after a brief illness, on January 12, 2009 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY on July 10, 1931 to the late Edward and Lydia (Schimshack) Moll. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Gilbert E. Walck on August 22, 1988.She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where she participated in many volunteer activities. For many years, Shirley was an active member of the Bergholz German Blaskapelle and enjoyed marching in parades, playing and singing in their concerts.Survivors include four children, Kathy (husband George) Thompson of Glastonbury, CT, Larry (wife Randy) Walck of Sanborn, Rebecca (husband John) Reger of Sarasota, FL, Michael (wife Gina) Walck of Tonawanda; a sister, Delores (husband Bill) Andrees of North Tonawanda; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey Thompson, Heather Cherico, Holly Walck, Brianna Walck and Aaron Reger.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Friday, January 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald D. Oravec on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road.     church, Bergholtz.
    The Rev. Walter F. Williams,
    cousin of the bride, Defiance, O., of-
    ficiated at the double-ring cere-
    mony. Edward Schultz, cousin of
    the bride, was soloist and Theodore
    Grabau, organist, provided the
    wedding music.
    The bride, given in marriage by

    her father, chose a gown of white
    marquisette over satin with Illusion
    neckline outlined with a ruffle oi
    lace. The tight fitting bodice was
    made with long sleeves coming to
    a point over the wrists and the full.
    circulsr skirt, worn over a hoop,
    and caught with satin bows, was
    edged with lace and fashioned into
    a court train._ A lace-edged fingertip
    veil of Illusion fell from a
    Mary. Queen of Scots, crown of lace
    She carried a colonial bououet of
    gardenias surrounded by baby
    mums. Her only jewelry was a
    necklace belonging to her late
    mother.
    Miss Lois Frerichs, cousin of the
    bride, was maid-of-honor, wear-
    ing a gown of yellow marquisette
    over taffeta. She carried a colonial
    bouquet of blue carnations surround-
    ed by white baby mums.

    groom, and Miss Shirley Roslunri.
    as bridesmaids, wore blue gowns
    identical to that of the maid of
    honor and carried colonial bouquets.
    Miss Norma Stange, the junior
    bridesmaid, and little Miss Ann
    Dunn, flower girl, wore gowns and
    carried flowers like those of the
    bridesmaids. All wore necklaces,
    gifts of the bride.
    Albert Walck, brother of the
    groom, was best man and the ushers
    were Albert Haseley, brother-in-law
    of the groom, and William A. And-
    rees, brother-in-law of the bride
    Gary Andrees, nephew of the bride,
    was ring-bearer.
    A dinner was given at the Berg-
    holtz Community hall for 125 guests..
    A reception for 300 followed.
    Prenuptial events for the bride

    rees, Miss Lois Frerichs, Mrs. David

Mrs. Walck was a member of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Ladies' Aid Society, the Altar Society, the Missionary League, the Town of Wheatfield Senior Citizens, and the Town of Wheatfield Republican Club.     One of the prettiest weddings of the
    season was solemnized at Bergholtz
    on Sunday afternoon, June 14, at the
    Holky Ghost church when Miss Elea-
    nor Stoelting, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. Albert Stoelting, was united in
    marriage to Erick Walck, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Albert Walck of Sanbornm,
    the Rev. J. R. Kuchenbecker officiat-
    ing.
    Promptly at twelve o'clock to the
    strains of Lohengrin's wedding march
    played by Walter Urtel, the bridal
    party entered the church which was
    attractively decorated with ferns,
    peonies, and cut flowers. The bride
    looked charming in a gown of white
    satin back crepe, trimmed with lace
    and pearls and carried a shower
    bouquet of roses and lilies of the val-
    ley. Her veil was trimmed with
    Dutchess lace in coronet style and was
    embroidered. The maid of honor,
    Miss Louise Walck, sistrer of the
    groom, was dressed in peach color
    crepe, carried pink roses and smilax
    a wore a picture hat.
    The bride's maids, Miss Ruth Du-
    Bois wore a yellow crepe dress and
    carried roses and ferns. Miss a.
    Jagow wore a pink crepe dress and
    carried roses and ferns. Miss Cora
    Obenhaus was dressed in yellow
    crepe and carried roses and ferns.
    They all wore picture hats of silk
    maline to match their gowns. Little
    Alice Stoelting, sister of the bride
    was glower girl and was dressed in
    white crepe. She carried pink and
    white sweet peas in a white basket.
    The ushers were Ben Devantier, Ed-
    ward Mueller, A. Stoelting, H. Stoelt-
    ing, F. Stoelting and I. Stoelting.
    The double ring service was used.
    A solo was given by Mrs. Eleanor
    Ferchen Williams, with Miss Adelia
    Ferchen at the organ. Benediction
    followed the ceremony. a receiption
    was held at the home of the groom
    the decorations being pink and white,
    about 150 guests were present.
    The bride's table was set for 40 and
    was centered with a large wedding
    cake, roses, peonies and ferns. The
    young couple received many beautiful
    gifts. Out of town guests were pre-
    ent from Electra, Texas, Ill.,, Tona-
    wanda, Cambria and Niagara Falls.

    Albert Stoelting Dies at Bergholtz
    Funeral of Well Known Resident on Thursday Afternoon.
    BERGHOLTZ, July 22.-Albert Stoelting, 59, died Monday at his home on the Sy road after a year's illness. He had been a well known carpenter for many years. He built the Holy Ghost church in 1907, of which he was a very active member, and was elected a deacon by that congregation many times. He was born in this village and lived here all his life. He was well known throughout Niagara county. He is survived by his wife, Anna Jagow Stoelting, four sons, Herbert, Arnold, Theodore and Alvin and three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Mueller, Mrs. Erick Walck and Alice, all of this village, five grandchildren and two brothers, Julius Stoelting of this village, and Herman Stoelting of North Tonawanda, and one sister, Mrs. John Strassburg, of Sanborn, besides a large circle of friends and relatives. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house and half an hour later at the Holy Ghost church in Bergholtz. Burial will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery The Rev. John Kuchenbecker will conduct the services.

    BERGHOLZ - Mrs. Julia Schultz Moll, 79, widow of the late John R. Moll, Church Rd., died today (Feb. 26, 1959) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. Surviving are three sons, Edward, Philip and Rudolph Moll, all of the Town of Wheatfield; four brothers, Philip, Lebrecht and John Schultz, all of Niagara Falls, and Rudolph Schultz, Sanborn; and two sisters Mrs. Walter Wurl, Lockport, and Mrs. Edward Nemeschy, Lancaster. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Saturday Service will be conducted by fhe Rev. Ernest E. Dietz at St James Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m Burial will be in St James cemetery.

    Albert F. Schimschack, 32 years old, a well known resident of Bergholtz,
    died at his home late Saturday afternoon as the effects of typhoid fever.
    The deceased is survived by his widow and three children, his mother, Mrs.
    Albert Schimschack and five brothers, Herman, Ferdinand, Frederick, Otto and
    August Schimschack. The funeral will be held from the late home at
    Bergholtz at 2 o'clock and a half hour later from the German Lutheran Church
    at Bergholtz. Burial will be at Bergholtz

    Mrs. Emma Schimschack, 65, wife of Herman Schimschack of Washington street,
    Bergholtz, died yesterday morning in the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls,
    after a short illness. She was born in the town of Wheatfield and had
    resided there all her life. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters,
    Mrs. Edward Moll of St. Johnsburg, Mrs. Wilbert Wolanske of Bergholtz and
    Mrs. Hilda Stenzel of St. Johnsburg; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph Hardy of
    Getzville and Mrs. William Bradford of Ming Junction, O.; two sons, Edward
    of North Tonawanda and Clarence Wolf of St. Johnsburg; eight grandchildren,
    a sister, August Schimschack of Bergholtz, and two brothers, William Voelker
    of Bergholtz and Philip Schimschack of North Tonawanda. Rites will be
    conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wolanske at
    Niagara road and Falls boulevard, at 2 o'clock and from the St. James church
    at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate and burial will be in
    St. James cemetery.
